EZ Pawn Corp

Rude, this is the only word I can think of when describing the staff at this company, I went in with a simple question and the woman at the front desk sat there and rolled her eyes like she was to good for my service, she treated me like I was stupid and a child. I don’t recommend using there services at all.

A newbie to pawn shops, I first tried the stores in west midtown Manhattan. Here, various shady-​looking men attempted to grab my hand and physically pull me into their shops. After avoiding several of them, I finally went willingly into one store, only to be taken to a secluded room where a man very clearly wanted to take my diamond and ruby necklace from me, not work out a pawn. When I told him that I was not comfortable making a deal with him, he held onto my necklace a REALLY LONG TIME before FINALLY putting it back into my outstretched hand. I left as quickly as my feet would take me.
Then I tried EZ Pawn on W. 14^th St. True to its name, there was nothing sketchy or scary about the experience. They offered an amount, gave me the cash, and when I was able to repay the money, gave me my necklace back without any issue. I came back to pawn an emerald and diamond bracelet and had the same positive results. I will definitely return to EZ Pawn if I ever need to pawn again :-)

I had never been in a pawn shop before this one but all of my expectations were exceeded by these guys! The staff who greets you is REALLY NICE. Which was kind of unexpected and a great surprise.
I went in to pawn a small gold bracelet. Went in, the staff greets me and asked if I need help, I go to the man behind the window and slide the bracelet under the window, he takes a look at it, determines what kind of gold it is and how much it weighs, gives me an estimate, writes up a receipt, slides me the cash and WA-​LAH I’m in and out in 10 mins!

Love this place! There were two people there today, mike and Theresa they helped me with a very great payment plan to get my piece back. Also gave me too dollar for my item!

The workers were very helpful. After having a horrible experience at a shop a block away that was clearly trying to jip me; i came here and was relieved that the store met my asking price.
I will definitely come back.

Walked past one day to find an older model MacBook Pro in the window. I needed a computer an inquired within. This being my first time at a pawn shop I was unaware of the policies. I was told that all the computer needed was a charger & battery; easy enough. I put the machine on layaway.
I ended up having to leave NY on an emergency. I was told I would only receive store credit on what I’d paid so I paid the bill off and left w/​the machine. Due to other circumstances I took my time getting the parts. Finally did and after a month of use the machine shut down. The logic board had died. I was beside myself. Still I pressed on and sent it to be repaired.
Now I find a host of other problems and the machine is not worth the trouble. I called the store today to let them know of my displeasure. Basically I gambled w/​my $ 500. I’m pissed and will not return to this shop or any other pawn shop for any type of products.
