1÷30÷2016 I ate here for dinner last night and was very disappointed with the service and food. My guest ordered a 12 oz filet medium and received her steak Medium Rare. I ordered the 3 medallion filets with a different sauce on each filet and was disappointed in how salty the sauce made the steak. In fact 2 of the medallions I had to scrape the sauce off to eat the steak. In addition the service was very slow and not attentive. I had to ask the manager for another glass of wine and more water. The server was not very efficient which is extremely disappointing. When you spend $ 60 for an al a carte steak you expect excellent service. I would rate this visit as one of the most disappointing visits to a steakhouse in recent m

The ambience and the décor of the place is nice. I had ordered a rack of lamb, seafood mac and cheese, and chou-fleur au gratin. All of the food was delicious, however the chou-fleur au gratin was too bland to my liking. Here is why I am giving this review 3 stars instead of 4. Our waitress, who was all bubbly and appeared somewhat nice in the beginning, turned out to be really rude and obnoxious. I had brought a cake in advance for my cousin’s b day, which I provided up front. When dessert time came, I signaled for the waitress to get the cake, and she messed up three times, before finally the manager came. He was apologetic, still having to ask me if I had brought a cake. I calmly told him YES and they finally brought it out. At that point, I felt that the manager should have at least offered something off the menu, but he did not. I was furious at this point and the waitress knew it, to top it off she was rudely whispering some words to another waitress and they kept staring at our table and trying to eaves drop. After it all we felt that we should have gone to Ruth’s Chris. Next time, we will!

Mediocre food at best, horrible service & extremely overpriced. This place is a tourist trap! My sister and I came for a girls day in the city and I couldn’t believe how bland the food was, unattentive the servers were & outrageous price given the quality. It seemed we weren’t the only ones disappointed as we saw another table complaining as well. I’m truly shocked by the high Unilocal ratings!

Just change the damn name of the place and I think a lot more people will calm down. Here me out. «Del Frisco’s» is synonymous with«steakhouse». I guess I’m the idiot, because I quickly booked the reservation online and didn’t realize«Grille» was attached to the name. And especially because it’s New York City, I think people assume(yes, yes…“ass out of you & me” is from«assume) that they’re getting the entire MEAT&POTATOES, you know what I mean? If you’ve even been to a different Del Frisco’s, you would completely understand. There is NO comparing this place to the Philly location. None. Ambience here? What ambience? Me, my mother & my sister went to New York from Jersey to see Larry David’s play & it was on me because as usual no one could decide where to go. Because I was at Del Frisco’s in Philly before and obviously LOVED it there, I got real excited when I saw an open reservation & booked it right away. Well, the moment we walked in I thought „oops“. It was no big deal, honestly. We’re not foodies or snobs or food snobs or assholes and it WAS only lunch. And the lunch was good. I don’t remember what it was, nor did I take a pic because I’m not that type, I just go hard and EAT. I have no patience for that type of child’s play. But what I CAN say is that the alcoholic beverages were delicious, huge & made the 3 of us quite pleased! Our waiter was great, our service was great, the food was good, so overall the experience was GOOD. It’s just at „Del Frisco’s“ you expect AMAZING. I was mislead. I know I’m not the only one. After we were done our meal my sister called her husband. My brother-in-law whined to my sister on the phone,».but I wanted to be the first to take you to Del Frisco’s”. I laughed & yelled at the phone,“relax buddy, you’ll still be the first one taking her to DELFRISCO’S”.

This place was great. I came for lunch on a weekend and ate at the bar. We had a lovely view of the Rockefeller Christmas tree outside. We started with the cheesteak eggrolls– OMG. soo good. They are literally like cheeseteaks wrapped in a chinese eggroll with the typical chinese eggroll orange sauce– i know it sounds like those flavors don’t go together, but trust me. try it. then we split the steak salad which they were nice enough to split on two plates for us ahead of time– it was delicious. this is a great place for a somewhat more upscale lunch/dinner with a good atmosphere but don’t feel like shelling out all the $$ for the real Del Frisco’s deal.

Eh, for the wait and the service, it wasn’t really worth it honestly. I came here for lunch last week with my coworkers. We didn’t have a reservation and had to wait 1 hour for a table. That wasn’t surprising to me and I’m not going to hold that against them. It was the week between Christmas and New Year’s and NYC has a ton of tourists around that time. When we finally got seated, we were given menus. We just asked the waiter for waters and began to peruse the menu. I think our waiter was new because he kept waiting while we looked at the menus. It was a bit awkward. Anyway, we were ready to order within 5 minutes: we got the Roasted Tomato Flatbread to share for the table and I got the Burger with regular fries. That was pretty much the last time we saw the waiter. He didn’t come around to check up on us and he was impossible to find when we wanted our check. We waited for him for about 10 minutes, looking to see where he might be and trying to flag him down. Eventually, we gave up and asked someone else to get our check for us. That was when he showed up with the check. As for the food, the flatbread was disappointing. When I see«roasted tomato», I think of a nice sliced tomato on the flatbread. Instead, I get bland tomato paste. It wasn’t memorable and I don’t recommend getting it. As for the burger, it was good, but it wasn’t wait-for-an-hour good. It also apparently has more than your daily recommendation for sodium. So, drink lots of water! The fries were the best part of the meal. They were delicious. Overall, if there was no wait and I was starving, I’d come here. If you have to make a reservation or wait for a table, I wouldn’t recommend coming here. You could find better at the price.

Had a wonderful date night here with my boyfriend where we sat outside(in the middle of December). They are located right next to the Rockefeller Center tree, so you should for sure make reservations here if you’re planning to make a holiday trip. Romantically-lit, yet casual ambiance. Feels more upscale than your average restaurant but offers some great varieties of «bar food», kicked up a notch. The fried calamari appetizer is a must for anyone who likes spicy foods. They are breaded and tossed in a tangy and spicy sauce. They also are mixed with fried jalapeños, lending to the dishes surprise kick! The tuna tar tar tacos are good, but you can skip them, as I didn’t see anything too noteworthy with these. Another must is the cheesesteak spring roll appetizer. These were some of the tastiest bites of meat we’ve ever had. They were so great, we ordered a second round when we finished the first! Overall, a great place to try for a casual, yet more upscale experience.

Well let me start from the fact that at first we arrived to Del Frisco Steakhouse and then found out about Del Frisco Grill… Quite confusing… We had wings and calamari for appetizer, both were very good, wings were a bit spicy but very flavorful. I had ahi tuna entrée and it was ok, could of had more spicy sauce on a side… My hubby had ribeye steak, it was very good and White Sangria was delicious too. Oh and by the way they serve Moscow Mule in copper mugs and it tasted very authentic and delicious! 4 stars because of the hosted girl who was not welcomy at all :(

I used to work across 51st street from this spot, and since I was a fan of Del Frisco’s steakhouse, I was really excited about this place. We used to come here for business lunches, after work drinks, and work parties. I really enjoyed their Sandwiches and appetizers. Now it has been a few years since they moved in and I have since stopped working nearby, but I found myself at their bar again recently waiting for an old coworker to meet for drinks. We tried the signature vip, the white sangria, and the pomegranate margarita. All were good. The location is great. Just steps from Rockefeller center and radio city. But I had forgotten because of the location, the people can be a little much for my liking. It was overrun with tourists on my last visit, but between the Tree and the Christmas spectacular that was almost a given. I had forgotten about the sheer amount of self important entitled idiots that frequent this area. As I was minding my own business sitting at the bar, I had two of these guys descend on my location, try to crowd me out(not going to happen guys, I’m from around here,) brag about all the money they were making in real estate and finance(one was r.e. The other investments) and how their credit cards were better than other credit cards, then tip the bartender less than 10%. Sigh. The«douche baggery«is high here. Be wary, but don’t let it stop you from grabbing some lunch here.

Great food. Great cocktail menu. Great vibe. Highly recommend if you’re in the city. Cheesesteak egg rolls and fried calamari were the perfect pairing of surf n turf, appetizer style.

A more laid back version of the big brother, but more than holds its own. Burger is solid and the cuts of steak offered are fine, but the Grille really stands with their appetizers. From the calamari to the tuna tacos to the cheesesteak egg rolls, you can’t go wrong.

Cheesesteak egg rolls + Nutella bread pudding. Win + win. DISCLAIMER: This is Del Frisco’s GRILLE, which is different from Del Frisco’s. ‘Tis all. It gets a little loud too, so don’t bring your date here unless you’re trying to drown them out.

I came here for my sister’s birthday since we were in the mood for some steak. I must note first and foremost it was REALLY confusing because half of the party thought we were going to Del Frisco’s steakhouse, but really we were going to the grille. Make sure you know which one you are going to. Besides the confusion we started with the pizza and an order of ahi tuna tacos since we were starving. I must say the ahi tacos were super delicious in a crispy shell with spicy mayo on top, the pizza was pretty standard. Then for dinner we ordered the porterhouse for two which was SO delicious. I would recommend this. Also on the side the shaved brussle sprouts OMG i would come back just for these. The only thing I did not like was the salad we split. there was WAY too much dressing it was actually drowning. Last but not least for desert… the chocolate cake was really dry. This was really disappointing since I am a big fan of chocolate and dessert. I was in between giving this place three or four stars but i mean the steak was delicious, skip dessert and you will have a great time.

Came here for a weekday lunch. Decent food. Maybe I ordered the wrong things. — Ahi Tacos: Okay; comes with 4 — Shaved Brussel Sprout Flatbread: Good, feeds about 3 as an appetizer — Steakhouse Salad: Couple pieces of steak(probably around 4 oz)– not filling — Pan-Braised Wild Mushrooms: Good Nothing memorable. Most likely won’t come back.

3 ½ stars. Could be bit loud, depending on the area that you’re sitting at. Near the bar could seem like a sports bar, but towards the back it manages to pull off trendy/chic with moderate noise level. Overall, the experience was pleasant. Good steak, good wine, good company. Can’t go wrong.

I’ve become a huge fan of this place! My coworkers and I have come here for a team lunch a couple of times and everyone always loves it! They have a private room in the back with a round table that sits 10 – 12 people and it’s the perfect size for my team. Of course you have to start out with appetizers. The cheesesteak egg rolls are awesome and won’t disappoint. I’ve also had some of the flatbreads which were pretty good. For my entrée I’ve had the salmon with quinoa and shaved Brussel sprouts as the side. The salmon was simple, but cooked perfectly. I’ve also had the steak house salad which is everything you could ever want in a salad– perfectly cooked sliced steak, two deviled eggs, bacon, cheese, avocado, cherry tomatoes, and mixed greens. It actually had a little too much cheese and not enough avocado and lettuce for my personal preference, but still no complaints because the excellent steak piled on the salad makes this dish amazing. One day I will definitely have to save room for dessert! This place isn’t cheap with entrees ranging from $ 20 to $ 35 but that’s pretty standard in the area. It’s definitely worth a stop if you’re ever around Rockefeller Center!

My fav steak place in the city so far — the ribeye has always been on point, not too fatty and definitely never overcooked. When the waiters bring you the food, they ask you to cut into it to see if it’s cooked perfectly to your liking before they leave you to stuff your face. Order a medium-rare ribeye or a medium/medium-rare filet mignon and you can’t go wrong. Tried their asparagus and mushrooms sides and they were pretty good, but if you want to just be a carnivore for the night, feel free to skip those sides. Their salmon dish was also worth a mention — perfectly cooked, not oily or buttery. One of my favorite dishes on the menu. Their crème brûlée cheesecake — Light and fluffy cheesecake topped with a nice crunchy candied shell. It was delicious; however, the shell was definitely a bit more torched than it should have been — noticeable burnt taste when biting in. I also noticed that they didn’t provide a basket of bread at the beginning of the meal, but then again. that’s more room in my stomach for steak so maybe that was a good thing.

This is more like 3.5 stars really. I hate to be a douche but unfortunately when your price point is high customers end up expecting a whole lot more and rightfully so. This is the place I go when I want a burger around work. Yes the burger is delish, really is, just don’t get the blue cheese one because you’ll be asking for a side of beef with your blue cheese, it’s a bit out of control. I REALLY don’t want to get a shrimp cocktail and have it delivered to me on a flat plate with shrimp literally swimming in the cocktail sauce. Give me the chance to dip it myself, please!(picture uploaded of that!). AND if I am getting an appetizer, don’t bring my burger out when I just barely started it. Wait to fire that ticket because I am paying for this experience! The drinks are meh, would skip it next time. Choosing to pay $ 80+ for one person, you better play it right Del Frisco’s.

Wow talk about poppin. Seems this is the spot where the beauties and beasts frolic for some conversation and libations. There isn’t much of a waiting area besides the bar. On any given night of the week, tables are booked solid. I had a feeling it would be that way considering its location is central to all the holiday shopping. I made a reservation for 815pm. P. s. don’t order a soda. You get those little 8oz bottles and no refills. Yes I know this joint is fancy but dammit I want my unlimited sugar rush! I started off with the ahi tacos. Those were delicious. Fortunately my hubbs doesn’t eat fish so I gobbled all 4 of em up. We then each got the rib eye, medium rare of course. Our steaks were done well and quite tasty. He got mashed potatoes which I didn’t have. I was too busy oogling over the truffle Mac n cheese. It was off the chain delicious. On a non meat day, I would absolutely order the ahi tacos and truffle mac again. Oh they even sent me home with a full to go container of the Mac n cheese. That was the only stand-out factor about their services. Oh and I’m sad. No basket of bread to start? I suppose I don’t really need the carbs huh?
