Terrible customer service and shipping securities. My $ 100 order just disappeared. I never receive the order and I never got a phone notification about the delivery of this over $ 100 order. I call back to custom service and they said that they are not responsible for this shit anymore and they ask me to contact with the shipment company by myself. Then the USPS was just really hard to get in touch with, I spend a whole week to contact them and they just let me waiting. Now, couple months have passed. Nobody takes the responsibility for my package and I paid $ 100 dollar for nothing.

Pros: (+) Staff is super friendly (+) They have perks with every purchase Cons: (-) None. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This place is pretty small and can easily be missed. The fragrances of their lotions are long lasting and hydrating as well. I love their drawer liners and all the cute variety of things in their store. They have perks for every purchase you make plus nice samples.

This shop has fast become one of my favorites, from their drawer liners to the muscle soak. But why this store in particular, out of all the C&E’s? Well, besides it being a short walk from my office, the sales associates are super friendly, and I don’t find them pushy at all, rather informative and polite. They are not stingy with the samples, either. The two pretty, young girls were quick to make conversation with me while a tall, male associate ran«upstairs» to get samples of the Citron honey & coriander products which they had run out of at the cash register – mind you this is after they already gave me unsolicited samples for four of their other products. I’ve purchased multiple birthday, mother’s day and christmas gifts here, too. There’s something for everyone. I’m really loving the scent of the lotion from the Summer Hill collection I applied last, and am tempted to purchase.

My mother loves Nantucket Briar products. What can I say? She likes to smell like Connecticut in July. Having been made aware that I missed my mother’s birthday, I said to myself: «Self, what does mother like?» Then self said to me, «Self, mother likes Nantucket Briar products from Crabtree and Evelyn.» Cut to me in the Time Warner center Crabtree and Evelyn store. Not only were the workers helpful in giving me hints as to what a 50 year old woman might enjoy(for some reason, I simply cannot relate), but they wrapped up my mother’s new powder and bath soap in a nice ribbon. Certainly not cheap, but if your mother likes to feel like a WASP even though she’s not one, head to C&E. She won’t be disappointed. Even if it’s two weeks late.

meh. i only come into crabtree and evelyn when i need to get some lotion or soap for my grandma(seriously). by the way, i HATE vera bradley patterns. anyway, these little stores are always very snobby and i don’t understand why, it’s never crowded, so shouldn’t they be treating customers nicely instead of staring them down?(i don’t swathe myself in vera bradley summer prints). if i liked their lotions enough, i’d rather buy their stuff ONLINE to avoid this fake«boutique» experience.

Although this shop was tiny, the people that were working there were extremely helpful. Lot’s of sale items, for those that are looking for bargains, and many higher end bath and beauty supplies. All in all, I found what I was looking for, got some great help(and some sweet coupons), and considered it a trip well worth its time.

Recent visit to this location inside Time Warner Center which, disappointingly, to my discovery they discontinued carrying all Vera Bradley products. Crabtree & Evelyn now focuses on their core concept of lotions and beauty products.

This Crabtree & Evelyn store is in the Time Warner shopping center thingeemajigger. It kinda sucks. But only kinda. I guess. I’ve been accruing an insane number of miles on my American Airlines credit card, which means my Discover card has been woefully neglected. However, that doesn’t mean I’ve forgotten about my Discover card Cashback bonus scrilla(NTD: «scrilla» is West Coast for dollah dollah bills). And here we come to reason no. 1 C&E might not suck: they have a Cashback redemption policy through Discover where if you redeem $ 20, you get a $ 40 gift card. Not tooooo shabby. However, without that gift card, I will be the first to admit I would likely not step foot in this store. This… tiny store. Which brings me to another point — even though this store is about the size of my West Village living room(translation: SMALL), they had three sales associates manning the place. Three… rather…PUSHY sales associates, if you get my drift. I mean, there are only so many times(and so many WAYS) you can ask a person if they need help. I swear… I wish stores would get off the whole commission-based sales incentive thing because it makes me really pissy to have to say for the third time that«no, I don’t need help.» Maybe if they didn’t have so many(unnecessary?) sales associates, their prices wouldn’t be so… pricey. This C&E also has somewhere in the neighborhood of… oh…10,000 Vera Bradley bags. You know… the patterned bags that may as well have WASP scrawled across the side. I have NEVER understood their appeal. They just seem so… geriatric. However, speaking of geriatric, we get to reason no. 2 C&E might not suck: They carry rosewater-scented products. I know I know… last time I checked, my driver’s license didn’t indicate I was anywhere near the sexagenerian bracket, but yeah… confession: I kinda like that smell. It reminds me of this awesome massage… *ahem* Anyway, yeah… so when I saw the($ 12…WTF…Oust this is NOT) rosewater-scented room spray, I just kinda… had to get it. But really… these couple of redeeming factors are not location-specific. As such, I can’t really get over the fact that I doubt I’ll ever come back to THIS C&E(and instead will likely stick with their stand-alone stores on Madison Ave or in Rockefeller Center). That being said… as a general thing, I’m kind of shocked that this brand as a whole is still standing. So maybe they’re doing something right?
