I got a same day appointment. I did not wait more than 5 minutes before being seen.
I would recommend this doctor to my friends and family.
I found the doctor to be pleasant and soft spoken. I found out he was a student of my childhood eye doctor, who was excellent by the way. So I felt even better about having my eyes examined by this doctor.
The previous reviewer does not seem to understand that it is completely normal to go in and out of the exam room to allow for the various drops to take effect for proper eye examinations. Furthermore it is not that common for the ophthalmologist office to have a glasses/​contact shop in the office. Does your medical doctors office have a Rite Aid pharmacy within the premises? Thought not.
I also found the office assistant to be very nice.

Dr. Dalaveris’s location is oh so convenient, but unfortunately he is not my choice for regular eye doctor.
His demeanor is nice enough, but I found his examination equipment to be very lacking and looked like it was from the 90s at the latest. I went in feeling like I probably needed to update my prescription but felt so not confident in his examination that I ended up just asking him to renew my current prescription so nothing would get screwed up.
Also, he only has one examination room, but books multiple patients close together, so you are continuously sitting down only to get back up again and wait in the waiting room, then back to the examination room. It gets to be a lot of back-​and-​forth in one appointment — just not a great patient experience.
Another aspect I found inconvenient was that he does not fill contact lenses prescriptions onsite — you have to then take the prescription to a Cohen’s Optical or one of those stores to get it filled. He tried to spin this as a benefit because I could choose the best price, but a lot of eye care providers also provide this service at competitive pricing so that it is a one-​stop shop.
Overall, he was nice enough, but the patient experience and equipment could definitely could use improvement.
