Love this salon! Such a treat to have an army of talented professionals ready to make me look my best! And it’s like the «Cheers» of hair salons-​everyone knows your name and is ready for you with a glass of wine or cappuccino. Super friendly, super talented, I highly recommend Fabio Doti!

I just had my first experience here. I’ve been looking for a good salon close to me and this is a short 10 minute walk from me. It’s not that hard to find although the financial district can get confusing if you’re not familiar.
Fabio cut my hair and he did a great job! I’ve always had a problem with split ends and Fabio got rid of most of them without going too short on the length. I’m happy with my hair cut. He also recommended I use certain hair products, and so far, i’m in love :)
Can’t wait to go in for a trim here soon.

It was an ok haircut. However, I am not satisified enough to ever go back. It has been a few weeks now since I got it cut and to be honest I looked nice when I left the salon, but it never looked nice again. It has no body and I need another haircut already. I also felt the hairstylist was pushing products on me and I felt obligated to try. That alone was disappointing.

Nordia gave me an awesome haircut. She was so friendly and took the time to find out what I wanted she combined that with her own personal touches and obvious experience to create a masterpiece. My hair is now updated and modern and I’m able to regrow at my leisure. The price is steep but worth every penny.

Everyone at the salon is extremely professional, welcoming and highly accommodating to your wishes — whether you want a drastic makeover or a subtle but elegant change. I have been going to see F and G for over two years now and I always leave with a huge smile on my face. Fabio’s long layers are amazing and even after a few months still look just as amazing as the initial cut. Giuseppe is a master with colors. And you get to relax in a massage chair while they shampoo and condition your hair. And they only use Kerastase products, so your locks are in for a spa treatment. Trust me, you will never be disappointed.

Magic. Nordia is so super mellow and engaging. Awesome energy and great vibe at the salon. The customer experience has been thought through in every way. The hair wash seats will conform to you. No need to crane your neck. Superb.

Nordia gave me the best blow out I’ve had in years. My hair is a bit damaged from over processing and too much heat styling and she still managed to give me some bounce and body. I will definitely be coming back.

I LOVE Giuseppe and Ashley. I actually love everyone here but these are my two go-​to people. After changing salons every month, I have been going here since February and now bring both of my kids as well. Ashley is great with kids and a perfectionist. Yes it is more expensive for a kids cut but for the extra $ 20 it is stylish and they get stopped on the street their cuts are so cute! Giuseppe is amazing with color. He is an artist.

Pure disappointment. I was excited to try this place because of the reviews, but I will not be returning. I went in for a basic cut and blow out. As soon as I sat down, the stylist was upselling me to buy a $ 45 conditioning treatment. As they washed my hair, it was repeatedly pulled, to the point I needed to tell her it hurt. Then, the haircut actually took away body from my hair. I left feeling worse about my hair then when I entered.
After my post, the salon reached out quickly to provide solutions. They were apologetic and kind. Due to this customer service, I changed my review from 1 stars to 3.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! I have been coming here for a few years now. Fabio always cuts my hair and I love it! I appreciate the honesty and professional advice and walk out always feeling extremely satisfied!
This time I also had painted highlights done by Guiseppe, the man is a true artist! It has been about 15 years since I added any color/​highlights to my hair and he did a fabulous job. From the beginning consultation to the end process he kept me informed, I guess he could see I was a little nervous! Couldn’t be more happier with my new hair and color!
All in all I had a cut, painted highlights with gloss color treatment, kerastase hydration treatment and beautiful blow dry.
This salon continues to provide exceptional service each time I am here. If you are looking for place in the financial district this is definitely you place. To be honest if I ever moved, I would make the trek back here no matter what. Good hair stylists/​colorists/​artists are hard to find!

I got my hair cut at Fabio Doti over a month ago. Although I have given it time to grow on me or to change my mind, I still am not a fan. When it was styled at the salon I thought it was fine, but as soon as I had washed it myself I was very disappointed. A hairstylist friend aptly described my cut as too many layers that were definitely not cut for my face. At this price point I really expected a better cut. I won’t be going back.

Back again to Fabio Doti Salon and my AMAZING Keratin treatment! The process is quick and easy and is SO worth it, especially with the summer and its humidity coming. As always, the staff at Fabio Doti Salon is warm and welcoming and Fabio is just a pleasure to work with. Its always a treat and nothing is better than leaving a hair salon feeling beautiful!!!

The best salon experience I have ever had! Fabio and Guiseppe are master artists! They understand your hair texture and can create the best cut and color for your face shape/​skin tone. I have had the pleasure of getting my hair done by both Fabio and Guiseppe … I will be a customer for life! I trusted Guiseppe to chop about 12inches of my long hair and come up with a great short cut. It’s fabulous! I get compliments on it all the time!

Exceptional quality and service. Warm and welcoming staff. Runway ready hair time after time. Makes a client feel model time after time. I have been to many hair salons in the downtown area before, but Fabio Doti is by far my most favorite. Fabio (the owner) personally greeted me and made me feel comfortable as soon as I walked in. I was looking to get a hair color, but was not exactly sure what color I was looking for. Fabio and Claudia both sat down with me and asked me bunch of questions. It felt like a nice conversation with my friends. Before I realized, Claudia came back with a photo that suggested the color that would be perfect for my skin tone and the upcoming spring season. I fell in love with the color instantly. I could definitely tell that these guys knew what they were doing and that I was in good hands.
Claudia took an expert approach to my hair. I have never had my highlights done in such a skillful, almost artistic way. After considering my natural hair color, length, and the shape of my face, she basically customized the amount of color she would apply onto each hair strap so it gives me more natural look. Both Claudia and Ashley (who washed my hair and gave it a blow dry) were very professional and extremely knowledgeable about different hair treatments, and pretty much anything I asked them about. Fabio kept stopping by and chatted with me during my treatments. Everyone in the salon was just very friendly, personable. They all gave me recommendations on how to treat my hair at home to keep it healthy and beautiful. I especially enjoyed these young people around me and felt truly cared for. I cannot begin to express my love for this salon. Today was my first time in a hair salon in YEARS due to so many bad experiences.
I was pleasantly greeted by the front desk and then offered a beautiful cappuccino (must try, really delicious).
After reading Unilocal reviews on Guiseppe, I decided to book a color appointment with him for a balage. THIS MAN IS EXTREMELY TALENTED! Wow. What a first impression. Professional, extremely experienced, you can tell this all comes naturally to him. He is so personable and sweet too! He took his time talking with me and somehow knew exactly what I wanted and what would work best for my current hair color (I’ve box dyed my hair to black for years) and skin tone too! It’s not often that a colorist will evaluate your skin tone and choose a color based on that. I would travel across the country to have him do my color again.
My cut was done by Fabio. The owner of the salon. I was blown away by his talent. I can say that I have NEVER ONCE had a haircut that I’ve loved until he touched my hair. Wow again. He constantly checked on me while my color was processing to chit chat with me and make me feel comfortable since I was there for about 4 hours. His technique is amazing. I have very long hair that I am protective of and its very dry. He didn’t pressure me to cut it short or do anything drastic but instead he listed reasons why I would benefit from removing the damaged ends. Absolutely blown away by his talent.
The Fabio Doti salon is very expensive. But please realize, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! Everything done today for me came to approximately $ 600 ($ 300 balage, $ 140 cut, plus tipping everyone and taxes). It sounds ridiculous for someone who doesn’t do the salon thing often. However, this was some of the best money I’ve ever spent.

Fabio Doti is my go-​to place for blowouts in the Financial District! Everyone at Fabio Doti is extremely nice and I’ve had great experiences getting my hair styled by Elena and Nordia. I had been searching for years for a good place to get blowouts near Wall Street and stumbled upon Fabio Doti by chance about 6 months ago. Needless to say, I haven’t been to another salon since! They also have a great 3-​pack blow dry option that is a great deal.
I highly recommend this salon!

Okay, I imagine you’ve probably been obsessively reading salon reviews for an hour now trying to pick a place to make an appointment. I’m here to save you. Stop reading and call Fabio now! You can thank me later.
I found Fabio 3 years ago and he’s the only stylist I’ve seen since then. Fabio is meticulous and serious about his craft, but aside from being extremely talented, he’s also just a wonderful person — warm, funny, and honest. I’m an Asian female with very long hair but I would also highly recommend Fabio to the men out there looking for a style upgrade. The salon space is comfortable and the staff is so fun and welcoming. The washing stations even have massage chairs! I’ve also recently started coloring my hair with Giuseppe who is incredibly talented. If you check out his website (

I came here the day of my wedding to get an up-​do. I called to confirm the appointment time the day before and they had a different time for me (an hour behind). After explaining my wedding situation, they were able to accommodated me.
The studio itself is very nice and clean and they have a little bar-​nook where they offer guests drinks (wine, water, coffee, etc.). the outcome of my hair was fantastic! I was very happy with the updo and got a lot of complements. Although I asked for an updo and mentioned I may need a trim, when it came time to pay, I was charged around $ 45 for some hair treatment which I did not ask for or was not told about, and a full haircut, along with the updo. The price took me back a little, but I had no other option but to pay as I had my wedding to go to. I called them a few weeks later, and they were very understanding to my situation and gave me a complementary hair cut which I was also very happy with.
I give 3 starts is for a few communication hiccups which was worked out, and I give 5 stars for the up-​do and cut; Therefore overall 4 stars for a salon I recommend.
