I wanted to share my experience, as I was very pleased. I needed(at the last minute) a portable WiFi hotspot to take with me on a trip, where I knew there would be no internet connectivity. I live in NYC, and found Event Radio Rentals. I emailed their customer service on a Sunday evening, to ask if it would be possible to pick it up in person early that week, and they got back to me right away! She gave me the instructions for ordering it online with pick-up, and was very nice. On the return trip, I realized I wouldn’t be able to get it back in time for the noon return deadline on the slip, so I emailed again asking it if was alright to bring it in a little later, and said by closing time was fine. I was able to get connected on my trip, and do the work I needed to get done. I imagine it’s even more convenient if you have time to use the mail-order service. They do have a 7-day minimum rental period, so better for longer trips. But per-day they are cheaper than many other similar services, and very convenient if you live not far from Manhattan.

Didn’t feel like they wanted my business. I was trying to get pricing for radio rentals for a non-profit out in California. She wasn’t even willing to budge. Yes, I may have received cheaper pricing elsewhere that they didn’t want to match(I didn’t even ask them to match it)…but come on… it would have been nice to at least get some type of negotiation versus saying«no» outright. I didn’t expect them to match… because obviously you get what you pay for, which is why we’re looking elsewhere. *shakes head*
