Duane Read doesn’t give so much for me, or raise any special feelings. I find the most important things there but not anything else. (Though at the time I visited the place I wondered why it had got only ‘okay’ reviews [***]).
This food market is really calm and tidy, and the things are being found easily. The food store/​pharmacy has also very fair prices!
Though the store has a very interesting and special name (the company’s first successful full-​service drugstore was founded 1960 on Broadway between Duane and Reade Streets in Manhattan. The streets were named after early American politicians James Duane and Joseph Reade), the first times you see it, it is really hard to remember!

Clean store, good (but slow) customer service. One big thing is they ALWAYS have a long line. Big store, 2 floors.
Also wish they were open 24 hours.
