Can I give zero stars? This place is disgusting and the employees are rude and incompetent. Shelves are never full.

DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY. Over the course of three months, they have filled three prescriptions incorrectly. Completely incompetent pharmacy staff. In additional to filling prescriptions wrong on a regular basis, they use absolutely no HIPAA regulations — anyone can pick up your prescriptions. Nothing to sign. No name, address or birth date checked. They should be put out of business.

This place is run down, often half unpacked boxes are obstructing the hallway, sometimes shelfs are empty, … as one reviewer said … this place is depressing.
Some employees are really nice and attentive others don’t know the stuff behind the counter and even give some annoyed looks if you ask them for something.
I rather go a couple of blocks further to avoid this place.

First of all this Duane Reade is a little depressing, especially with most of the products in the basement, it’s dusty and on the dirty end.
My biggest problem with this Duane Reade is with their pharmacy. I dropped off my prescription, went back to pick it up the next day and they told me it wasn’t there. Gave them all my information and eventually located my records under someone else’s name. WTF? They dug out my original prescription and it had my name on it and so did my insurance card, they kept asking if I ever went by a different name. I didn’t and the prescription, insurance and id all have the same name on it.
They never apologized, I ended up waiting over an hour and made me feel like I made the mistake. If they can’t get a name right, I have trouble believing they can get my meds right. Never again. I’m transferring my prescription to Rite Aide accross the street.
