Store # 14293 Why is it nearly every visit to a Duane Reade in Manhattan there is almost always one cashier manning the fort with five customers in the queue? The cashier was yapping away with his colleagues while Facebooking, Twittering on his phone as he was ringing my sale! I came here to attain a bag of chips as my second part of lunch, but it was like pulling teeth. Aija!

Standard DR. Usually only one employee manning the registers like others have said. Some of the shelves are bare or have slim pickings. Take it for what it’s worth.

A Duane Reade. It was empty and the staff didn’t ask if I needed help. Pass.

Lone cashier at checkout, after noticing that there was a line of 5 people waiting:(intercom) Can I have backup at the front? *chirp chirp* Lone cashier: Man, I saaaid, Can I have backup? *chirp chirp* Rather than watching the cashier ring up a customer who was apparently buying the entirety of Duane Reade(woof), I left. Pretty sure I can find that tube of toothpaste elsewhere. And that backup never came.

A poor excuse for a Duane Reade, the aisles here are very tight! NOT accessible! Candy selection is POOR! And as for Christmas candy, I’m going to call it non-existent! As always, DR is the highest priced on the drugstore chains!

I hate you, 14023rd Street Duane Reade. why can’t you be open 24 hours like your brother, 7123rd Street?
