Good flavor, good people, good atmosphere. Pricing isn’t too bad and it’s a good portion for your buck. Love the Flatbread and tomato basil

The tomato basil soup is a love of mine and consistently good. It is the reason I walk from Baruch on 25th all the way over. Whether you’re eating a soup, sandwich or salad Cosi is always good. Their salads are made to order and you can customize them which is great.

They want to be like Panera — but they are still far away from it. The taste of all the items I had was not great. Portions small. For the same price I get bigger portions at Hale and Hearty steps away. The tomato soup in cosi simply is the worst — beware of the tomatoes skin.

I don’t know how, but I’ve never managed to eat at Cosi. My first impression was that Cosi is a lot like Panera, a fast casual soup/salad/sandwich shop with other items sprinkled throughout the menu. The employees were friendly and helpful. They gave recommendations, let me sample soups and were just nice people in general. I ordered a chicken sandwich with spicy honey mustard and was underwhelmed. I wasn’t a fan of the flat bread. The star of the meal was the turkey chili, which I would definitely order again.

My goodness! Cosí is a great restaurant. They are unique in their own way. I went in for the first time with a friend and let me tell you that I was super impressed. Healthy? Check, originality? Chek, quickness? Check. I just can’t complain with the quickness and the taste of their food! They are a bit pricey for an everyday lunch but they do offer a great deal which is their 2/$ 8 meal. This includes your choice of half a sandwich, half a salad and a organic potato chip, now how cool is that? I ordered a chicken Caesar salad which completely blew my mind away! It had their own original sauce with their own original bread and the whole thing caught me of guard. It is a great effort in order to make them different from the rest of the healthy fast food joints. Moving on, the bread here is simply amazing! The sandwich I had was the Cosí special which was also a taste from heaven. All I can say is that this place sells amazing quality food!

This place is fan-tab-u-lous! Whenever I’m on the east coast I must have @COSI. They have a wide array of sandwiches. The sandwiches are all fresh and made on their famous stone oven fresh baked flatbread. My favorite is the Turkey & Brie(Turkey with slices of Brie and spicy honey mustard). That spicy honey mustard is not for the faint of heart. Trust me! Too much of it will clear your nostrils, LOL!!! They also serve breakfast, soups, salads and a decent selection of desserts. If you’ve never had the flat bread, try a free sample from the sample bowl that is at the front of the every location. The bread alone will have you coming back!!!

The bread is amazing OMG also love the signature salads and tbm melt(which is a melt of tomato, basil and mozzarella) really good also the magherita pizzas are good. Can’t go wrong with cosi as they offer some healthy alternatives to fast food. There is adequate seating but can be tight weekdays during lunch hours from 12−2pm.

The store is kind of cramped but the service here is really quick. There are separate lines for soups and salads, so that makes ordering easier. Try the tomato basil soup, it’s been my fave for a few years now!

Sandwitches — Melts — Bowls — Salads They market healthy food and the bread they make on the spot. I would say YES to both, my meal was healthy and the multi grain bread was good. Ohhh Ohhh and I had the Adobo Chicken with Avocado Bowl for $ 10.11. Solid lunch option for me and I will be back.

We went back to this Cosi after one year… And what a difference. Service has improved a lot quality as well the salads are spectacular this cosi will give hard time to Wendy’s, Starbucks, pretamanger and Le pain quotidien. We would like to see some improvement to the décor by putting white tiles to the wall like the smith’s has and boom cosi will start printing $$$$$$$

I got excited about the flat bread when I first started working in this area. But the taste of the sandwich is sometimes not great, not subtle. Anyway something kind of annoying happened today. I previously purchased the frequent card from Cosi. It’s like a debit that you just put value on and get 1 free meal for every 10 you buy with it. Today I brought my sandwich up then ask the girl to put $ 40 on the charge card, then charge my sandwich on there. She seemed really confused my request. So she called her supervisor over. And they fumbled for a while. When they were done, I realized that they put 49 on my debit card — they rang up the card and sandwich separately. Wtf… What’s the point of the charge card if I can’t charge my meal on it?! It’s just one time but still annoying. What she should’ve done was to cancel my sandwich, let me put $ 40 on the charge card, then put the cost it on the same card. The worst thing is that she didn’t comprehend she did it wrong — denied being dumb and not understanding my request… She acted like I didn’t know what I asked for. It’s not that hard to understand the point of a loyalty card is it??? Please train your employees.

Stopped in for breakfast since it was across the street from our hotel. I had a breakfast croissant and my hubby had their square bagel with cream cheese. Very simple breakfast items, not sure how you can mess that up. I enjoyed my croissant. It was soft and flaky and buttery, how it’s supposed to be. My husband liked his bagel. The café was clean enough and had nice decorations. However, the set up is abominable. It was quite a mess. It was the first time going in there and it wasn’t clear as to where I would get my food. I was told to stand in 3 different places to order. Not to mention, the employees would not look up from whatever they were doing to offer assistance. They literally had invisible blinders on in order to avoid customers. I was standing right in front of them, and they would avoid looking at me in the eye or looking up from their chore. All the employees have a sense of hating the job and not wanting to be there. After several minutes, I would say about 7, we finally placed or order and were sent to the cashier with a piece of paper to pay. At the cashier there were only 2 people in front of us and there were 2 cashiers. Yet we ended up waiting in line to pay for 5 minutes or so. The cashiers were super slow and dragging their feet. Not sure what takes so long to ring out. After, we were told to return to the counter to pick up our food. Again, we were not told where to go and it wasn’t specified anywhere in the restaurant. Some lady that worked there, looked like a manager or supervisor, barked at us and a couple other folks in the same boat that we were standing in the wrong place and told us to go somewhere else, again not specific. She seemed upset and annoyed we were standing in the wrong spot. Finally picked up our food about 5 minutes or so later. They didn’t even ask for the receipt to prove payment, so honestly you could probably get away with getting free food. Between ordering and paying and getting our food, it was a total of about 17 minutes or so. Considering this is a fast casual café, I would say it was super slow. Especially considering how few customers were in the café. The price was affordable. We ordered a bottle of water as well and it was all under $ 10. I don’t understand how they came up with their concept of ordering food and paying. It is total ridiculous and impractical and not very customer friendly. The employees were are terrible, miserable and rude. Considering I don’t live in New York, but travel there from time to time, I would never set foot in there again. However, if I lived in NYC, I wouldn’t go out of my way to go there but if I was DESPERATELY hungry and the place happened to be right next to me, I might step in due to the price and the food ultimately was good, nothing great. It would have to be a VERY desperate situation though. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Change your set up and all your employees at this location.

I have been to Cosi before and my experience was definitely better. The tuna melt I had was overstuffed. for me… thats a bit too much tuna. The layout of the place is a bit odd the registered are at the end of the line but in a T fashion and its a bit awkward. The place was very crowded, which made it hard to find a table. They usually offer the bread ends in a bowl, but they didn’t have that here.

The bread they make here is amazing! There was only one time that it wasn’t so great and that’s because there was a little bit too much salt on it, but that may not bother everyone. The salads are also very good. Everything tastes and looks fresh. I’ve never had wilted lettuce or anything that tastes like it went past it’s expiration date as I’ve had at other salad bars. The one downside is that it’s very expensive, but so is everything in this particular area in midtown. If you can avoid going during lunch hours then so so because the lines are ridiculous.

Went in to order a Korean BBQ Bowl today. The line had people moving in different directions and actually cutting me, though I figured that had more to do with the clientele than the restaurant. I let that one slide. I order my food and am told to go to a different line to pay, so I do. After I pay, I wait minute after minute to receive my food… Nothing. I eventually ask a manager for my bowl and she tries making it herself. She forgets the recipe and gives me the smallest portion possible. Annoying! She asks if I want bread, I tell her what I want, and she GIVESTHEBREADSHEGOTFORMETOANOTHERCUSTOMER. Another woman in line sees this and tells her to wait on me, so she finally did. Worst service I’ve experienced in midtown. That said, the food is excellent(other than the Korean BBQ Bowl). The bread is killer and almost makes up for my bad experience there.

I ordered the tomato basil soup… a soup they carry everyday and the girl serving me told me I could pay first and come back. I thought that was strange since its just soup… when I got back I saw her pulling the soup out of the microwave and she had to replace the lid because it melted in the microwave. And they served me day old bread!!!

I’ve only come here during off-times, but I’ve noticed how the layout of this store seems to be designed for claustrophobic clusterfucks during lunchtime, with the sandwich/soup/salad station all the way in the back and the cashier up front. The salads here are cheaper and tastier than Hale & Hearty next door, where before you know it, you’re plunking down $ 13 for a freaking salad. I like the Cobb salad here with extra tortilla chip strips strewn on top, plus a raspberry mojito lemonade. Service here can border on completely robotic, especially around 8 when they’re starting to clean up, but it seems like a nice and clean place to get some work finished. + one extra star for that crack-laced Cosi flatbread used for their sandwiches. I always want to ask for an extra piece. Delicious with salad or soup.

Good salads and amazing bread! Quite pricey for the amount given. Also, expect crowded seating during lunch and dinner hours — office people getting off work doesn’t make peaceful ambiance. Huge pro: free samples of bread in front!
