I like coming here before heading to jersey sometimes. It’s very close to Penn and the Garden. It’s on the second floor of the hotel. It’s one of the more private bars around that area because you have to know where it is to get there. The staff is friendly and it kinda have this old style/classy home environment. Great place to bring a date.

such a hidden jewel, cute speakeasy features some cute artwork and piano. playlist is closer to jazz, table settings are good for business talks. there are also two couches good for cuddling lately there’s some renovation going on, yet still rather peaceful inside.

Great ambiance, middle of the road wine… similar to a chain restaurant. Some of its drinkable some of its not. Will be back for beer and atmosphere

What an absolute gem in Ktown! I swung by at 6 for pre-dinner drinks and was quite blown away by the fact that there is such a cozy, hidden(almost speakeasy), and classy wine bar in the always bustling Ktown. The menu is quiet extensive — beers, wines, and wine cocktails. I opted for the Garden of Eden($ 13) — a combo of St. Germaine and champagne. If you’re fan of sweet drinks, this is definitely a great choice. Personally, I think this drink is more suitable for a girly Sunday brunch setting, and I tasted more champagne than St. Germaine, so next time I will probably just opt for a wine.

Can’t really say how the place operates during busy nights we were there off hours. Working in the area for 3 years and never seen that place before. Looks so cute and chic inside totally a to go spot for date night

Cheapest happy hour you can find near penn station -$ 5 a glass 6−8pm. Great stop for commuters. And the wine was delicious!

I love this place. It’s such a chill wine bar with a nice happy hour and delicious waffle dessert yummmm. I also really like the vibe at the place perfect bar to go to when you’re trying to escape electronic music in ktown or hardcore K pop beats. There’s a piano but I don’t think anyone plays it ever.

I was there last night. Wines by the glass: passable. Cheese plate: paltry. I asked if the Gouda cheese was aged, the server replied yes, then they served me the supermarket Gouda with crackers, no bread. Atmosphere: very nice. They need to up their game and offer wine flights, and tastier wines by the glass, with better cheese to accompany, if they want to continue to call themselves a wine bar in Manhattan.

Was introduced to this place by a fellow Unilocaler and I can honestly say this is the best lounge in k-town and a hidden gem tucked within the hard drinking and obnoxiously loud music enclave of k-town. Located at the second floor of the hotel stanford this place is truly as hidden and tucked away as it gets, with an incredibly beautiful and sophisticated interior, and a bevy of wines and liquors to choose from, this place is one of the more classy establishments located in the heart of k-town. Although the food could use some work, the atmosphere and ambiance that this place offers is top notch. If you’re looking for a less douchey setting than your typical k-town bar, this place is definitely a place to look into.

Totally into this spot, great happy hour price on wine. Ordered the cheese plate and the garlic bread, everything was really delicious. The sexy piano in the corner sets the ambiance, awesome setting for a date or just a spot to chit chat with the ladies. Nice choice of a few seating options; couches, tables with chairs, stools at the bar, or one large communal table. The lychee-tini on the cocktail menu is also tasty but not part of the happy hour. I will definitely be back.

Came here at around 11:30pm on a Saturday night after bailing on a terrible party. It wasn’t packed but wasn’t dead either, dimly lit and funky. We had chocolate martinis cause we’re fancy like that and they were good. The food menu looked good tho a bit pricey(it’s in a hotel, though, so I guess that’s to be expected). I also saw that they have garlic bread with chocolate… not sure what that’s about!

Awesome place for HH. Intimate setting. Located inside Stanton Hotel. The only negative I would say, either they have a Korean restaurant nearby or they are cooking it in the wine lounge… but I kept getting a waft of this smell of meat that was not pleasant. They have an amazing wine selection and the mix and match cheese, meat plate is wonderful! Service is awesome as well, there are plenty of waitresses and servers that will tend to your needs!

I came to this bar with a friend to get a quick drink before he took his train at penn station to leave the city… And it’s a nice low key bar with dim lights and a small crowd. We went during happy hour which had a menu of cheeses that were good. You could choose from Brie, Manchego, etc and a glass of wine for two people all for $ 30. The bar is located inside the hotel — and it’s design and ambiance has nothing to do with the hotels style so don’t let it defer you from going in.

Cozy under-the-radar spot to have a glass of wine in at atmosphere conducive to catching up with an old friend or heading on a first date. It’s a quiet, little room tucked away on the second floor of the Stanford Hotel, and I almost didn’t write this review because I’m hoping it will stay that way. est. 1986 Wine Bar/Lounge doesn’t seem to fit in to its K-Town surroundings, but I could care less.

We came here after Cloud Social since it was highly rated. Second floor of the hotel, take the stairs. Its a quiet warm room tucked away in Ktown. I’ve been here before for sure. A chill romantic wine bar. The double chocolate martini promises to deliver. It’s good enough that everyone will want a taste. We didn’t stay long, but the service was nice and attentive. The menu gave me a few ideas to try out before winter.

This little lounge is tucked away on the 2nd floor of Hotel Stanford, and perhaps for that reason, the clientele is noticeable less Korean than other hotspots along the K-town strip. I met up with a friend who managed to snag a table by the window but alas, scaffolding obstructed any view we may or may not have been able to enjoy. The place itself was everything you’d expect when you hear«wine bar»: Dimly lit, intimate ambiance, sleek décor(minus for the odd cartoon art) with a piano and fireplace. Despite these mood-setting staples, I wasn’t quite as awed by the place as everyone else seems to be but it’s still a nice escape from the typical bar/lounge scene in the area. With 50% of select drinks during happy hour, the place fills up quickly on a Friday evening, and by «fill up», I mean most tables are taken but there’s still plenty of standing room.

Super cute date night spot! Love the fact that there is this little hidden gem tucked away in the hustle and bustle of Midtown and K-Town. It is the second floor of the Hotel Stanford. You walk in only to be regaled by dim lighting(the prereq for any classic date night spot), piano in the corner, sofas and cushioned seating, and a fireplace. The décor is fantastic! Best part is that since most of New York hasn’t heard of it, this place is usually not packed *shuush don’t let the secret out* and getting a table is not too bad. Two things I hate about bars when I’m on a date is 1. Not being able to hear my date because it’s too damn loud in the bar 2. Server /waitress /bartender not coming around in time for us to order This place does NOT do either! They are perfect about attending to everyone’s needs. They stop by every so often to take our order and it is not overbearingly loud in hear that you have to yell to for your date to hear you. Lastly, they have pretty affordable drinks(for Manhattan) so the guy will leave with something left in his wallet. Drinks to order — Lychee Martini or the Aloe Martini. They both are equally delicious and refreshing without being overly sweet.

Where have I been? How did I not know about this very cool bar in the middle of Herald Square. It’s the type of place you see in movies depicting the NYC social scene. Quirky art work on the walls, a fireplace, a large communal table with chic lighting and of course soothing, ambient tunes playing in the background. Quality wine at happy hour prices is a plus. est 1986 is my new fav bar hands down. I really enjoyed their Rosa Regale sparkling red and their Kuhl Reisling. I will definitely be back!

Cute little lounge I found thanks to the Unilocalers. Upon entering we had the option to sit at the fireplace or bar. We opted for the bar. Hubby and I ordered 1 glass of wine each as well as the Chocolate Waffle. OMG that waffle was incredible. It was(obviously) a waffle topped with bananas and strawberries drizzled with chocolate with a cup of chocolate in the middle. D-E-Lish! My only gripe was it felt like they had the heat blasting on a 65 degree night. It was very uncomfortable.

Came here on a Monday night so i’m not sure how it gets on the weekends. My friends and I walked into an almost empty room but the ambiance was nice — wooden bookshelves, comfortable lounge sofas, and a piano in the corner. It was lit moodily so I would definitely come back here for a date. There were also some hilarious posters on the wall(i.e «I bring nothing to the table» under a drawing of an empty table). Out of place… but not a bad thing! My 3 friends and I ordered a bottle of wine to share and a 5-piece cheese plate($ 21). We got to select amongst different types of cheese and meat and got a small cheeseboard back with a few pieces each of strawberry, grapes, crackers, blueberries, jelly, and walnut brittle. This is an after dinner kinda plate, meant for nibbling and experimenting with different cheeses. Everyone enjoyed the Gruyer the best(salty, garlicky) and you really can’t go wrong with Brie and fruit. Would probably order two servings of Brie next time.
