I purchased a Yamaha U3 last summer, and want to say that the experience has been altogether positive. The sales person, Dmitri, was extremely engaged without being overbearing, and he was very welcoming during my multiple visits, with and without my piano teacher who was guiding me. Even more importantly, the follow-up service through tunings and tweekings has been excellent. I feel very secure, and would definitely recommend them to friends.

The most serious and reliable piano store in NYC. I am a professional pianist and am always impressed the amazing selection the top notch quality of Faust Harrison’s pianos. Every instrument I’ve tried at the store is beautifully prepared and the standards of excellence the company uphold are outstanding. I particularly love their Steinways, and the work they do to rebuild them is amazing. I’ve particularly enjoyed Richard Sasnow’s help. He is very knowledgeable, professional and has been able to give me great advice on instruments.

I walked in to Faust Harrison Piano to purchase a Yamaha Clavinova clp 585 and was treated as if i walked in to purchase a Bosendorfer Imperial although I was wearing my work clothes and construction boots. The customer service was outstanding, Sara definitely went above and beyond to meet my expectations. I will definitely recommend anyone looking to buy a piano to visit the Faust Harrison showroom, it’s definitely the best Piano store in NY.

I joined a friend in NY a couple of weeks ago to help her shop for a piano. Except for a stop for lunch in my old neighborhood on the UWS, we spent the entire day visiting all the major piano shops. We ended our quest at Faust Harrison Pianos on West 58th Street and wished we had gone there first. What a good experience! Richard was absolutely great. He was very helpful, amazingly knowledgeable and a true gentleman. It was a pleasure to work with him. As for the pianos, we loved almost all of them. They were beautiful and very well presented. They had a good selection of brands, some of which we knew and some of which were new to us. Space considerations ultimately narrowed the search down to three tall uprights. It’s amazing how different each one was from the other, but also how fine each one was. My friend is going back on her own to make a final selection. It will be a difficult decision for her since she loved them all, but whichever piano she buys, she’ll be doing very well. Based on what we saw at the competition, Faust Harrison has the best pianos and their prices are very fair. If you’re in the market for a piano, you should check out Faust Harrison.

I have been here a number of times and have found the owners to be snobbish and uninviting. I think they do judge customers by clothing and designer labels. Although, without question, I’m not one of those people who would expect a showroom to allow free use of their pianos, I was actively shopping for a grand piano. I was looking for a Steinway in the $ 70,000 range but they kept pushing me towards the cheap pianos and basically denied me access to what I was looking for.(I have friends who are serious pianists who have had similar experiences.) in the end I took my business directly to Steinway(the folks at Steinway Hall who are now in their new location) and had an amazing experience. I made many long visits until I selected the perfect piano. I’m glad I didn’t give my business to Faust Harrison: a bunch of judgemental, unfriendly people. If you’re buying a Steinway, go to the real source: the prices are the same and the Steinway staff and its vast selection make this an easy choice.

They’re moving! The staff there were very professional and accommodating in term of questions. BUT these individuals maybe a little isolated from the reality of average New Yorkers where we want deal on everything. They are not flexible at all on their pricing which in my opinion is ridiculous, because you can get easily get 10−15% cheaper(which is not small change at all!!) on the same made /model across in Jersey or even in LI. I want to support my local NY Business, but these old timers got to adapt more realistic pricing structure to stay competitive instead of hoping for a sucker… Thanks to google. I’m a happy piano owner now.

Didn’t buy a piano when I was here last night. I actually went to a book reading held in the store. The book is a sort of history of one particular piano made by Steinway — the piano owned by Glen Gould — and it follows Gould’s efforts and his tuner’s efforts to keep the piano tuned to Gould’s exact requirements. Well, there probably isn’t a piano purchase in my future anytime soon, but sitting among the gleaming Steinways in this showroom just a block from Carnegie Hall was the perfect locale for the reading. Hopefully, this first review of Faust Harrison will inspire people who have made purchases here to offer a more in-depth review.
