I walk by this place a fair amount of times on my way to work. Sometimes I assume it’s a clothing store, other times, a coffee shop. When I finally went in this weekend – to my surprise & delight, it’s friggin’ both! Everything in here is cute, functional, and for a pretty penny(a shirt is $ 150?!) but the shopping experience is unique and fun! They gave us complimentary wine(they must know it’s the key to every basic girl’s heart) and we were able to peruse as we pleased without being pestered or rushed. We ended up loving the same pair of Komono sunglasses($ 80 – still cheaper than the shirts), and although the store only had one, they were able to reserve another pair at their other location. Definitely a great, seamless shopping experience! Plus where else has that cool $ 25 a month all you can drink coffee & tea deal?

I stopped in just to see what they sold as far as jewelry, clothes, and things and was impressed by the selection, although I didn’t find anything to take home. I love the combination of the café with the shop and it felt very warm and inviting. I will be back for more.

Small, quaint coffee shop in the SoHo area. Not a ton of seating, but a nice place to spend an afternoon with a mug of coffee or tea and a book. Barista was super cool, and he told me about the unbeatable deal they have, pay a certain amount(I believe it was $ 35 per month) and get unlimited coffee! That is a steal! Had I known that I would have seized upon the opportunity long ago! I look forward to visiting this establishment again when I return to NYC

One of few genuine hangs in Soho/downtown Manhattan. Amazing membership for coffee/drinks and a real neighborhood vibe… hard to find in NYC. 5 stars, check it out!

SUPERCUTE. They have a small coffee counter and several seating areas in three corners of the place. The rest of it is lined with store merch(clothes, jewelry, accessories) which is a bit on the expensive side but it seems to tout itself as a boutique w/boutique prices so that’s to be expected. Coffee was good and the donuts were great — had two, chocolate and hibiscus, from Dough, amazing as always. I inhaled mine and the guy’s. He didn’t have a chance at winning the donut eating game. Try the iced coffee with soy milk. Also, no laptops per Sunday policy. If you really need to use it, Starbucks is across the street, says the barista. Yep, I can see it from the window.

You know I walk by this place nearly every day, and judging by the reviews I will keep walking I think. The sense I get is it’s a business with an identity crisis and a small space so I’m afraid once you descend the awkward step down below sidewalk level you may be stuck. I apologize in advance for not getting the concept and I have heard one decent review just not my cup of joe.

Disappointing and unfriendly. They’ve chased away their best baristas, and a lot of the people that made this place worth visiting. They also jacked up their membership prices and make it difficult to cancel your membership. Recommend avoiding this place.

They open whenever they feel like it, never when the actual hour says(7:00am) are are completely unapologetic. Terrible business practices and attitude for a «neighborhood» place.

Unlimited coffee, tea, lemonade, and espresso for $ 25 a month? Sold. In addition to that, you get a warm welcome by name each visit, additional discounts on in store merch. Did I mention there’s a happy hour? Yeah… go join now. Don’t hesitate. PS — if you join, use my name: Jerika-Tae C. :-)

I am here waaay too often, but that’s probably because I work two doors down. Love all the baristas here, especially Euan, Hal, Will and Ryan. Everyone here is super chill and they create a great environment. You can get a monthly membership that includes unlimited coffee and tea for $ 25 which I totally abuse. It’s a combination coffee house and boutique. It really is one of those unique spots that make New York such a great place to be.

This is the place that gets me through college, through life. There is rarely a time when you walk into somewhere and you just think, this is exactly where I want to be. This place, this place is exactly where I want to be. For 25 $ ONLY you walk away with unlimited coffee and tea and anything else you could ever want in life!!!(You know, if you only want coffee and tea from life). But really, this place has been such a nice community for me to return to. It has given me a place to relax, any time of the day, to read/study, and just a place to breathe within the city. Oh and did I mention that they have 2 for 1 beers and wines every day at night? Game. Set. Match.

Yes, the coffee is $ 4 but it’s actually pretty tasty and the shop itself is beyond adorable. If you are a local, PLEASE join their monthly unlimited coffee membership for me because it’s an absolute steal

This place is my new favorite café in Soho. I work in the neighborhood and always stop in to grab a tea. It’s $ 25 per month for unlimited tea, lemonade, and coffee. Seeing as I usually get 2 teas per visit, I feel like it’s a pretty good deal! The shop itself is very welcoming. They sell various handcrafted goods which fit the aesthetic, and the membership gets you discounts. There are a few seating areas, charging outlets, as well as free wifi for members. My favorite part of Fair Folks has got to be the Folks! The baristas feel more like your friends. It’s great to have a pleasant conversation while waiting for your drink. It’s extremely relaxing, as opposed to the rushed atmosphere found as most Starbucks. I would recommend Fair Folks to anyone looking for a local coffee & tea shop who wants a place to sit back, relax, and find a community. The price is well worth it as long as you come in a few times per week. Looking forward to continuing my membership!

After spending a few years here, along with hundreds and hundreds of dollars, I would recommend not getting invested, involved, or even stepping in and purchasing anything. I have been(was) a member of this place from the beginning, and since then have experienced a full spectrum of experiences with the staff, the shop, and the members. What’s more, is that I am writing expressing many people’s concerns. This place has proven itself to be truly, and solely, money-driven. They treat members poorly, and will try and capitalize on a small sale for newcomers, at the expense of insulting long-time members who have shown commitment and loyalty. Ever since the shop hasn’t been doing well over the past few months — with many members canceling their membership, and many long-time employees quitting — it seems that a form of desperation has poisoned what was a once a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Out of petty spite, they have asked people to leave when they wanted just a cup of water, and even yelled and raised their voice and lost temperament in front of other members. What this all is, aside from poor manners and a poor quality shop, is just very very bad business ethics. Note: coffee is, at best, mediocre and over-priced.

I was told to go here after asking at the Jane for a coffee recommendation. Walking in… I was a little confused. Is this a coffee shop or clothing store? Identity crisis aside I was greeted with a friendly enthusiastic greeting. I was told that the cold brew would be ‘life changing’. I don’t know that it’s life changing but it has been by far the best cold brew I’ve had from a NYC coffee shop. And very reasonable. I can’t recommend this place enough for cold brew.

At $ 25 a month for(basically) unlimited coffee and other beverages, how could you say no? If you live or work in the area, and drink coffee or tea regularly I highly recommend you sign up! My usual go-to is their delicious cold brew or the blood orange iced tea lemonade. They have different iced teas on some days, and most of the time have lemonade on hand to ‘arnold palmer’ it. Just ask the staff what’s on hand — they are usually pretty friendly! The store itself is also super cute. Although they sell a lot of specialty items so it is a bit expensive. They took out the table at this location so there is limited seating, but you can still usually find a spot near the window or the coffee bar.

Pretty cool coffee shop/store. I was slightly surprised at how little seating area they have. The member concept is cool, but if they want it to be worth it at least have some more place for members to hang out there. The coffee was pretty good though.

I have to start this review by stating how utterly surprised I was to not find Zooey Deschanel the Princess of Twee herself standing behind the checkout counter. Never before have I been so struck by a business’s aesthetic as with Fair Folks & a Goat. It isn’t that anything specific stands out or that the store is tackily decorated. While it’s definitely not my own style preference, you can tell the owner had a very clear vision of the story s/he wanted and carried that out without compromise, and I can admire that! I never would have thought to come for coffee as walking past it you’d easily mistake it for just a boutique. But my friend suggested it today after hearing about it from a bunch of his coworkers who apparently do the $ 25 membership for unlimited coffee. Pretty cool idea if you work nearby! That said, I wasn’t impressed by the coffee. It was fine, but nothing special. If you’re looking for an unconventional«coffee house» to work out of, give it a shot.

Great place to shop and sit for a sip of coffee. If you are a student, this place definitely is a great place to study. Very quiet and peaceful. If you want to support small business, then perfect place to do so. My boyfriend and I came here for coffee and study, and we finally found a coffee shop that fits us to study.
