It was a really great place. Would be better if they hired nicer bartenders and had a bigger space though, but the music is great and even the bouncer is nice so it makes up for it. They only have one non-gendered bathroom. This place completely fills up by 1am and they serve a wide demographic of people. Very LGBT/POC friendly!

This is a strange/quirky/fun place to go out. The first time I was there, there was a girl in a fur vest holding a pineapple, and they play vaguely disco electronic music that’s fun to dance to. That’s really all you need to know. Just go, it’s fun.

Interesting little night club. Be aware that this place is not well marked. There are no signs(that I am aware of) that indicate that it is «Elvis guesthouse» it is just a staircase that leads down stairs and normally will have a bouncer checking ID’s at the top of the stairs. It was a fairly«free flowy» almost hippie vibe to it. Very tiny for place to bring a big group of people but could be a nice relax place to go if it’s not super crowded. Drinks are fairly reasonable i.e. Miller lite($ 5); Jack on the rocks($ 10). Music is kind of a retro-techno mix. Only serious complaint we have for this place is the bathroom — only ONE bathroom for both male and female which was poorly taken care of and at the moment did not flush. If you plan on going here and will need to use a bathroom, plan on doing that well before entering or plan on holding your breath and waiting in a long line.

I really want to like this place. They have a great sounding QSC speaker system with an all important subwoofer, and good DJs regularly. But I’m shocked they did not expand the bar which is right at the entrance, so it’s impossible to get a drink when crowded. This was one of my biggest gripes about Arrow Bar, and its still the same problem here. This place also smells like sewage, being in the basement. So I probably won’t be back by choice

I’ve always been a fan of Baby’s All Right, but god damn it does Elvis Guesthouse suck. If you can make it through the hoards of insta-famous 17 year olds to the bar, be ready for a $ 25 card minimum as if you were in a Times Square strip club. Skip it and go to a better bar/venue — even their sister spot in Williamsburg.

Came here late night a few weekends ago to dance. The DJ was sick and while I have no idea who she was I was like putty in her hands. It was a fantastic mix of styles and every single one was a banger. Very scene-y young attractive crowd, felt like I was at one of «those» bars. Lots of undone hair, eyeliner, red lipstick, platforms, and crop tops. I danced for hours even though my stiletto clad feet were killing me. I will definitely be back, probably not for a show since the space is a little small, but definitely for late night dancing and drinks. The flower photo booth is pretty rad too.

Goddam what a shitty place to see music — the problems are these: You’re basically hanging out in somebody’s likely rat infested basement. There’s a mediocre restaurant right above you shoveling sloppy wet food and I’m sure the rats have a lot to feast on. No stage and this place maybe fits 75 people on a good night so you’re right in front of the artists — but the sight lines are poor if you happen to be standing 3 – 4 rows/layers back. Also, forget about stage diving. You can crack your skull open moshing here if you happen to land your face on the corner of the booth tables, which seem anchored to the floor. It’s not a real music venue — it’s basically a room — so the acoustics are also shit.

Been open 5 months– give it a year. Another hipster dive in the increasingly gentrified area.

I came to a show here. It was really fun. Tight space, in all senses of the word. Great people watching and really really rad interior. The show staff and bartenders are cool, too. Only problem: $ 20 minimum on card, which was inconvenient.

Came here on a Wednesday night for a show. Thoughts: — Love the neon back-lit bar though the beautiful people hanging out there are almost too cool for me. — Entrance is downstairs directly below a Japanese restaurant. If you’re having a little trouble finding it, you’ve probably found it. — This bar’s layout isn’t super conducive to a good live show and yet there are so many lined up for the summer. — The dark-tiled room in the back left corner with shower curtains covering the cutout windows is weird. — Sexy things are happening in that bathroom. — I don’t think I’m in NY. Despite my list appearing more negative than anything, I find myself drawn to this new establishment and look forward to returning. Maybe I’ll be eligible for bar-space next time.

This is the old Arrow Bar space that always looked mad grunge and super divey, and thus too cool for the likes of me. Well no more of that! Now this spot is decked out like beachside Miami, with an awesome semi-enclosed blue tiled private seating area that’s lined with plants along the ledge and clear plastic mini-shower curtains along the window cutouts. Whaaaa? I came for a special DJ and R&B/Hip-Hop/Soul performance set that was live(as in sick/dope/[insert other similar slang]). My new favorite DJ was spinning hella 90s and early 00s R&B jams like Brandy’s «What About Us» and Destiny’s Child«So Good,» which brought me back to my high school days. The performers were extra talented, with major props to the headliner of the night Rahel. I didn’t have anything to drink cause it’s a school night ;) but my friends took multiple trips to the bar for beers, so I assume prices weren’t outrageous. This is definitely a fairly new joint that’s under wraps right now. And I’d love it to stay that way, but I also want a First Review badge. Let’s face it though, nothing stays secret for long in Manhattan anymore, so c’est la vie.
