They still have the Enduro sign outside but it is now called BV Grill. This place has such potential because it is very spacious inside and they have lots of outdoor seating as well. What brings it down is it lack of service and the quality of the food. Here are some examples: Lady bartender didn’t seem to care to be there. Hostess was the same way. Mostly on her phone. Had dinner on a Friday night. Place was empty inside. Being seated with no one in the place. It took 15 minutes to get a menu. Tried the filet mignon medium rare. Comes out burnt. Seriously how to do burn something that was ordered medium rare.

What a treat in the Midtown. Came here during the week with my friend and was happily surprised with the good food and great service. We luckily sat outside and enjoyed the nice weather. It seemed that our server was new or busy and it took a little to get our order in and bring over drinks but he was very nice and gracious. The food? Pretty standard but solid. I had the linguini and clams, great taste and a nice portion size. I upped the rating to 4 star because the manager on duty was awesome. He seated us quickly, checked on us multiple times and thanked us for coming in.

The standard NYC steakhouse, great steak! But amazing service! Everyone, from the hostess to the waiters to the managers, are so friendly and insisting on making your experience the best. The ambiance is very private, yet comfortable – the outdoor seating is spacious & doesn’t have walking traffic(pedestrians) bothering you because of the separation from the sidewalk. The steak sandwich was cooked to perfection, and although the portions appear small, the dishes are still filling! Ps. The manager(or owner) noticed I was with my family for a graduation lunch, and gave the table complimentary desserts :) you don’t see this level of caring these days in many restaurants!

I am giving it four stars, but that is being extremely generous. When I go out for a meal, one of the most important parts of the meal and the one I most look forward to is dessert. In particular, I wanted to try just about all of their desserts as they sounded so good. I was even hoping they would have a dessert sampler just so I could do so. Unfortunately, they do not have a dessert sampler that I know of, but more important, we did not have time for dessert. That goes to the heart of the problems we encountered here. We arrived for a late lunch and this large, modern and attractive dining room was almost empty. No problem with that. In fact, I would then expect good service as there was no one else to serve. Well, that was not the case. The service was friendly, but things just did not work out. I ordered a burger rare to medium rare with grilled onions and french fries. Not too difficult? Well after some wait, it came, but the burger had ketchup and mustard(or something like that). Now, this is not McDonald’s. I do not expect condiments to be put on my bun at a good restaurant, in particular when it was not set forth on the menu. Of course I sent it back. In the interim, I started to eat the french fries which were good, but lukewarm. They probably had been sitting around. This should not be the case. Well, soon after the burger comes back and it is medium. Not sure what it was before as I had sent it back without eating. My guess is it was the same burger from before, with a new bun. If I want a medium burger, I could have gone to McDonald’s. Anyway, as I remember, could not find the waiter in this large, empty room, but the nearby hostess was very helpful and got him(as she, in fact did a number of times). He was very pleasant and said he would get me a new burger and volunteered fresh french fries, which I am glad he did. After some wait, a new burger appears and it was actually a bit too rare, but that is much better than medium and it was really good. Would definitely come back for one. The french fries, which obviously were fresh this time, were very good. Well after all this time sending things back, there was no time to try even one dessert, much less a wished for sampler as we had to go. This place obviously has good food(or at least burgers) but they must focus on quality control. I would have given Enduro three stars, but the staff was so pleasant(in spite of the difficulty in finding the waiter at time) that I will give it a provisional four. I hope to get back some time soon to validate my judgment and to, hopefully, try some desserts. Maybe a sampler…

This place was really beautiful to look at, as was the hostess. It’s a shame the food didn’t taste as beautiful as the décor. The Service: Good; our server was attentive without being pesky. The Food: –Deviled Egg with crab meat and chives (This did not taste like crab, it tasted like Chicken of the Sea. I thought I was turning into Jessica Simpson for a minute. They mixed the«crab meat» in with the yolk-filling; not smart. What I was expecting was a traditional deviled egg with pieces/chunks/strands of crab meat heaped atop the yolk-filling; much smarter.) –Burger cheddar, grilled onion and french fries (This burger was nothing special; my meat was kinda under-done even though I asked for medium-well and the french fries were not super flavorful or memorable) –Rotisserie Chicken with roasted root vegetables (This was just OK but nothing to write home about) In spite of the previous underwhelming dishes, I will return to try their crab cake and their cheesecake ice cream #RedemptionMeal

We’ve tried Enduro three times now. I’m a little concerned, as each time there were fewer people there than the restaurant deserves, Granted, once it was snowing out and another time it was raining. The place is kind of back off of 3rd ave on 56th street, making it not entirely obvious to people passing by. Maybe that’s part of it. Inside, however, it’s a beautifully renovated open space that’s not casual, but not dressy or over the top fancy. There is a great open bar, an open kitchen and a mix of dark comfortable tables and booths, and exposed brick walls. Mix in some modern touches like glass wine rack systems, and you get the idea. The food is largely terrific. Salads are fresh, original and dressed with a light touch. Brunch and lunch are very good. They have excellent house made biscuits, great bacon, fresh eggs and a lot of classic dishes with a twist on them. The burger is very good as well. We haven’t tried the dinner menu yet or anything from the rotisserie, but we intend to keep coming back.

I came here for lunch with Val G. and we both did the ½ and ½ lunch. The online menu is a little misleading because I thought we could pick any half sandwich, salad or soup. It is actually a different selection than the menu offerings. The soup I got(a creamy cauliflower) was suppperrr salty. It was a little hard to drink. The half sandwich I ordered was just okay, nothing memorable. The service was very attentive and our cocktails were pretty strong, but i didn’t think the food was worth $ 18, especially because it is such a small sampling of their menu and I don’t feel is on par with the rest of their offerings. The décor is gorgeous though! I actually have been here when it was Outback and the difference is staggering!

Went there for Brunch with my gf. Place is absolutely gorgeous! Brunch menu is great, they have everything omelets and salads to sandwiches and large entrees. We had scallops as an appetizer, they were phenomenal by far the best ones I’ve ever had. My gf had a lobster and crab salad and it was also fantastic. I had the steak, unfortunately is wasn’t the greatest… not sure what happened there…(I wish I could deduct ½ star for this) We had a Bloody Mary and some other brunch cocktails. They were all amazing, bloody marry being being the best. Service was great. Girl who served us was really friendly as well as knowledgable. I guess the place is a little bit on the expensive side, but that’s to be expected from a place like this.

Not sure if the Enduro To Go staff knows what a «small coffee with no room» means, there was definitely a lot of room. On the plus side, their muffins are great and are ½ off after 3pm. The actual restaurant itself is your standard quality midtown east restaurant that’s about 20% pricier than you’d expect it to be but you pay for the safe bet that the food is actually decent. The friendly staff and open space is pretty inviting too!

My girlfriend and I went for the Valentine’s Chef Tasting menu. Every course was incredible, and the portions perfect! I am used to many of the New American restaurants being quite conservative with portion sizing. Not the case at Enduro. In addition to this — our service was incredible. Did not remember her name, but a blonde girl who was insanely well educated on the food and about the nicest waitress I’ve had in a long long time. Highly recommended!

We went to the place for a post-Valentine(to avoid the crowd) Day with a Gilt City coupon and it’s definitely a worthy experience! We got the Kampachi snack, King crab appetizer, and the grilled lobster and steak for entrée. I have to say the chef knows how to cook seafood! All of the seafood dishes above are very recommended(check the pictures)! We got the gin and breezy point(a vodka martini) for drinks, and the cheesecake ice cream for dessert(the only mediocre item).

Went on a Wednesday night for dinner with a group of 8 and were able to get seated quickly at a high top by the bar. The restaurant was quite full but it created a great atmosphere. Had the lump crab cake to start which was delicious and had nice large chunks of crab rather than filler and too much bread crumb that you find in many other restaurants. We followed by having the caesar salad but replaced the romaine with kale and it was a great switch — the croutons are incredible! Lastly we had the NY strip and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare. I would definitely go back and plan to recommend this to friends!

A date took me here. He even booked a car. FANCY. Food — I had a steak salad, he had the pork chop. It was probably one of the best salad’s I’ve ever had. I didn’t ask to try his pork chop — it was only our first date. What if he didn’t like me eating off his plate?! Drink — He ordered a bottle of red wine. The waitress knew her wines(I didn’t). She presented it, he tasted. We ended up finishing the bottle. Service — Fantastic. The waitress touched on our table lots of time, even gave us time when we weren’t ready to order. Somehow, I think she knew it was a first date. A manager touched our table towards the end. I like it when a manager checks in on his customers. It was a nice first date setting. Not«too» romantic(that would scare me). Noise level was fair to quiet. It was great! The date went well too.

They’re so earnest. You really want to like em. Seems like a reliable spot more for office functions than a neighborhood spot. Food was good with nice freebies such as biscuits at brunch and free sparkling water. I enjoyed my French toast, but it just seemed a blah of beigey brown. The service though is warm, solicitious and approachable. My water was constantly filled. I never felt rushed.

Wow, what an upgrade for the space which used to be an Outback. Totally love the new interior! My friends and I were seated at a comfortable round booth table for brunch. We were greeted with a friendly waitress who pleasantly accepted our two giltcity coupons. Started off with some very moist biscuits and jam. The food is typical American fare. We ordered the diver scallop and crabcake appetizers to share, which were fine. We also shared a side of mushrooms and andouille sausage as well. Again, they were fine. Not bad, but nothing out of the ordinary. I got a chicken caesar salad which was too dry(my local deli makes a better one). Nevertheless, I’m pretty sure I’ll be back to see how their dinner is.

Pleasantly surprised. From a distance, Enduro looks like a trendyish joint so I was a little hesitant to bring the family here. Upon entering, the restaurant is actually(somewhat) tavern-like with the rotisserie meats at the far end of the restaurant and very spacious large round tables in the center and booths towards the side. There is a rectangular bar towards the left with tv screens overhead. Highlights include: a) Enduro has a great snack and appetizer selection. We tried the warm pretzel bread with butter and the ricotta spread with grilled ciabatta slices dipped in olive oil and black pepper(delicious!). And our waiter gave us free refills of ciabatta when we ran out. =) b) Brownie points for the sizeable portions. Even my sister’s 6ft 2 boyfriend had a hard time finishing his mega sized pork chop. c) Complimentary still and sparkling water. I dislike sparkling water but i’m glad that those in my party who do did not have to pay for it. =p d) DESSERT. Enduro’s dessert menu is limited but every dish we tried was a hit. We tried the warm donuts(3 selections), the coconut layer cake and the cheesecake softserve with graham crackers. I’m not even a fan of donuts but these ones were fresh from the oven and not greasy, dipped in the cheesecake softserve made it ***heaven***. Overall, comforting, solid dishes. I agree that the prices are steep for the quality, but i guess in this case i was not paying for the meal so this had a slight effect on my rating.

I went when it first opened. The wait staff is very good. I ordered and appetizer which wasn’t that good. I didn’t even complain, but the waitress saw that it was subpar so she automatically took it off the bill! Which was a good thing because this place can be a little pricey. No specials on the first day of the opening left a sour taste in my mouth. No happy hours at all?!? This neighborhood is riddled with specials — or at least meal specials so I don’t think I’ll go back since I can get a better value elsewhere. But very good waitstaff, excellent ambiance and the wine is very good. Just a little too pricey for what you get.

Given all the hype, was very disappointed. The space and ambiance are great. Potential is certainly there. The food however, is not. We wanted to try a variety of the menu so we went with the pretzel bread, the wings, and the scallops to start, and the lobster, the salmon and the chicken caesar for lunch. Everything was just ok. The food was plated nicely. But the flavor was lacking. The wings were served whole(the wingette and the drumette together). I found this to be rather obnoxious. Who wants to sit there dissecting their wings in the middle of lunch? The sauce it came with tasted like curry. It didn’t go well with the wings at all and felt almost forced(as if they were trying to be intentionally fancy when a classic sauce would have actually been much better). The scallops were very good(probably the best part of the meal) and the pretzel bread was definitely disappointing. Too much salt on the top, and the texture just wasn’t amazing(i.e., they were not crispy on outside and chewy on inside). Again, keeping with theme, it felt much more dressed up to look fancy than actually tasting good. The lobster was grilled and it was very good. But it’s lobster. Not very difficult. They brought out some type of tomato compote to go with it, but about 10 minutes after they served the lobster and after we had actually finished it. The chicen caesar was also good. Needed a bit more dressing. The salmon was just ok. Nothing to write home about. The restaurant is certainly working out some kinks. The sprinkler over our table was dripping a little bit. The service needs some improvement(dishes were consistently dropped off to the wrong person at the table) and things generally took too long when asked for given the restaurant was not busy at all. Finally, a pet peeve. I cannot stand resturants that charge for soda refills. It just leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth. I’m spending hundreds of dollars on lunch; you can give me a soda refill without charging me 3 extra dollars. Its pathetic. Overall, the meal was ok and not worth the price. I’ll try it again in a month or two, but it did not live up to the hype. For a similar meal, I’ll stick with Hillstone which is only 2 blocks away.

So I randomly ate at this restaurant on their opening night. Sat at the bar. Was waited on by a great bartender(Sharon). Had the crab cake and then the lobster. Sides of bacon(sort of a bacon steak!) and fries. Everything was amazing. Plus, All-American, well-curated wine list. Ended up taking the family(wife and boy) back the next day. Had the meatballs, salmon, grouper and burger. All fantastic! This place was sorely needed in mid-town east!
