A small to-go kimbap stand that is cash only. This is a great alternative to Woorijip if you don’t want to wait in the long line to pay for your kimbap. The good thing is that they clearly make the kimbap on that day and don’t keep anything overnight. They are super nice here. They even give you miso soup. I forgot if they charge you for it but I think I got it for free.

I stopped by this place for a quick bite during my lunch break. I ordered the beef kimbap and it was disappointing. The beef was really dry and the veggies inside were just okay. I came here because it was supposed to be cheap but it was $ 7.50. You can get other kimbap for cheaper that tastes the same in Ktown. Overall just meh.

Since I don’t eat fish, I’m tend to deter from trying anything that looks like sushi and many times, vegetarian options are too bland. Well this place had a Spam option. I LOVESPAM. The Spam Kimbab was delicious. Served with miso soup, it was the perfect snack to start your day of adventures in Manhattan.

I’ve passed by this location so many times without noticing it until my friends pointed it out. The kimbap here is solid. If I have never had kimbap in Flushing, I would give this spot 5 stars. However, kimbap in Flushing is cheaper and tastier, hence my 4 stars. Nonetheless, I will definitely be returning if I am around the area and craving kimbap. The service is quick and friendly, which is also a plus! Note: Their prices have gone up. The price for a roll is $ 7-$ 7.50

Pssst don’t tell my mom, but E-mo makes the best Spicy Tuna Kimbap! I like how they add the sesame leaf for that extra texture/taste. It’s actually spicy! Most Spicy Tuna don’t impress me with their spiciness but this one definitely has a kick. Foreigners call it Korean Sushi but the literal Korean to English translation is Seaweed Rice. There’s so many combinations and E-mo’s got the bases covered from Beef to Kimchi to Vegetable. There’s certain Korean foods that are easier to introduce to people outside of the culture, Kimbap is definitely one of them. It’s delicious, no aversion to it ATALL during my childhood. KIDS would love this snack/meal! It was made to order right in front of you. It’s a quick filling snack/meal that’s easy to eat with your fingers. COMESWITHFREESOUP! Can’t wait to stop by again! How come I’ve haven’t notice it before.

I’ve known about this place for a while and probably stopped in once before. There has to be a reason why they’ve lasted so long, right? I recently decided to give them a try and it was good. I ordered the beef kimbap since lots of the kimbap places have a tendency to make the beef on the dry side, but it wasn’t the case here. Kimbap is made to order and ingredients are fresh. There wasn’t much flavor to it though, but I guess that keeps it on the healthier side. An order of kimbap comes with a free miso soup, which I feel is more like a clear broth, works for me. One thing that I had an issue with was that they didn’t cut the pieces all the way through so trying to separate the pieces made it fall apart. Overall, not a bad option for a quick lunch or dinner if you’re not feeling other Korean restaurant style food in the area.

I’ve only been to E-Mo once and I absolutely LOVED it. I’m never around during their operating hours to stop by again, but I recommend it to friends all the time. It’s just that great! I want to the say I got the beef roll; it was just perfect comfort good and a perfect grab and go kind of meal. If you’re Koreatown, definitely worth grabbing a roll. Though, note that it is cash only!

Came here to get my kimbap fix for the night. Ordered two rolls(about 8ish pieces each): the spam and spicy tuna(the latter actually packs quite the heat!). I was super impressed by how quickly they made each roll. The space is tiny with one short counter that can fit maybe 4 – 5 people maximum, standing room only. Besides kimbap they also offer bowls of instant noodles which they can make for you on the spot and a giant vat of miso soup. Overall, it’s a no frills hole in the wall where you can take away many rolls of deliciousness for cheap. Now I know where to go for kimbap!

This is my «go to» kimbop hole-in-the-wall K-Town joint. It really is, no bigger than a Manhattan studio apt. The selection may have 8 – 9 varieties ranging from spam to bulgogi kimbop and spicy tuna and squid in between. It’s packaged neatly and one roll can be ample for lunch. My personal favs are spicy tuna and bulgogi. They are the best around! There is no other place I will go to than this«go to» place. Prices are reasonable and it’s all cash. *note to self stop by a cash machine! Aigoo.

Good kimbap. Although when i ate my kimbap i noticed that the seaweed was not sliced all the way through making it almost impossible to take one piece at a time with the chopstick. The miso soup included was also good. Not bad for 7 $ But if you’re willing to travel all the way to queens kimbaps there are only 5 $

This place is excellent for kimbap, as everyone seems to agree. I tried the beef, which was far from disappointing, Service was quite fast, and the location is small and narrow — no seats here, but if you want a cheap quick bite you really can’t go wrong. Also, they offer free miso with your order — a nice addition.

This place is my go-to for kimbap. Everything is made to order and is always so delicious! I had the spam kimbap when I went, but I plan on going back to try it all. It’s relatively inexpensive(about $ 6 for a roll) and you get a side of miso soup with your order. Just a note for when you go in, it’s a small establishment and is cash only, so it’s more of a take out place.

I saw the excellent reviews and feel kind of bad for giving this place only two stars. I got the spam kimbap, which may be my fault as spam doesn’t seem very traditional Korean. Or perhaps I was spoiled by my fave kimbap place in SF. Either way, not coming back.

What sets E-mo apart from other restaurants in Koreatown is each kimbap is made to order. The food is fresh and the service is quick. I’ve tried two kimbaps: Beef and the Spicy Tuna. The beef wasn’t too dry. The kimbaps were good and I liked how tightly they’re rolled up. There wasn’t anything too special about the kimbaps. But I think they’re much better than eating prepackaged kimbaps.

My favorite kimbap place in the city. The lady is super quick and friendly, that is until you come during the lunch rush hour and take too long to order. You have to know what you want when you get there. My favorite so far is the cheese kimbap, jalapeño and spam. The rolls also come with miso soup, but you don’t have to get it if you don’t want one. They also sell cup ramen noodles. There isn’t really a place to sit down and eat because it is literally the size of my bathroom.

I come here for quick(although it’s not always fast) kimbap takeouts. They’re well-made and very tasty, definitely the best ones I’ve found in Manhattan. The price is a bit more than what you’d pay for in the suburbs or Flushing, but the immediate comfort and satisfaction they provide are priceless. I recommend the beef and spicy tuna. Cash only!

Not good at all! I got 2 kimbap rolls(spicy squid and spicy tuna) and it ended up costing me $ 14 which is ridiculous! Last time I went to Rolly Kimbap in Flushing and it was a little over $ 15 for THREE rolls! Ok, it’s pricy here so the rolls must taste good right? WRONG. The spicy tuna barely had any spicy tuna it in… It was like 25% spicy tuna and 75% vegetables… Spicy tuna rolls that I have gotten elsewhere were jam packed with spicy tuna but here, they are very skimpy with the ingredients! The taste was also off… It didn’t taste like what spicy tuna is supposed to taste like… The spicy squid was lacking in flavor and was nothing amazing. Very nice service but that’s about it. Kimbap rolls are pricy, lacking in ingredients and subpar. Won’t be coming back!

A craving for spicy tuna led me here. E-Mo holds up the reputation that hole-in-the-walls have some of the best food! I was actually disappointed with the spicy tuna, which was cooked through and not as moist as I would have liked. The beef was good, though the non-meat components outshone the beef. My favorite by far was the spam kimbap, which had the flavour and moisture that the previous two rolls seemed to be missing. Keep in mind this place is cash-only!

Wonderful and simple kimbob. That’s all they make here. Fresh, simple, delicious, and perfect for any appetite. If you’re super hungry, get two or three. If you’re just looking for something light to tide you over, get their vegetarian kimbob. Been going here for years and it’s still wonderful. The two owners are also very sweet and since I’m a regular, they always ask how I am and how my girlfriend is doing.

I like how whenever I go here it’s so simply. The light up sign outside is a nice touch. It maybe a tight cramped store but the food here is delicious. The owner, is nice despite how busy she maybe. She works quickly and productively. I really like how the kimbaps are too good to believe. there’s not really much to write. You should just stop reading this review and just go get some.
