Edge Hotel

I’m staying at Edge Hotel in lieu of an AirBnB studio across the street that was just too edgy. Third time in NYC, this is definitely my luckiest find in the lodging arena. Mario, Maria, and Lili at the front desk are all very friendly. Brandon, in building operations, helped me out with a (silly) door problem I encountered — it was my first day here… sleep deprived! I was embarrassed, he was gracious.
Anyways, this lil (54 room) hotel is SOLID. It’s very clean, new and shiny (open less than a year). The rooms are thoughtfully designed, and the bathroom is SWEET. I’ll snap a picture of the organizer, a life saver for a small (but really stunning) space.
My Standard Queen has plenty of room for one person. Two organized people could survive just fine. Full length mirror. Nice laminate flooring. Big flatscreen. They have a limited number of mini-​fridges, but for 10.00 extra a day, one can be reserved.
Plenty of plug-​ins @ the desk. Comfy chair. The designers nailed the lighting. The window has a sunscreen, and a darkening shade.
Bed, sheets, pillows all good.
I haven’t been to breakfast, but there is a basic offering in a clean room adjacent to the gym — there are also a couple of guest computers available nearby.
So far (knock on wood), it’s been quiet.
Cherry Tree Gourmet Station: Ten minute walk to an excellent organic grocery-​café. My meal: Lime chicken with quinoa, kale and avocado salad, sweet potatoes. Open 7am — Midnight.

«where do i begin»
i went here to use their so called «business center» because i had a guest from out of town staying a few nights at this location. and i was truly displeased with the amount of things that i witness at this location. the area is forever changing and i think this location has the potential to hit the masses, but for my personal opinion this location in particular gave me a really bad taste in my mouth. so here we go with my play by play break down.

upon walking into the place i did notice that the main entrance did look really good but actually going in this place i did not receive the «hospitatly expectations» that i was looking for. first i walked inside of being greeted i caught glares from the employees, it was as if i was not suppose to be in the room. that min i felt uncomfortable and to make matters worse, i still was not greeted with any «hello”/“welcome to …”/​or «how are you?» instead i was prejudged from the start.

literally i finally managed to find the room (and i have to mentioned this, the staff did not even bother telling me where the room was) and i noticed that the room was a lot smaller than what i had seen on the pictures on their website.

i personally would not come here just based on the fact that the staff was very rude, and were not a big help in making my experience as a guest a good one.

I stayed at this hotel for a weekend summit and the staff was so friendly and accommodating, especially with a rather large group they were especially patient throughout the entire process of booking, checking in and out. This hotel is rather new so the rooms are in great condition with its own thermostat.
I stayed in a deluxe double which was comfortable for 5 people. We had two on each bed and I was on the floor. I asked for an extra comforter and a few towels and the staff delivered it to our room quickly! I appreciated their service and they didn’t seem to mind making 5 room keys for each of us. The hotel has a modern charm to it and I enjoyed that there was a space to workout, wifi and breakfast available here. Overall, my stay with Edge was comfortable and enjoyable!

This hotel is fairly new and you can tell. The rooms were clean. Service was fast as one day we stepped out for lunch, came back to a freshly cleaned room. We even took advantage of the fitness center which has treadmills, exercise bikes ellipticals, weights and more. The staff were all very friendly. The rate for this hotel was great considering we stayed in NYC on a weekend before the holidays. I would stay here again!
