Oh baby, where have you been all my life! This store is right on 7th Ave by Penn station on the second floor. I see a dude handing out cards for the store and I’ve always wanted to try eyebrow threading. For as long as I remember, I’ve always had my eyebrows done with hot wax. Like in medieval times, ladies would pour hot wax on their faces, lips, chins and cooch to get off any unsightly and random hairs. Along comes our neighbors to our south and they come up with a system. No burning hot wax. Just some dental floss! I walk upstairs to the second floor. There are a few ladies waiting to get mani/pedis, I want only a threading so I can stop looking like Burt from Sesame Street! My girl asked me with both my hands to hold my eyes? I hear her swishing like a Ninja on me! I don’t know about you but I want to sneeze! After about 10 minutes of this process, I look in the mirror. No redness from hot wax and I changed back into Billy Salts, no more Sesame street folks for me! Total price — 10 bucks. Ask for a punch card. After 6 visits you get a free one! (And save the hot wax for birthday cake)

I got my eyebrows threaded for the first time in my life at this salon. I have very bushy brows, and it was not nearly as painful as I anticipated. The indian woman who did it told me not to worry, that she is a professional and that this is her job. She was right– they look better then if I had waxed, natural yet shaped perfectly. It was $ 6.00 and I got a card for my 7th time free. :-) I just wanted to update this, since it’s been about a month since I had my eyebrows threaded. I can tell it’s time to go again, but they grew in perfectly. Really, they look great, but I would just prefer to have them thinner again.
