Nice place… typical NY pizza joint. Right around the corner from«Wicked”(Gershwin Theater)…perfect for a quick slice before or after the show.

Horrible experience. My coworkers and I ordered wings and 1 pie with everything, were charged about $ 49 after tax and delivery, then after carrying it up to our offices, realized we had been delivered the wrong pizza. When one of our guys called the delivery man and went downstairs to try to see if they had given us the wrong pizza. The delivery guy told him we owed him more money for the correct pizza. I called the store directly to see if they could send our correct pizza and we were told no Bc we already had received a pizza and it didn’t matter that it was the wrong one. Really? We paid $ 49 for wings and a pizza with the works and were given a half cheese/plain pizza and half buffalo chicken. The worker said it was«only a $ 4 difference» and he could credit us for a future visit. I told him I didn’t know if there would be any future business from us and that I would like to speak to a manager Bc we either wanted our money back or for the correct pizza to be delivered. The manager then proceeded to argue with me, started yelling profanities, «Okay you f*cking b*tch! I send you another pie! Give me 10 – 15 minutes.» This all happened in the presence of my other coworkers. I calmly said«thank you» and the manager hung up on me. Our correct pizza finally arrived, but by that point we all jokes that the crazy manager had spit in it or something. :-/So unnecessary and the worst customer service ever. Plus, had we had a male coworker place the call to the manager, would he have been called a «f*cking b*tch» for trying to get the correct order delivered? We won’t be ordering from here again. It was Domino’s for us the following week!

If you want local New York pizza that will blow your pizza brain, visit the guys at Famous Amadeus Pizza! Several blocks uptown from Times Square and Hells Kitchen, this classic small Italian pizza café has a fast food look to it. We were almost put off by the atmosphere when looking in from the outside, especially after having passed so many interesting and nicely designed cafes and bistros in Hell’s Kitchen. But MANN this pizza was fantastic! We ordered slices of the Grandma(fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil, and toasted garlic), Meat Lovers, Veggie(it had broccoli on it, but was crazy good), and some garlic rolls. All I can say is, these guys know how to do pizza flavor. Anyone reading this has had lots and lots of pizza. It takes something special to make this Americanized pseudo Italian, slightly-elevated-above-snack food something special. Famous Amadeus has it. I just wish they were in my city. Famous Amadeus will be a must visit when I return to New York!

Before going to see Wicked at Gershwin Theater, stopped by to grab a bite for lunch. I got Eggplant Parmigiana and my daughter got Margarita Pizza. She absolutely loved hers and gave a five-star review. My Eggplant Parmigiana was not up to par. Three stars is considering my daughter’s pizza.

Excellent pizza. The crust was soft with a crisp bottom. I’d definitely return to try the calzone and pasta. The staff was quick during a busy lunch time but friendly and efficient

This place is rated 4.5 stars? It’s fast and cheap and the slices are big, but pizza is not poetically good. Somehow manages to combine a lukewarm top with an overdry crust. Does the job of filing your stomach when needed and you’re in the area.

Good pepperoni slice. $ 3.55 so NY prices, greasy, saucy and a lot toppings on all their slices, just the way I like it

Good slices, nice variety, fairly priced for the quality by NY standards. Clean restaurant, fountain sodas and friendly people. My fifth slice since coming on vacation, and the best so far…

Decent pizza, a little bit pricy… they are open late though which is a huge bonus for studio life.

Decent Margherita slice, but otherwise, this place isn’t worth it unless, like me, you got stuck in Midtown shuttling around family members from out-of-state. Within minutes of leaving I became a bloated, pained mess whose abdomen had expanded to pregnant proportions. It was on fire, and I could barely walk my Floridian relatives(who thought the place was great!) back to their hotel. Let’s just say tonight was the first night I’ve ever had to stick my fingers down my throat; it was the only way I could get any relief. I’d leave one star, but they did have some articles posted about how Lady Gaga came there once, so I’ll be charitable with two.

This is the one. I’m a native NYer and this is the only place I order a pie from. There’s other places just a notch or 2 behind, but I’m not aware of any better. Classic NYC pizza taste.

For a regular pizza pie to bring home when you are just in the mood for pizza, this is the place to go. The pizza actually has flavor and the staff is always friendly. It’s not a cheap pizza but normal for NYC. Those .99¢ a slice places always need a lot of work at home to get them to taste good. Amadeus is always a pleasure to bring home.
