Delicious thin crust pizza! Plenty of oil and tasty goodness with a decent variety to choose from. The plain has a flavorful marinara which they can sell by the bottle. Garlic knots were great and made with real garlic. The meat pie was steaming hot and perfect. Not too hard, not soggy, crisp and juicy on the inside.

Came in on a whim after being rerouted multiple times by the NYC subway! –_– Was craving a Sicilian slice badly and omg it’s one of the best slices I’ve ever had. The bottom of the slice was nicely crisped and the top had ooey gooey cheese. Wish it was more convenient to get to for me. Could have been my fav local pizza joint!

Eh pizza. My plain slice needed to be hotter. I should have asked when the guy behind the counter handed it to me. Next time I’ll ask for the cheese to be bubbling – I should have asked. When I entered the pizza place, The guy behind the counter was quick to ask if I would like to order. So, quick service. Pizza was hot, and easy to eat immediately without burning your tongue. I just happen to enjoy it when the cheese is piping hot, AND I WAITFORITTOCOOL A BIT. The tomato sauce on the pizza was not sweet, I like it fresh, sweet. So, this is not my favorite pizza. But maybe you’ll like it. If I give it another try, not sure I might, I will update here. If you like a more savory sauce, this might be the slice for you. See my photos.

I never write reviews on Unilocal! But after eating this amazing«upside down» slice of pizza, I had to give some credit to these guys! It was a slice of heaven! Soft and fluffy but also a little crunchy! I will definitely be going back for more! Kudos

Just ordered a pizza. Was cold and I think it was a left over from the day before. The cashier was not willing to replace and was aggressive. Next to me was a person that was buying pasta and requested olive oil instead of the tomato for his kid. They asked $ 9(75 cents more!). Place looks dirty and restaurant looks bad. Not what it used to be many years ago. Last time that I am there…

Two words… Not good. There are tons of better places to spend your money. Since they got new owners, this place has gone downhill. Sad.

Although the pizza was good the price for it is absolutely atrocious. I got one Sicilian meat lovers pie and one veggie pizza and spent $ 75. $ 75 for 2 pies of pizza is ridiculous. We actually ordered 3 pies and only got 2. Horrible customer service and WAY over priced. Never going back again!

Yuchh. Don’t come here looking for authentic NY pizza. $ 3.25/slice of plain is too much when the crust is weak, sauce flavorless and cheese gross. I get better pizza back home.

I only like their Sicilian. It’s very consistent. The one guy at the counter is an asshole. I don’t understand how the owner has this guy taking orders for people as a rude impatient counter guy. Short stocky Hispanic 5’3″ with some script tattoo on his right wrist and another in the middle of the same arm. I’ve been observing him the whole time I ate my slice and I can see the look of disgust on people’s faces and customers walking out. He might as well say«what the fuck do you want» with his attitude. I’ve worked in the restaurant Biz handling hundreds of people a day(majority tourist), and I was never as rude as this prick. He needs to check himself. Ordering has never been so uncomfortable and awkward. I hope the owner reads this. That guys makes NYC pizza look like assholes

This guy that made the pizza really made my day. I walked in so hungry and probably said it a bit too loud that he heard. I placed my order with my gfs and he offered the fresh mozzarella, pesto slice fresh out the oven. I usually always get a slice with mushroom, so I got that and there were a good amount of mushroom on it. I didn’t just based my stars on this cool and funny guy but the pesto and fresh mozzarella slice ! If he had never gave me one, I’ll probably be too scared to venture in trying something different. And I have to say I really thought this slice was good. I’m not always around the area but when I am, this will be my to go to slice. For my regular slice of mushroom, it came out fast and hot. Yum!

i feel a conflict of interests and duty writing this review — my duty to give it the praise it deserves and my interests in not wanting it to become overcrowded. That being said, my Unilocal following is so minuscule i doubt it will cause much of a ripple. This place does a really good slice. Nothing world-shatteringly good, but out of all the slices i’ve eaten in manhattan(and i’ve eaten a lot) this is certainly a contender for pole position. It’s also appreciably better(IMHO) than the far more popular and renowned prince st pizza — which again does a perfectly ok slice, but nothing to warrant the hoo-ha. The pizza — the crust is as required crisp, yet chewy, and doesn’t crack if you fold the slice. It has one of the best balance of cheese and sauce i’ve had in manhattan. The sauce is what stands out for me — sweet and tangy but not overpowering; the sharpness contrasting wonderfully with the creaminess of the cheese. Look, we’re not talking Heston Blumenthal here… but this is a genuinely tasty slice. ps — not sure what this american fascination is with«Sicilian pizza». Sicilian cuisine is notorious for some amazing dishes… none of which are pizza. Sicilian pizza(sfincione) sucks(i say this as someone of mixed neapolitan/sicilian extraction). If you want pizza go to Naples, if you want caponata/arancini etc… go sicily.

Refused a cup of water with my food when I asked for one. Seriously? I paid for my Sicilian dude, geez! I’ll find another pizza place next time.

I’ve been to Ben’s Pizzas several times getting a quick one or two slices when I’m lazy to cook and grab a few slices on the way home from work. Ben’s is always good, cheesy and the right amount of tomato sauce. Today, I’ve ordered Ben’s through and I wasn’t disappointed. They offer a special where you can order up to 5 toppings. Today’s pizza I got was pipping hot with fresh garlic, basil, pepperoni, onions and green peppers. Delicious

My boyfriend loves this place, but I absolutely hate it! He obviously does not know anything about good pizza. He always tells me, hey it’s pizza right? I mean, why go to a pizza spot that does not make good pizza, when there are thousands of places in the city that can make it ten times better? The customer service is not good either, but remember that we’re in New York people! If you want good pizza, I recommend you going elsewhere.

Great food. Horrible service. The people who work here are uneducated, Morons who can’t get an order correct. Whatever you get is delish, but it’s not what you order. They don’t care about the customer and feel like they don’t «need you». Only go here if you’re ordering a slice. Nothing else. The guy at the front with the long hair and weird hat can’t calculate simple math either. Make sure you check your change

Stop #3 of N & D’s pizza tour: Again, I was slightly … Out of it during my visit but I sure as hell remember how salty a plain slice was. How do you mess up a plain slice?

I much prefer Spring St Pizza, but did enjoy Famous Ben’s Palermo slice for $ 3.25(Cash only unless until $ 10+). This is the original Ben’s, and I’ve been to others that were even less impressive, but this didn’t live up to expectations. Not only did they not(yet) have Crem-O-Lata, but the cashier looked at me like I had 4 heads when I so much as asked.
