Costigan Theresa

Theresa is the absolute best! I started seeing her over 10 years ago for issues with my neck after a car accident and surgery. She really saved me! Over the years I have gone to her for different things. She meets every issue with her same calm and caring demeanor.

I have been visiting her for about a year now to tackle both back and stomach issues, and she has been super helpful with both! I have been to other acupuncturists before (in other cities) and I can confirm she is very knowledgeable and her treatment super effective! Theresa also listens very carefully and adapts her session to what is the most concern.
I would advise anyone going there not just when issues arise, but also as a regular well-​being measure!

I have been a client of Theresa’s for about 3 years now — on and off, depending on my aches, pains and other issues. Put simply, she is the «cream of the crop» on every measure I can think of. Major stomach issue? Healed. Long-​standing shoulder and neck pain? Done; I no longer have to see her for this. Threw my back out? She took from a pain level of 10+ out of 10 to a 1 in just 2 consecutive treatments. On top of it all, she is about the nicest person you will ever meet in NYC — this profession as a caregiver and healer is truly her calling — with an excellent bedside manner. (What doctor or other healing professional follows up with you — on a weeknight or weekend! — to see how you’re doing???) I have recommended numerous people to her over these past few years, and all feel the same as I do. Theresa is a top-​notch acupuncturist and a wonderful person!

I couldn’t rave enough about Theresa. I’ve been seeing her regularly since February 2011, and she’s great.
She’s so professional and caring, and treats you like a real patient while documenting your symptoms and treating the associated points. I never feel rushed, and in fact, I usually do spend about 2 hours when I’m with her.
I’ve been going to her to help with tension headaches that I’ve had for years, and this is the only treatment that showed any signs of improvement.
Anyone who is interested in trying acupuncture should definitely see Theresa. She even takes insurance!
