Great burger, cold beer. What’s not to like? Connolly’s has been on my to do list since the days of Black 47 playing there regularly. Timing was always a problem. They were on break, on tour, whatever so never quite made it. I was delighted to turn a corner last week when I was hungry in NY and there it was. Great service, the Half and Half I ordered was the perfect temperature and the burger was perfectly cooked. The prices are great and the ambience is super comfortable.

Cannot say enough good things about the bartender we had in our back section. She was Irish and had a great story for everything we talked about. I asked her to make a nice cocktail and she knocked it on the head! Enya really improved our experience!!! The appetizers were great as well, and the amount was great for value

Great Guinness, great bartenders, didn’t try the food but love the American Irish bar atmosphere, funky equipped with Irish employees.

We stumbled across Connolly’s on our first night in NYC. We stopped in for one drink and that was our spot for the three nights we were there. The bartender Allen was fantastic! He was friendly, fun and remembered our orders. He was very accommodating and ran the bar area efficiently. While we didn’t eat meals there, I would highly recommend it as a stop if you are looking for something casual, easy and something off the beaten path.

Lunch with my folks here was well worth the walk. Nothing amazing but the service is genuine and spot on. The lunch specials were great. I didn’t order from the traditional menu but have in the past. Everything I have ordered has been very good. Nice atmosphere. Always a good pick

I stopped in this afternoon with colleagues for a business lunch. Unfortunately, the waitress dropped the ball by not putting in someones entrée. By the time they finally brought it out everyone else’s food was cold… Disappointing… I had the«Greek Goddess» salad, and thought it was good, but think Connolly’s on 45th does it better. My colleague mentioned liking her salmon entrée. All in all, the service was lacking, which is I only gave it 2 stars. Our waitress was too busy filling trays of ketchup on the bar to check on us, refill our drinks or bring us our check(we had to request it). What can I say? I did not have high hopes for this place by any means– but certainly expected better.

NYC has a myriad of these Irish pubs all over and based on neighborhood they have the same look and feel. This is a typical midtown version. The drink is beer and the food is burgers /fish and chips, etc. The waitresses are always friendly and the atmosphere is calm, cool and collected. Honestly, if you blindfolded me and dropped me off at one of these, I could never tell you one from the other.

If I could rate a 3.5, I would. For bar atmosphere: I’d rate a 4. It’s your typical Irish pub. Busy, typical beers on tap, and a table available to squeeze in. Nothing special, but what I’d expect if I was in an ‘Irish bar mood’. For restaurant: I’m giving this a 3. Little on the menu, food was mediocre but service was pretty good. Not many choices on food options. Since it was Irish, prob should have opted for a traditional dish. But since I’m watching the waistline, I got the salmon. I think it’s swimming in my stomach, 4 hours later… Also had the spinach and artichoke dip which was so-so. Server was friendly, food came quickly. But definitely not a place I’d return if my stomach was calling for some fuel.

Was hungry for something hot and hardy on a cold evening after freezing atop Rockefeller Plaza for awhile. Connolly’s came up on a Unilocal search, and was also close to my hotel. I’m traveling solo, so I sat at the bar. The fellow tending bar was witty, fast, and very Irish(perhaps Scottish, I couldn’t tell). Got a local Brooklyn Lager and had the traditional bangers and mash. The lager had a good flavor, but the bangers and mash were fabulous. Can’t recall having the dish since I was in Dublin, but the sausage was tasty, and the onion gravy on the potatoes was good stuff. Quite filling and totally hit the spot. I wound up knocking over my 2nd glass of lager, but the bartender gave me a fresh pint on the house. The few folks at the bar seemed to be regulars unwinding after busy corporate days, but everyone was friendly and welcoming to an out of towner. Left with a full stomach, happy spirits, and great experience at this midtown pub. Definitely a keeper!

The family came her after the Macy’s Day parade and what a great find… the other great surprise the the Thanksgiving special they had on the menu. I know all my girls were a little bummed that we were traveling during the holiday and weren’t able to get the traditional holiday meal, but this pub didn’t fall short one bit in taste, flavor or portions. We really lucked out as soon as the parade was over we headed over and got right in… we had excellent service service and not one negative comment at all. It was a great place to warm up, grab a pint and enjoy family and some excellent food.

+ The. Best. Veggie burger. In midtown. + Anytime I’m craving a veggie burger, this is where I will come to get it. — Seating areas and wait-time not conducive to the usual midtown/quick lunch environment. — Pretty pricey, even for the area. It’s mainly a bar though, so I’m not having super high expectations about the inside when I decide to eat here. Also, all my waiters/tresses have had Irish accents so that was a fun plus. The positives outweigh the negatives for me so I continue to go back.

Imagined a bar jam packed with corporate frat boys and you have arrived at Connolly’s. The place isn’t that bad when it’s empty but once it’s crowd starts pouring in, be ready to scream at the bartender for your drink and tolerate beer being spilled on your back. I love a dive, love Irish bars but this place is just the worst of the two with the worst crowd you can surround yourself with. Plus the bartenders can be jerks too but with that clientele, so would I.

If the Fries taste good without ketchup, then you got yourself a winner. Could be applied to heavy make up users, but this here’s a food review and so… Service — Enjoyed It was a corporate farewell event, so we received the salad, appetizers, main course, and dessert. Environment — Classic and comforting. The Set-up for us was nice too. It looked tight but we all fit well in our comfy seats. Food — Delicious Cesar Salad, Chicken strips, Dinner rolls, Chicken Sandwich with fries, and held off on desert. We all annihilated the appetizers, Jalapeño poppers, spring roles, mozeralla sticks, chicken strips, and dinner rolls. The fries, Dinner rolls, and Chicken strips were awesome, seasoned and cooked well. I wanted my food well done, and got it that way.

This place was everything I could’ve asked for and more!!! I went here the other day to meet up with my uncle for lunch under his suggestion. I myself love the Irish pub atmosphere when it comes to restaurants. My philosophy for pubs: if all else fails fish and chips is always a fallback. The hostess was very kind and sat us right away. We sat in the table top section right by the bar and flat screen tvs. They had daily and regular lunch time specials. I ordered the burger special which came with 2 burger patties, lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado and grilled mushrooms with melted Swiss cheese. Oh and the best part was the sriracha mayo! All of this was served with steak fries for only $ 12.

Decent lunch, but nothing note worthy. Good spot for a happy hour or a pub drink. The place is very large, so it’s not difficult to find a seat. Service is so-so.

Standard midtown pub with two levels — bar and seating on both levels. Large choice of menu items and everything is standard pub fare. Everything here is fine, no issues and no standouts. Service for lunch was prompt & courteous. Good for business lunches or drinks after work.

Good atmosphere for groups! A very friendly staff. We had a work function after ~12 hours of meetings. Food was good. It looks like they have a fair amount of business.

I work overnights, so after the blizzard of 2015 that wasn’t, I needed a place to hang out while MetroNorth got going again. My buddy and I tried a couple of places, but they were closed. We both seemed to remember this place at the same time. It’s been years since I’ve been here, but I remembered having a good time. Thankfully they were open at 10 am. We ordered beers and watched tv. We were the only patrons for about an hour. It was nice. The bartender was very friendly and knew why we were there so early, thanks for not being judgmental. He poured us a huge shot of Jameson before we left. That one beat me up. I did make my train though. Next time I really want to try the food. It looks great. The beers are a bit expensive, but it’s midtown, so you should know that going in. The pints are $ 8 each.
