It was so bad. The smoothie was not a smoothie. The fish ball with steam rice noodle was not good. Fish ball was too soft and the steam rice noodle was hard.

Five stars for being perfectly what it is. A friendly, cozy, inexpensive snack shops. There’s a good amount of variety within the categories of Taiwan style«bao» sandwiches, noodle soups, hibachi, appetizers and bubble teas. Staff is competent to make sure you get your order correct in at least 3 languages(I impose my poor Mandarin on them and easily resort to English when I get stuck and I’ve overheard Cantonese several times). The baos are a lot of bread but super fresh and tasty. Skewers are and succulent. Noodle soups are a great value with a fair portion of meat veggies and springy noodles. Although, gathers is always a steam tray full of fish balls and another with beef chunks on display, everything, in my experience, is made to order. Worth the two minute wait. I should should add that while Chinatown is not exactly the Mecca for fans of European/American style coffee, this place serves up a decent cup, hot or cold.

First of all, this place is open. Before they ever closed, I’ve visited 3 times to get their curry fish balls. The texture and everything was so inconsistent. Today I tried their wrap. It wasn’t bad but I guess I didn’t really appreciate the shells on the shrimp… I didn’t expect it since it’s placed inside the wrap. The guy working the cashier is nice and would explain things when asked but he takes his sweet time.

Cute little place on the corner, we stopped by here really quickly to grab some breakfast before our tour bus departed. The lady was really sweet, and did her best to work quickly since everyone else also seemed to be in a hurry. She seemed to understand English well enough but ordering was not too problematic since we knew a little Chinese. She can speak both Cantonese and Mandarin. We ordered the First Stop Special Bun and she recommended chicken for the meat. We added milk tea to our order for an additional dollar. The milk tea was very simple and not too sweet, which I enjoyed. The bun was yummy, it had a nice balance of lettuce, meat, cilantro, and hoisin sauce(: and although we did not sample other types of meat we were very happy with the chicken bun, it really was a good recommendation!

YUMM! My friends and I were starving while we were waiting for our Niagara Falls/Thousand Islands Tour Bus and decided to drop by this restaurant to pick up some food before we left. The cashier recommended their 1st Stop Special Bun with chicken for $ 3.50 each and we added milk tea to our order for another $ 1. For $ 4.50, we had a delicious and satisfying breakfast! If I am ever in the area, I will stop here again for a snack! :-)

This restaurant was open not too long ago and their menu has been expanding every so often since then. They offer food ranging from deserts(ie mango desert), drinks(milk tea), snacks(onigiri), and chinese rice dishes(meat with rice). Prices are very inexpensive even for Chinatown standard. They have a few counter spaces and seats for you to eat but not too many. It is definitely more of a take-out than an Eat-in restaurant.

Little hole in the wall on the corner of Hester. 1st stop offers a variety of street food items, I went in for a quick bite. I had their beef tripe with steamed rice noodles, not too bad, portions are pretty big for what you’re paying. Definitely a grab and go spot, there wasn’t much seating, maybe enough for 3 — 4 people? Aside from street food they also sold a variety of tea and bubble tea. I could see this place becoming a hang out spot for highschoolers.
