Not good with service, always messing up your order and then don’t want to exchange it. Whether it’s in 20 mins from the time you ordered. They make you pay again! Not good at all. Waste of money! I tried again personally and they messed up again. Really not good at all! Again waste of money…

Called this place for the first time and they messed up our order. When we called to tell them about the order they made us feel like it was our fault. Instead of acknowledging that they made a mistake they retraced the whole ordering process to see who messed up when placing the order. I ordered an egg platter(eggs, meat, potatoe cakes, and toast) and they charged me for it but they only gave me 2 out of the 4 items. At the end of the conversation they admitted they ran out of one of the items in the platter. After I finished my meal they sent over the toast. Never going to order from this place again.

I’ve been here a few times. Nothing special. The prices are a little high for what you actually get.

Amazing tortas. Try the milanesa de pollo with chipotles or, if you’re more in the mood for juice, a Vampire.

The food at this place is amazing. My favorite is the mixed green salad with grilled chicken or the Cobb salad. Also, the Chef cooks the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. 2 eggs, over medium with turkey, avocado, Swiss and serano peppers. The juices and smoothie are also awesome. Delivery? Extremely quick. So you might be thinking… «Why only three stars?» The owner is one of the biggest jerks I have ever met. I strongly dislike the man. He is unfriendly, grumpy and just a complete terrible person. If his food wasn’t as good as it is there would be no reason for me to go there. He makes it very hard for me to give him my money.

really like this place, I’ve gone many times for the juices, its nice that they let me make my own juice mix and you can get a shot of wheatgrass too. If you order on the phone, be prepared to speak in spanish, in the place you can kind of point to what you want but they speak mostly spanish here. The owner is very nice speaks english and is very helpful. I’ve even enjoyed their burgers. Will be going again.

what a gem this place is! my friend just moved to east harlem and we were walking towards the train, searching for a place to get hangover food. this place had sammiches and fresh juices, so we went in. you’d think it was like a little bodega. but so much better! they were so busy making orders, it had to be good. highlights: — very friendly staff. — a nice selection of fresh produce(i bought some mini guavas) — great juice menu!!! i had the vampire(beet, apple, carrot, celery, ginger, lemon) — great freshly made sammiches — i had a torta with chorizo and egg. had avocado, lettuce, tomato, and i added chipotle sauce. so good! — lots of other fun spanish products too(i bought some tamarind candy & mexican hot chocolate) — everything is fresh! and best of all, cheeeep!

I don’t get it, I just don’t get it. Seriously guys? 5 stars? How? Am I the only person who has seen the rats scurrying in and out of the store front? Not one rat, I saw about 7the one night. I’m pretty sure this place gave me the shits once. It even has a B rating from the city. They’re gross, low rent, and they ha e a crap attitude. You serve me my overpriced rat hair filled smoothie with a smile Guadalupe.

Yeah, this is my first 5 star review. I’ll tell you why… It’s walking distance from my favorite taco spot, El Aguila, :-) Their fruits and veggies are super fresh AND they let you sip your juice before covering it so they can refill what you’ve sipped(to empty the whole juice container). I’ve been here twice but have always left pleased. The juice costs $ 5.50 which I guess is more than what it use to be according to another Unilocaler, but I’ve paid more for the same quality so I think it’s completely worth it. Yesterday I got the immunity juice but instead of parsley I got carrot. It was great! The combination was: carrot, green apple(which the juicer asked me to hand her from where they sell their fruits), beet(which made the juice vibrant red) and celery(which is refreshing and cleansing). It was DELICIOUS! If you’re ever in the Barrio, or as I call it «Little Mexico», and are in the mood for some cleansing, healthy goodness– stop for a juice here!

El Barrio Juice Bar is a must on a sunny weekend morning or to cure any hangovers very quickly. They’re ingredients are super fresh and the people are really friendly. You can now also get soymilk in your smoothies there which I’m really excited about. They’ve recently expanded into the lot next door and the inside is inviting — although there is no place to sit. They also carry some good fruits and vegetables you can buy and protein powder etc — plus some other random health food stuff. My boyfriend is really excited about the Noni juice that they carry — for $ 46 a bottle(shots are $ 2) — a rare fruit only grown in Tahaiti that somehow enables him to kick his caffeine addiction for a day or so. I’m toying with trying a wheatgrass shot($ 2.25) which I hear is also pretty amazing. Maybe someday. For now I’ll stick with my super fresh number 6 — Strawberry Splash with fresas, bananas, y naranjas. mmmmmmm I highly recommend stopping by.

El Barrio Juice Bar blends up some great juice combos — just take a look at the picture I uploaded that shows the selections. 12oz cost $ 5 so it isn’t cheap, but I give it a buck a star.
