The buffalo slice is the way to go. It is always good and the staff are quick in service. No need to put extra quarters for parking while waiting for the food. They know that people are in a hurry. A good place to come again.

Terrible. So unhelpful and rude. Food was mediocre at best.

I’ve ordered from Sal’s three times now and each time has been an even larger disappointment than the previous. I want to like the food because it arrives quickly and in large quantities but I’ve never once enjoyed my order. The pasta sauces lack flavor and you’re left with a huge heap of spaghetti with tasteless marinara. The chicken parm hero tastes off as well and always comes very dry. Even the tossed salad is off the mark and the lettuce was inedible. I suggest avoiding this restaurant at all costs.

No stars. They rip people off. If you appear drunk in the slightest they will overcharge! So scummy! Do not give these d-bags your business! Pizza is sub par regardless but the service is atrocious!

The Good: Open late. Takes credit card. The Not So Good: Dirty, underpar, expensive pizza.

My super quick slice of $ 3 Sicilian was a smidgen too crusty(tough tasting) and the cheese had that«just eat it it’s drunk food» allure of also being tough/dry. Despite having achieved any level of intoxication, I’m going to say this piece was kind of lacking. The line went fast and I managed to grab the 2nd to last slice of Sicilian when Sal’s was literally 4 slices of pizza(of anything) away from being out. I don’t doubt during waking hours the experience is a little better.

This is the worst pizza I’ve ever had not only in NYC but in my life. I ordered online and waited an hour for the pizza to arrive. When I opened the box, the pizza looked like a curled up piece of bread rather than an actual pizza. The grease was overwhelming for such a thin pizza, making my meal a greasy swarm of bread rather than an actual pizza. There are so many great pizza options here in the city; do not be a sucker and buy«pizza» from this place.

Pros — person who served me was very friendly — slice of pizza was very big and delicious! — service was very fast Cons — pizza was a little oily. I could see small pools of oil on the pizza slice — the place could’ve been a little cleaner

$ 5.50 for two plain slices. Tasted fine, like NY pizza should. Was open late on a Thursday. Not sure why others had such a bad experience.

A cheap and fast pizza joint in the heart of Alphabet City bars and nightlife. This isnt Lucali’s or Patsy’s…its Fat Sals in A City. If you expect something appropriate for the setting you will get it. The standard cheese slice is good and sells fast so its pretty fresh. The other ones dont sell as much so they will be reheated… thats life for a NYC pizzeria that will mostly sell at night. Not the best, but you can do far worse. Also when you’re drunk it tastes incredible if that helps!

Food may be okay, but delivery is a disaster. They quickly delivered half my order, but the speed was probably because they didn’t deliver the other half. It took two phone calls and another HOUR before the entire meal was delivered. With no apology by anyone. Never again.

I passed by a 99 cent pizza place and told myself no, there’s no reason eat at one of those places when there’s a *real* pizza joint so close. I regret not giving the 99 cent pizza a shot. Massive, doughy, limp, un-tasty slice.

Well, this place is what it is. I saw some people complaining about it. It is a cheap pizza place. I really like it and is very near me as well. If you go on the weekends your pizza won’t be reheated but just out of the oven specially if you get the regular cheese slice which is the one that sells the most. People is nice, fast, efficient, good for what it is. My boyfriend and me we always go there. We love Fat Sal’s!

This location is OK. I actually prefer the location in Hells Kitchen. they are by far my favorite and had ordered from the 14th Street location before this one opened and was informed that I need to order from the ABC location due to living on the east side. Their chicken parm is great, but they give entirely way too much pasta. would be nice if there was a better meat to pasta ratio. Their penne alla vodka is not good at all. I have had much better elsewhere. It’s runny and the flavor is lacking. Pasta fagioli is quite yummy. probably my favorite thing to order. I mean this is a place that you order from when you’re too lazy to cook or go out for an actual dinner. It serves its purpose in my eyes.

I ordered the pepperoni Sicilian. Maybe it was the wrong thing to order but it reminded me of the fake tasting pizza that they give you in Chuck.E.Cheese with the processed cheese and very fast food taste. It was way too bready also. I may be spoiled with all the fresh gourmet pizza in my area & being a livelong NYer but I just was not feeling it.

Decent slice and decent garlic knots. While sitting eating my slice I couldn’t help but notice the artwork on the wall. It was a photo of a pizzeria from the 50’s. The sign said 15 cents for a slice. Somehow times have changed, at roughly 20x the price. Still it hits the spot in a pinch.

Am I so wrong to think that a slice of re-heated cheese pizza should not cost over $ 4? The fifth location of Fat Sal’s replaced the recently closed Apizza which I’d been only a desperate late-night patron of on occasion before they closed. I’d actually hoped for an improvement but instead received more of the same. The same disinterested and distracted service, same overpriced mediocre slices and same oddly chairless open space. The outside sign and ventilation system of the restaurant seem to be the only really progress they’ve made. Additionally, I have a strong feeling that the staff marks up the slices after 11pm once they lure in the bar crowd since according the the website whole plain pies are only $ 15.
