I like their steel cut oatmeal so much. It tastes way better than it looks :(:)) Also I love its atmosphere with cute & modern deco! I can tell that they maintain the store really neat and clean.

I am so thrilled that Exki is now in NYC! I’ve stopped by to pick up lunch at least 4 times in the last two weeks and everything has been delicious. I highly recommend their lentil soup, as well as their white bean + kale soup. Their shrimp cauliflower salad is also fantastic. So glad that I don’t have to fly to Paris to enjoy Exki. I hope they add more locations throughout the city.

Really like this place for a quick lunch on Park Ave. While you might be hesitant bc 75% of the food is pre-packaged and displayed on a shelf(not unlike airport eats) the food is quality and shouldn’t be compared to the day old tuna found on other shelves around NYC. That being said, you’re paying more for it. A salad with chicken, club soda and a(rather large) bowl of black bean soup ran just under $ 20. There is a warm food section filled with a few soups, sammies and sides, which makes for a nice overall meal selection. Seating inside is ample, but(like most places in the area) crowded at peak lunch hours. For a quick meal in the area, you can’t beat it here at EXKi. Do it.

I wish that I had known about EXKi’s existence earlier! I’m always looking for a spot by my office to grab a fresh and healthy lunch(that doesn’t get as crowded as Essen) and it’s good to know that I can rely on EXKi for many future meals. All of the food here is pre-made and is neatly packaged and presented. There is a large case of cold options– everything from wraps to salads to cold noodle bowls. Most salad and sandwich choices come in half and full size, which is perfect if you want to sample a couple of items. There is also a hot section with sandwiches, pizzas, entrees and soups. Full sandwiches and salads were around 10 bucks and a half size was about 6. I went with a cold bowl of sorts that had grilled chicken, penne, kale and tomato in a vinaigrette sauce. It was super fresh and delicious and was definitely the perfect lunch portion. Because of all the prepackaged options, most people probably grab and go. We ended up eating in the restaurant and they’ve actually got a spacious section of comfy seats. Whether I eat in or take out, I’m sure I’ll be back soon to try some more yummy salads and sandwiches!

I absolutely love Exki!!! If like me you have been looking for a cosy place for years to have a healthy breakfast or lunch, don’t look further! Exki is for you! The staff is super nice. The mezzanine is cosy and relaxing. The food is delicious, fresh and authentic, made with local food. Did I mention that prices are so reasonable?

Exki is hard to pronounce but easy to love. The décor is warm, the seating feels like you’re in a country home in France, the staff is really wonderful, the food is excellent. .both in flavor and the organic ingredients they use. I’m a huge fan of this quiet place to get food that tastes homemade in this bustling part of town.

A tasty and affordable healthy spot! Majority of their items are pre-made and stored in their refrigerator for a convenient grab and go lunch. I had a small Tomato Smokey Tofu Bisque soup. It was very tasty! Super rich and smooth! It’s great that you can sample all the soups before you make your purchase. Their sizes are also relatively big(especially if you compare it to those of hale and hearty)…probably about 12 oz for a small and 16 oz for a large. Definitely worth your money. I haven’t tried their sandwiches or salad, but they look just as sumptuous. They have a wide range of protein options from seafood to meat, so you’ll never really get bored eating healthy at EXKI!

I came here to grab a quick to go lunch. On the recommendation of one of the rep, I tried the the vegetarian sandwich with edamame hummus. The sandwich is a joke, they charged me 7.57 with tax, but all the was there in the sandwich was tasteless hummus, a layer of spinach leaf and multiple layers of cheese. I would not pay a $ 1 also for that. Waste of my money.

I tried this place because of the healthy organic food. When I came in, it was a bit confusing because there wasn’t that much food out. A few food items were under the heat lamps. It didn’t seem particularly super healthy to me. a bit greasy.

Here goes my 200th review! Unilocal,it’s been a good run. I’ll just… keep Unilocaling So excited to find Exki as I had such an amazing experience at Exki in Paris. Food there was soo fresh and there were easily 100 options from soups, to fresh salad, quiches, and desserts. So I walked into this Exki with high expectations… while and with anxiety too, hoping this one won’t let me down… Well, all the items are still very healthy AND delicious-looking. We had the soup and the healthy take on a lasagna in a box. However, I was let down by the food options. Especially the lack of creative salad and healthier, fruit-based desserts… So a blended rate of 4 stars. Bön Apetit

When it comes to the the food made at EXKI there is just one word to describe it, «Exquisite». Everything I have eaten their has been absolutely delicious. Now that they will be open on Madison Ave. I will be able to enjoy their offerings allot more. The staff is exceptionally friendly and make you feel so welcome, friends for life. I can only wish them continued success as they open their second location in NYC. You should make the effort to try to stop in for breakfast or lunch, I do every time I am in the Flatiron section of NYC. One last thing, try their soups they are out of this world delicious and I often find myself having 2 small cups of each instead of a bowl of one. Call me crazy but they are that good.

They did fix the air so it’s more comfortable, the wifi is good, so sometimes can be lovely though the big table upstairs seems to be where business people like to have lunch meetings and talk loudly about business. I’d like to tell them to get an office. It’s hit or miss really. Sometimes it’s quiet and lovely. But two out of the past 3 times I’ve gone there are loud talking business meetings going on. I leave the office for lunch to get away from work, not listen to people bark business across the table loudly trying to sell their crap with their loud nasaly business-woman tone. The prices for some of the things can be pretty ridiculous too. Like $ 4.50 for like 6 ounces of sliced fruit. $ 6.00 for yogurt, $ 6.00 for oatmeal.

Freshest and cleanest deli-like stop in Flatiron. I was browsing for tasty dinner eats near the office and I came across EXKi, which has surprisingly high reviews for what it’s classified as on Unilocal.I quickly checked out their menu and everything sounded fresh, tasty, and was surprisingly affordable! I thought there must be something wrong with the place, but I figured it warranted a trip regardless. The interior is so open and clean cut. I was welcomed by everyone with a friendly smile and greeting. I had a hard time figuring out what I wanted, so one of the counter people(he was dressed more nicely, so he must’ve been in management) helped me out. After the presentation of «light but filling» options, I went with the broccoli and shrimp cocette. I wished I grabbed the meal to stay as I’m pretty sure they serve the dish in the cute little skillet it’s stored in. While I waited, I went to their holiday photobooth, snapped a few pics, and got a free coffee/tea voucher. About five minutes after ordering, the dish was ready to go. In terms of flavor and quality, EXKi does an amazing job. The jasmine rice was fluffy and fresh-tasting(thanks, cilantro). The shrimp was cooked perfectly, tender and a hint of salt. The red pepper purée was so tasty, added a creaminess without milk, and really brought the basics together. My only complaint is the size. It was tiny. I would need at least two of those bowls plus a small side to make it into a full dinner. If I’m looking for a light snack in between meals or a late night pick-me-up from the office, EXKi will be my first stop.

Currently sitting in EXKi, first time here. I can say already, this is my new favorite business in the area. The staff are some of the sweetest people you will ever meet. It’s a little pricey, I paid $ 4.50 for a hot cider, but it was a large portion, and damn if it wasn’t excellent cider! And for organic products, those prices are totally reasonable. It’s also beautiful and cozy in the back. Love it. Will probably be back tomorrow.

Learned about this place when in Antwerp and would eat here every day. I was really happy to see Exki open up here in NYC. Food is fresh, organic and tasty. I really like their desserts – I wish they would have more soon, especially the cheesecake! I hope more open up soon.

When I heard about Exki opening in my work area, I was super excited. It’s somewhere new to get salads and other healthy food options(and because it’s new, there probably wouldn’t be that ridiculous lunch line some other places in the neighborhood are known for). Plus, I had missed all of the soft opening previews that I’d been invited to(due to work), so I’d been dying to go for a while. And so far, I’ve been pretty impressed. I walked inside to be greeted by a friendly employee & free smoothie samples(always a win). Then, I grab a tray and start browsing. Some of my thoughts while browsing: — There are cups of fruit with liquid in them — are those fruit cups with juice in them? Or are they just prepared about-to-be-blended smoothies?(Turned out to be the latter, which I didn’t realize until the friendly employee offered to get it blended while I browsed the food options, so it’d be ready by the time I wanted to check out.) — I like that there are drink options available near all the food, so I don’t have to go to the other side just to get a drink after I choose my entrée. Super convenient.* — Why does everything look so good? Do I want an entrée salad or two mini salads so I can try more things? Why did I not bring a friend so we could buy more things? — Why are these tart slices so expensive? These sandwiches are also a bit small for their prices…(Maybe I’m just frugal.) — I really want a dessert, but spending $ 20 on lunch might be a bit excessive. — What exactly is a caesar emulsion? Or a tumeric curry emulsion? What exactly is an emulsion? I’m confused as to what this has to do with food.** — I thought a jumper was a sweater? Or a romper? What exactly is a strawberry jumper?*** I ended up getting the«Pure Kitchen» salad — Couscous, Shrimp, Turmeric Curry Emulsion, Cherry Tomatoes, Organic Mesclun($ 12). It was delicious and I finished it in 10 minutes. And was still a bit hungry after(maybe because I scarfed it down, like a hungry bear). Next time, I’m going to try two of the duo salads just to be able to try more places. I also got the Passion Tea dairy-free smoothie: Strawberries, Green Tea, Cane Sugar, Mint. I only tasted strawberries — none of that mint or green tea flavor came out. Basically tasted like semi-diluted strawberry juice. Overall, I liked the food & my experience here. Will definitely come back to try some of the other offerings. *I’m lazy. A few extra steps is a few extra steps too many. Especially when I’m hungry. **According to the dictionary, an emulsion is «a fine dispersion of minute droplets of one liquid in another in which it is not soluble or miscible; a fine dispersion of one liquid or pureed food substance in another.» You learn something new everyday. ***It turned out to be a parfait. Which now makes sense because I’m actually reading the menu. Why would you rename parfaits?!
