A contemporary and cozy little café. I love it! The latte there tastes really good and they have cute little treats. I actually haven’t tried the wraps or candies but I want to one day. I’m obsessed with Scandinavian things! I ordered a Matcha latte this morning and it was pretty good too. The first taste was bold and flavorful. It’s not as strong as an espresso based latte but it had a slight kick.

Friendly staff, good coffee, fresh bakery It’s a good place to grab a coffee and check the news or just spend some time by yourself. It’s a tiny spot and people don’t usually sit there, yet there are a few chairs for you to get your thoughts together and rest your mind.

Nicest people ever to pour me a fine cup of coffee. Im sad to leave NYC today because tomorrow i won’t be able to walk around the corner from my rental to say hi to the boys and sip delish machiatto.

I came here on a Monday afternoon and was greeted by the incredibly friendly staff. They were playing upbeat music so it wasn’t just the coffee that perked me up! Even as people came in, the staff greeted the customers by name, and were probably regulars to the shop. I ordered the latte and it came in this saucer that held the cup a more towards the side than the center. It allowed room for cookies and other sweets to share the plate. The latte itself was a perfect temperate and the latte art was pretty standard. The cup was a decently sized too, which can sometimes be hard to find in the city. The shop was small and cozy with two tables that seated two people each, as well as a window ledge to sit at. I would definitely come here on any day with a nice book or laptop to hang.

I came across this place as I was about and hour and half early to my doctors appointment. It’s a cute little spot and I’m a fan of the décor but that being said I was not really a fan of the coffee or pastries. I went with a chai latte and it kinda tasted like I was drinking milk with the most subtle hint of chai… The pastry was a Swedish princess cake which happens to be one of my favorites… It was kinda bland. I was just expecting a little more. I liked the atmosphere and sat and drank my drink for almost an hour and the guys at the front were all super nice and attentive but it wasn’t that great. I think I’ll come back and give this place another try and just try something different. Not the worst but I was just expecting better

The coffee and desserts are always very tasty. Lots of choices to pick from and plenty of seating as well.

I like coming here sometimes for the modern atmosphere. Not only is it a trendy environment, but the baristas are so fun and friendly! They also have a lot of tasty treats if you’re looking to satisfy your sugar needs. Overall, not the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had, but it still was good. They have a great Chi latte, which is a splurge, but still very good. They have almond milk and truvia packets. That’s always a plus in my book.

I came in on a whim in desperate need of caffeine and was not disappointed!!! I wanted to order my usual(hazelnut latte) but they told me they don’t flavor their lattes. One of the baristas was really sweet and offered to fix me up a Hazelnut truffle latte with a purchase of a Hazelnut truffle. It was AMAZING. Chocolate truffle lattes should be a thing. Honestly it was probably the best hazelnut latte I’ve ever had. It was really really smooth and slightly rich. Kind of like an upgraded mocha. I’d say the only con would be the price point… It’s quite pricey even for a plain latte.

Pretty darn good offerings at this FIKA and the others I have been to. The espresso here is pretty strong and a bit bitter so be prepared. All of the pastry case options look and most that I have tried ARE actually fantastic. Great alternative to other bland coffee shops in the hood and around. Worth a trip over here to get you through the day.

The service is extremely slow and the workers are mostly not welcoming they take forever to serve something. If you wanna bring swedish bakery in ny bring swedish professionalism and hospitality too. I am ashamed as a scandinavian. And they just hired an old woman who is slower than the slow ones. I like the matcha tea latte but cardemom bun is too sweet for a swedish bakery. And their egg sandwich is the worst. Couldnt eat it and it is overpriced for what it is. 2 stars for the matcha tea latte eventhough it is also overpriced.

Why is everything there so damn good? This particular Fika is the best Fika. The staff is so nice and they always remember me(and I’m not even a local) I’ll admit a truffle sample on a bad day didn’t hurt but hey, I remember. And I went out of my way to go back bc that sea salt caramel truffle was so amazing. Also, random place to have a great steak sandwich but their skirt steak sandwich was really awesome too. Five stars and two thumbs up! Thanks Ramone!

Not a big fan of overhyped over priced shops. This is definitely one of them. Espresso shot was sour, with no crema, and wasn’t even hot, it was warm at best. However, I did try the cold brew and that was pretty good.

Went in with extra high hopes… completely disappointed. Fika has a very good rep around town and I was really looking forward to that experience. Unfortunately I may have gotten the opposite of what everyone else had. As with any shop I go to I always start with an espresso and finish with a latte or cappuccino. Espresso: sour, over extracted and sadly underwhelming. I’m not sure if it was the barista(who claimed to have 3 years experience with Fika) or just the coffee. Latte: over steamed, macro foam and awful With any barista I am always looking for quality milk work and this one was awful. No art work and the milk was scalded and burnt tasting. The espresso didn’t shine through at all because of the milk. I have been back two times just to be sure and I was very disappointed both times, to which I will most likely not go back, even in a pinch. I’m not certain where the reviews came from or if maybe they’re for a different Fika, but this one was bad. It was unorganized, not too clean and just bad experience overall. The second star was for the chocolates factor. They are delightful and if that is what you are looking for then go for that and skip the coffee.

the lattes were okay– I’ve had better. The pastries(although look beautiful) are disappointing. The croissant was very dry and the«princess cake» was 90% cream and like 10% cake. Prices are super expensive– but hey it is is midtown!

This Swedish café/pastry/sandwich chain is what Starbucks wishes it could be! The coffee tastes like coffee(not burnt). The sandwiches are fresh and delicious. I personally love the egg salad. The pastries are European style(fresh and not too sweet). The ambiance is airy and clean, and the staff is courteous and knowledgeable.

Probably my favorite coffee in the area. They have a ton of options, though I usually for the medium iced coffee. The staff is super nice(even when I failed to cap my drink properly and spilled coffee everywhere, the first thing they asked was if I wanted a refill). They also sell food. They have a limited selection of lunch wraps, which are reasonably priced and have funny Swedish names that would make Ikea proud. I had the chicken salad wrap, which was pretty good. Also tried a biscotti once(yes, I know a single biscotti is a biscotto).

Cozy Swedish style? Café. They sell signature chocolates and some treats. Me and my friend ordered ice coffee and Messy cake, Lemon tart for each. Messy cake was way too sweet and heavy to me. Drink was nothing special. They add milk when ordering just like Dunkin’, but I don’t like that style. And this location had no Wifi, which was sad thing. With much more spacious Starbucks a blocks away, I would rather choose it from next time.

We had an eye for this lovely coffee place«FIKA» for long and finally paid a visit last weekend. We were first drawn to it for its selection of font and graphic design, and its coffee turned out totally lives up to its indie brand image. More of mine review at

This is the smallest Fika, I think. Just in and out. The service was fine and the blueberry muffin was very good and very fresh. The coffee here was solid, but I wish it were a little hotter. Their coffee is a little over priced, so I just wish it were awesome. It’s good but not awesome coffee. I had the salmon wrap, which was fine. I also tried a truffle, which I had been meaning to do for quite a while. I had the salted caramel, which was simply amazing. wow is all I have to say about it. The other baked goods looked great. I am not in this area very often, but I’ll grab a coffee and baked good if I am.

Great little espresso bar to duck in for an afternoon pick-me-up. There is very limited space for seating, so be aware of that. That’s pretty much the only thing keeping this place from 5 stars. I had a double Americano and it was done perfectly… absolutely no bitterness, very rich and smooth. The truffles are also really really good… a bit pricey but worth at least a try. or two.

In my reviews I generally try to focus on the actual food/drinks yet the staff and environment inevitably play a significant role in my overall experience. I’ll preface everything by saying that I truly enjoy the coffee drinks and baked goods from this location. The chocolate muffins have always been moist and the I think there’s a coconut cookie that is the perfect mid-afternoon snack. I typically pass by this FIKA en route to work and I only stop in occasionally(given the slightly higher prices). Yesterday afternoon, after a particularly hard day at work, my boss and I decided to treat ourselves by coming here for an iced coffee. The shop was empty save for the barista and another staff member. After walking up to the counter and asking for a cold brew, the barista aggressively informed us that they did not serve cold brew, but ice coffee. We nodded, acknowledging our mistake and we asked for an ice coffee. The situation really should have ended there. Simple mistake on our part. However, instead of grabbing ice coffee, the barista proceeded to chastise us for not understanding the difference between iced coffee and cold brew. It just kept going and I remember looking at my boss, wondering how exactly to handle this incredibly uncomfortable situation. Two minutes in, my boss nodded at me to just leave, with him still loudly complaining as we walked outside. Three words for you sir: HAKUNAYOURTATAS. Seriously. Rather than take a condescending tone to your customers, why not simply educate or move along(if that’s not worth your time).

I ordered an iced latte. I was then asked if I wanted 1 shot of espresso or 2. Hmm… never been asked that before! After being informed of the usual preferences, I got 1 shot. This was such a delicious iced latte. I don’t know what they put in it exactly, but it was super creamy.

I got here an hour before my meeting so it gave me plenty of time to take everything in. Had a large iced coffee which was very good. The traffic came in mid-afternoon waves with quite a few quiet times. The interesting part is they never emptied the overflowing garbage can, wiped a table, refilled the pitcher of lemon water or attempted to clean up the floor. There are only 3 tables in this tiny place so obviously the people behind the counter just don’t care. At these prices, they should pay a bit more attention to the atmosphere.
