Just a classic Duane Reade. Do they have the best prices? Definitely not. But use the loyalty card and you’ll be alright. If I need something late at night when everything else is closed, it’s a solid spot to go. They’ve always had what I was looking for there.

Ladies, don’t come here in the middle of the night unless you feel like being sexually harassed by male employees and managers alike!

This place is bizarre. The staff is incompetent and inappropriate. Every time I go in, a staff member is cursing or complaining at the counter in front of customers. I’ve never been anywhere more unpleasant!

Typical duane reade but traffic flow in and out of the store is horrible! There is a dual sliding door entrance with the left marked out and the right marked in. Well the«In» side is also the side the registers are on so you will always bump into people on their way out! reverse your in /out stickers for better traffic flow.

I would love to work at this place. The staff is never doing anything but laughing hysterically at each others’ inside jokes and trying as hard as possible to completely ignore the customers, even while they are at the registers. Their selection of greeting cards is horrible– don’t waste your time on that area. Everything is pretty much what you’d expect.

This is definitely not just a Duane Reade and should be recognized for such. Granted, I do live right above it so I know that I may be a bit biased. Every since this Duane Reade teamed up with Wallgreens they have expanded and I have benefited! They essentially have a supermarket — filled with fresh produce, frozen meals and deli meats — as well as a great new pharmacy. The pharmacy is always stocked and fast(and when it’s not, they always let you know and arrange for it to be delivered ASAP) and they are also very helpful. They rarely are out of what I want both food-wise and cosmetics wise. They have the best selection of nail polish that I’ve ever seen! My only real complaint is that they are often understaffed at the front desk at night but I wouldn’t be surprised if that is standard fare.

A 24 hour spot so you can swing by if you are in a pinch. No need to do any regular shopping there though…

Staff are lazy and completely unhelpful. Go to the one on 87th street and save yourself the trouble.

This is my regular drug store of choice in the area. It has a moderate selection of items and you can pretty much find everything you need here that is sold in regular drug stores. Even when there are long lines, they move pretty fast. However, sometimes the workers don’t even notice and work just as slowly as if there is only one person in line. Staff is very friendly and helpful though. Place is always orderly and clean. Would recommend for your basic emergency needs.

I guess they say you’ve been in one Duane Reade you have been in the all. It goes the same for this one as well. I live across the street, so I frequently shop here for the emergency toilet paper or beer. It seems thought that when you are searching for something particular they never have it. On the outside they offer film development but I still have yet to find where they hide all the machines. The staff is not that friendly and they usually only have one register open. If the line starts to get long the other employees just walk away and act like they are talking on their cell phones. On a good note they recently got a Blockbuster terminal in the store so they for at least that going for them.

It’s Duane Reade! If you’ve been to one, you’ve pretty much experienced them all! This particular location is one floor, with three steps up to the back of the store. There’s also a ramp which makes this DR handicapped accessible! :) Word to the wise: if you’re a DR sales hound, your best bet is to go on Saturday to stock up on whatever it is you’re in search of which happens to be on sale. This location will be sold out toward week’s end though like all DRs, they get their deliveries on Wednesday, a day I advise you not to go on. The pharmacy is located toward the back of the store and I’ve only had poor experiences with it. Though DR is 24 hours, the pharmacy isn’t, which means if you NEED something, forget it… that’s what CVS up the street is for. The pharmacy does deliver which is a nice bonus, but for the hell I’ve gone through, it didn’t make up for it. They don’t let you know if they can’t fill your prescription, don’t return your doctors’ calls, and lots of times, don’t have what you need in stock. Staff can range from friendly and helpful to cranky and doing you a favor… but come on, it’s DR! Would you want to work there?
