Pffffft. I don’t know what’s changed since the last reviews were written. But they definitely do NOT charge«wholesale prices» for dry cleaning. After a bad experience with another local cleaner, I decided to try this place, since I have a mostly dry clean only wardrobe and was running out of things to wear. They charged me $ 9.00 for each dress I brought to them, which is $ 2.00 more than most of the competition. It bothers me more since«wholesale» should mean cheaper. Oh well, at least they take credit cards and get it done within two days. Meh.

They claim they are wholesale dry cleaner which is total BS. They wanted $ 2 to wash dress shirt so where’s the whole sale price, I get them done for$ 1.25 in lower Manhattan.

Well my clothes are clean but the prices seem a bit arbitrary and made up on the spot. I originally went over with a blazer, a wool coat, a down coat and pair of pants. Between the blazer and pants, I paid about $ 8. But for the coats: $ 20 for the wool blend and $ 40(!!) for the ‘down’ coat. Huh? That’s double quadruple the advertised price for a coat. Needless to say, I took both coats with me and the down coat will be in the washing machine and then dryer w/a tennis ball very soon. Otherwise, I would bring smaller items here because the prices were those were relatively reasonable.

I’ve used them for several years and they really get your items clean. Just dropped off 3 winter coats, 5 blazers, and a skirt for $ 42. I have yet to find a cheaper spot that I like. I just put my items in shopping bags and haul them on the crosstown bus. They’re even nice enough to throw the bags away for me.

A little math lesson should teach us all how awesome Fancy Harlem Cleaners is: 9 Sweaters 7 Shirts/Blouses 7 Dresses 6 Skirts 2 Pair of Pants 2 Suits 1 Jacket 1 Coat… and a partridge in a pear tree Total: $ 167…and they’ll have your clothes ready in oh, about 2 days. Brilliant! And they don’t ruin your clothes by shrinking them, staining them, or wearing them to fancy places. Go here, and you’ll no longer live in fear of the«Dry Clean Only» tag! P. S. You will have to pay these fine people up front. No worries, your clothes will be there when you return for them. With love, The Queen of Dry Cleaning(obviously)

The cleaning service is really good and the prices are lower than many other places. i live in Queens and since my church(job) is in Harlem, I take my clothes to this cleaners instead of the one near my home. You have to pay in advance, however, which is not too big of a deal — However, I am one who likes to see the results of something before I pay. Which brings me to the fact that although I will continue to use them for cleaning, I will never, ever take anything else to them to be tailored! I was supposed to get 2 linings replaced in my jackets it took well over 3 weeks PAST the date they originally gave me. One story after the other… and when I finally got the jackets back, one of them had that little puckering near the bottom, where you know the lining is a bit too tight. NOT a happy camper. Never a problem with my garments being cleaned though… But stay away from the tailor.

This place rocks! I think they do all of the work for the other dry cleaners that don’t do their own work, and so they charge almost half of what the other cleaners charge, but you know they’re legit because do their own work. If you’re looking for a bargain, or if you have a lot of clothes you need to clean for the season, it’s worth it to trek up to East Harlem. I just cleaned 25 items for about $ 100(dresses and coats included!). Only drawback is that they’re all the way up in 126st, so you’ll need to drive there.
