Grabbed the cookie hybrid(‘eclipse’?) after the proprietor tried to get me to grab a coffee and even offered a cold brew sample. Place was empty, cookie was a dry, bad way to spend $ 3. Pastry $ 3.00 Total $ 3.00

Coffee and food are fine, but the employees need to put some care into their work or receive better training/management. Received the wrong order once again, and once again, the bagel was overly toasted to be completely inedible. They’re also almost always out of bacon in the morning.

My coworker and I ordered two midtown sandwiches and about 10 min after finishing them got horribly sick!!! Before that we both agreed that they were dry and pretty basic not worth the money for like two pathetic pieces of beef, but as we would soon find out that was the last of our problems with coffeed

I already feel like a regular after only 2 visits to this great coffee spot just outside of Times Square. They’ve got really great pastries, incredible cold brew coffee and the best service I’ve gotten in a coffee shop in recent memory in NYC. They also donate 10% of their profits to charity. What’s not to love? What a great addition to the neighborhood!

the first time I went to Coffeed on 40th street, I got an excellent cortado and some of the friendliest service I’ve had in NY. I’ve gone a number of times since for coffee and food, and honestly, I’ll never go back. The food isn’t bad, but on two of two occasions they were out of ingredients. And each time, the sandwich took aaaages. Then the coffee started getting bad. I’ve been enough times to get a free one on my loyalty card. Noone but the first barista knows what a cortado is. I get lattes, which is double the amount of milk. Most of the time, they at least tasted okay for lattes. Today, however, it was absolute garbage. The art was pretty enough, but that does not make it taste good. Thanks for the effort Coffeed, but there are too many alternatives.

I want to absolutely love this place soooo bad. I love their coffee and would definitely give it top ratings. The staff and baristas are also always very welcoming and super nice. One of the things that I love the most is the mission of what they stand for. Unfortunately, it definitely seems like management is lacking, someone that ensures that the«trains are running» and everything is of the upmost quality. You need a leader in order for this to work and I can sense and see that the staff working wants to provide the best customer service, but certain things are out of their control. For example, I was given a stale almond croissant this morning. Luckily, I had a bite of it as I was waiting for my coffee and immediately realized it wasn’t fresh. I asked the gentlemen behind the counter and they just looked at each other and gave me a refund. It’s great that the coffee is good and having a caring staff that puts customers first is a great foundation… BUT the ability to compliment this with fresh and good food is definitely needed. I work right across the street and I want this place to work!

Fine for coffee and snacks I guess but there are several better places to get a breakfast sandwich. I ordered an egg and cheese and got a cold yellow egg brick on an otherwise decent bagel with cheddar.

LOVETHISPLACE. They recently opened up across from my building — I was going up to 39⁄7 for my coffee. This coffee is great — medium roast or dark roast. The staff is the friendliest and always have a smile on their faces. I have not tried any of the pastries(on a diet), but they look very good as well. Don’t wait in line at S**R*U*KS — come here!

The friendliest little coffee shop in Manhattan — with good coffee and an admirable mission as well. I work in the New York Times building across the street from this location. One day I noticed this place had opened and I googled it from my desk. I was impressed with the charitable mission of the business and decided to give it a try my next day into work. The second I walked in — and this is during the morning rush — I was greeted by a friendly young lady who took the time to say hello, comment how cozy I looked bundled up in my winter wear, and share a story while she took my order. Down the bar, the gentleman who prepared my coffee cheerfully chatted with me as he worked. And the coffee was good! This place really brightened my day with their service — a pleasant departure from most Manhattan coffee shops. I’ll be back and suggest others give them a try also!
