Left this Duane and when home 15 minutes later 2 identical American Express charges showed up for my medication. Called immediately and they would not do anything to correct their mistake. Said I had to come back (which as senior citizen I could not). Going to CVS from now on.

Best pharmacy! The pharmacists are kind, caring and answer most any guestion you have. I had a few emergencies and presciptions that were not written correctly and the pharmacists took care of all my problems guickly. Great service!

I agree with others who have posted about this particular Duane Reade. I too highly recommend this store — the staff bend over backwards to be helpful, the pharmacists are knowledgeable – and I the cashiers are terrific. It’s such a pleasant shopping experience. Kudos to Duane Reade for running such this top notch store!

Expensive New York version of a Walgreens or CVS. BUT, you gotta have it an use it. Fun fact: The first Duane Reade store got its name because on the corner of Duane St and Reade St downtown? Also, I am pretty sure Walgreens owns them now.

Newer branch that is very clean, usually no lines, courteous staff, well stocked. Only stays open until 10PM. Not bad!

This is one Duane Reade worth writing a review for. It is clean, well-​maintained and never super crowded. The lines move quickly.
The reason it stands out in my mind is the staff here. Everyone is super courteous and helpful. So many times in stores, the cashiers act like you are disturbing them by checking out. These folks are the exact opposite — cheerful, helpful and friendly.

I think all Duane Reades are fairly similar so I don’t usually review them. But the pharmacist at this location is very sweet and helpful. So the five star review is for her.
Also, they have soda and beer here for far cheaper than anywhere in the area. Which are weekend essentials at my apartment.

Nice Duane Reade!
This DR took over the location of the Gristede’s pharmacy… thankfully! It’s a nice, big store with the aisles going all different ways – when you walk in, there are a bunch to the right; if you keep walking straight, there’s plenty of aisle which eventually ago allll the way to the right – lots of twists and turns!
Oh, did I mention this store is handicapped accessible? You’ll be able to fit through the doors and a chair can fit through the aisles. If you’re walking though, there’s quite a bit to do!
The store was extremely well stocked. Well, it did just recently open, but, well, you never know – sometimes stores don’t stock the shelves fully if they just opened. You should know refrigerated beverages are ALLLL the way in the back of the store.
A verrrrrrry bright store, it’s open from 7:00 am until 10 pm. Store was virtually empty on a Thursday night.
