The owner is difficult has provides very low quality lenses. Although the eye examination was thorough and seemed accurate, the owner, and salesman, told me he could provide me what I wanted, which is simply to see clearly and effortlessly, but he gave me very poor progressive lenses. The prescription on top was not right, it was fuzzy looking, there was way too much area of distortion on the sides, lots of glare, and the point where the two prescriptions converge on the lens, in the middle of my field of vision, was too high. When receiving these lenses, he told me I was wrong and to wear them for awhile for my eyes to get used to them, but after trying I can’t. They strain my eyes too much from hindering my site. I gave Economy two stars instead of one because this happened before and in the end provided me with usable lenses, although not without a lot of difficulty. I shouldn’t have gone back, but I thought since it happened before this time he’d be more thorough and not try to pass off cheap, poorly crafted lenses. Plus, the location was convenient for me. I’m taking these lenses back tomorrow and am dreading it. The last thing I want when I’m trying to see better is someone giving me something that makes my eyes worse and giving me a hard time for wanting better lenses or my money back.

I’ve been going to Economy Best Vision now for over 8 years. The on site doctor is fantastic, helpful & insightful(no pun intended). They do great work here. My glasses are always done promptly and correctly and the owner is very helpful if you need changes of nearly any kind. Yes, sometimes he tries to get you to buy the frames they have in the store, but I checked the prices against Sol Moscot and Lens Crafters for frames and he charges the same. Keep in mind that this is no small feat considering it is a mom and pop business and they can’t buy in bulk. What I will say though is that the lenses themselves are much cheaper than the big company competitors in the city. $ 100 will get you glare free, poly lenses that are also scratch resistant(this is for the thinner lens which is more pricey too). Not bad. If you don’t want a sales pitch, walk in with your own frames. They are more than happy to do just the lens work if that’s what you want. I like this store. I like it because it’s bucking the trend of chain stores eating up everything in sight. I like it because I walk in there and I can talk to the same two or three people each and every time year after year. And there’s personal, individualized service. Sometimes it can be a little slow, yes, but overall I highly recommend Economy Best Vision.
