I cannot give CBST enough praise. Combine a welcoming, friendly congregation with two open-​minded, compassionate and knowledgeable Rabbis, and you have the perfect shul. Services range from Modern Orthodox to Reconstructionist to fit the needs and desires of a wide range of members, and a delicious nosh always completes the experience.
If you’re a member of the LGBT community, come and feel accepted by a loving faith community. If you’re NOT a member of the LGBT community, come. You’ll feel just as accepted in this wonderful group of people.

Burbank, CA
This is the LGBT go-​to shul in NYC. Fri night services are at the Chelsea location; Rosh Hashanah services at the Town Hall and Yom Kippur at the Javits Center. There is an Open Door initiative for the High Holy Days so everyone can worship. (But please make a donation to support this amazing congregation.) This year CBST is bringing 8 LGBT Israelis to observe Yom Kippur at the Javits Center following the murders at the LGBT center in Tel Aviv.
Rabbis Sharon Kleinbaum and Ayelet Cohen ably lead this diverse congregation with backgrounds ranging from Orthodox to Reconstructionist. Straight people welcomed. Growing children’s programming and a strong adult education program.
