If you like your sandwiches cheap, huge and ABSOLUTELY delicious — this is the place for you.(If you like them expensive and tiny, pick anywhere else in the neighborhood. Anywhere.) This is a take-out place, but as an extension of the big pizza joint next door, you can take your food in there and eat it. They started out serving breakfast, but expanded a couple of years ago to sandwiches, salads, soups and more. Sherry is the chef and she comes up with specials that you won’t find anywhere else, makes an herb mayo that oughta be bottled and sold separately, and she’s the only person I’ve ever known to make a JUICY turkey. And the soups — clearly making soup is her passion — creamy potato/corn/bacon chowder, or sweet potato w/rosemary? I don’t usually even like soup but I find myself ordering it at least twice a week. Today’s special salad is tomato/cucumber/red onion/avocado/carrots/apples/feta cheese… with an option to top it off with grilled chicken. One of the sandwich specials is broccoli rabe/eggplant/red onion/tomato/basil & fresh mozzarella. Or, if that’s too fancy for ya, there’s always a giant grilled cheese. Yum.

This is an extension of the Cotta-Benne Pizzeria on the corner. They serve soup, coffee, sandwiches and other assorted items. I had the grilled chicken with avocado, tomato and mayo! It was amazing! The coffee was really good as well. Even though it’s a walk up window to order you can go into the pizza place to eat. The service was awesome and they were fast. I will be back!
