This is my abosolute favorite Mexican joint. Very fresh ingredients, flavorful and just out right delicious… i’m a regular there, the owner can sometimes come off as rude, and likes to over charge if you’re not careful, but aside from that the food is great

I’ve been here twice. I feel like something is missing. Maybe it’s the music, you walk in and there’s nothing playing. It’s a small place, placed next to a church and a Chinese take out spot. The place is a bit dark as well. It may be a family business, that may need a bit of TLC to give the place a little umph! Let’s get to the food. I’ve only tried their tacos which i love and their tamales, which were also good. Both times I went, were taco out. I love love love their pork tacos. Which was the best thing that I tried so far. Very flavorful and the ingredients were fresh. This place doesn’t serve alcohol nor do they take debit or credit, I am sure if they added those features, they’d be a hit. One thing I didn’t like and found completely tacky was the sign reading«if you do not eat here, we will charge you for napkins, utensils… etc.» They have other signs but that one turned my stomach. Anyways I hope you check it out. This was my experience, it may be completely different for you. Check out my blog:

Horrible customer service. Charge you a different price from what is on the menu. Stay in price is different from take out.

Tacos were bomb, enchiladas were delicious, cocktail de camarones was eh, horchata was legit… overall enjoyed my lunch… and enjoyed my tab even more… definitely mom’s kitchen here

Was disappointed, the burrito was sub par I don’t even think the tortilla was cooked and when I told the waiter that the forgot the grated cheese he simply said«no it’s there» when it clearly was not. I have had much better Mexican for way less money. Will not return or recommend. It is allways a let down when you crave something and you come out with just wasted money

The food here is delicious! !! Fresh, flavorful, colorful and huge portions. The guacamole is so good and taste very authentic. I usually order the chorizo nachos and I’m set for the whole day Their food is made to order, so if you’re in a rush you might want to go somewhere else.

Excellent Mexican food! Tried the cemitas and the enchiladas. The cemitas are HUGE. I had half for dinner and half for lunch the next day. Authentic mexican taste. I got my food in about a half an hour. The menu on didn’t have updated prices, even though it was well worth the money. Definitely ordering from here more often.

Had some food delivered one afternoon, and placing my order was a little challenging. No one spoke English, that is except for a kid. which would be ok if he/she understood me, I spent five minutes spelling out my street address! As for the food, nothing spectacular, definitely not for their prices. I ordered a chicken quesadilla, the chicken looked precooked and was so dark I thought it was steak. My steak tacos were dry and over cooked, I got some chips and gauc they were ok. As someone previously stated they are somewhat overpriced for their portion size. There were also things left out my bag, charge it to language barriers. I was really excited based off some of these reviews, total let down.

I would say the food here is better than Taco Bell and authentic in taste. When you enter the store you feel like you’ve entered a Mexican restaurant. It’s very cozy there if you want to feel like your at home. From the decorations to the menus the place lives up to it name. Also be prepared to leave full.

I’ve lived around the neighborhood for around 30 and have walked by it forever. Until, my nephew, put me on! Great Mexican food great taste and the portions are huge! Try them out you won’t regret it!

$ 3.50 per taco in the Bronx is a little pricy in my point of view. Until I got my «to go» container and it weighed about five pounds. These suckers are packed with goodies: meat, lettuce, salsa and sour cream all nestled in a double corn tortilla. There was so much in it that half of it immediately fell out of the tortilla when I attempted to pick it up. They were ok, but a nice change of pace from the Dominican or fast food restaurants in the hood.

Very authentic and very fresh. I eat here all the time. Cute little kids often there being babysat by their moms(the waitresses). Only one waitress speaks English but that’s okay. Love their tortas, tacos and quesadillas. This place is full of win. l

I have passed by this place a million times and am so disappointed in myself for not walking in. My sister mentioned how great the food was and I still shunned it… why? I really don’t know! The food in here is really good and really fresh. My first visit I had a Bistec/Steak Enchilada. Wow how Yummy! Really Authentic and Fresh! Coming up on Tremont days later, I had to return and try the Tacos Dorados/Flautas. First time trying them and another shocker. Now I’m in love, lol and I will most likely visit every other day for a month… take a break and when I remember them again, do the same routine all over again. I highly recommend you check out this place if your around and plus if you like Mexican food. Oh… and I feel they make the Morir Sonando better then Miguelina’s
