Great spot, peddling nice brew, multiple registers despite the odd lack of lines when I pass(often), and Doughnut plant donuts and Colson pastries on offer.

It is fast, the staff is super friendly, and the location is nice so there is a small crowd but the line moves along. Wonderful donuts as well! Love the blueberry!

Best coffee in NYC. This area has a ton of coffee shops, but this is hand down the best and serves some of the best choice coffee in NYC. Great people and always a friendly cool vibe in the hip east village spot.

Stopped in here recently because I was prowling for new coffee shops in the area. I had a lunch meeting on St Marks, so I stumbled on Saints. Walking in I was greeted by a lovely space, a beautiful counter, and great window seating too. As I walked up to the counter, my work-work-work mind asked if they had wifi. Sadly, no we don’t. I hesitated. I chewed. I ground my teeth. How can I get any *work* done I thought. Then I said, you know what, let me have a cold brew! haha And all was fine. I ended up doing some creative writing while relaxing for a change instead of checking those darn emails. Moral of the story, cafes with no wifi are pretty awesome. And City of Saints has bangin’ cold brew!

Love this coffee, staff are super friendly and the service is quick. Usually order flat white or latte and it’s always spot on. Not my #1 but close to.

Wouldn’t go back, despite staying right next door. Their coffee is acceptable but menu is limited. The barista was very friendly with regulars in front of me but then acted like she was irritated by my very existence. She was highly unpleasant and curt with an obviously forced smile. She seemed irritated that I was a new customer who wasn’t familiar with their«process» and rolled her eyes when I seemed confused. Gross

I always get a latte anywhere I go(well, except for Philz). Not because I love it, but because then, as a former barista, I can judge how much care and effort they are putting into making the drinks. Since it wasn’t too busy, I got to witness the barista steaming the milk. She got everything down on point. First of all, holding the pitcher right, so she would know the right temperature. I closed my eyes, and the sound of steaming the milk was perfect: steam tip is not too deep or not too high in the milk, which resulted in a nice texture with zero unwanted bubbles. I don’t know how to describe my experience, it was very… therapeutic and satisfying to know she was doing everything perfectly. In other words, it was like watching a Latte Porn. You have my word that this barista is very experienced and/or knowledgeable. 4.5 stars instead of 5 because the atmosphere is not too comfy and welcoming. Very distant kind of vibe from the staff, but overall, recommended.

Amazing interior to be in. Love the outside seating also! People there are super chill and sweet. The lady looks like Mari(dancer) and my homie chris walks there too! The hot mocha was tasty, wasn’t too bitter and super pretty latte art. Def recommend ESP if you’re cold and want something warm u up and also tasty. The grape doughnut was delicious :0 its 3.75 $ but that’s cus its doughnut planets ! I got the mint ice drink which was super refreshing and I usually don’t finish drinks so its cool that I did. I sat outside waiting for my friend and it’s a nice place you can people watch HAHHA lots of students go by. Close to ippudo. And very hip. My friend is a regular here. Only thing is no wifi but good to get away from that and just read or ketchup with friend.

Here lies Doughnut Plant donuts where available. This is not the city where«Oh, when The Saints go marching in…» This is the Big Apple. Spacious setting without the narrowness or tight standing ledge space and large counter attached to the window/wall. Bottle water from Mountain Valley. I attained one cinnamon grape donut. Limited seating facing the direct sun from the window thus no restroom facility available. Attentive customer service. A small selection of mugs, tote bags, and novelty are available for sale. No business cards. I do not believe they have a loyalty rewards card available.

Good environment but not lot of seating space inside. The cold brew and the cappuccino are very good there. The place looks really clean and modern. Very please to have the chance to visit this coffee shop. P.s The place is small so don’t come with more than 2 parties. Unless you want to sit outside on the bench but the weather is either too Hot or Cold to sit outside.

I’ve been to so many coffee shops that at times it can take a lot for any particular spot to really make an impression on me. That being said, I was really impressed with City of Saints! Their special drinks, the iced lavender + agave latte and the iced mint matcha tea latte were phenomenal! They used good strong coffee for the lavender latte — I could’ve had even more lavender flavor, but I understand that many don’t care for floral notes. The mint matcha was on the sweeter, creamier side. While I do prefer a more bitter, less sweet matcha, I found the combination of flavors really pleasant. The drinks were also gorgeous to look at since they had a layered/gradient look. The interior is just as gorgeous as the drinks — very minimal. My only wish is that they would have more food options! Would love to return to try more drinks.

Recently I have been on a mission to find a good coffee place where Matcha is served. And I think I found it! Their mint iced matcha is so soothing and refreshing at the time so I want to drink it everyday. This place has not only great coffee(according my friend who ordered coffee) but has a very cool design, pleasant service and feeling to come back here.

A beautiful shop I’m so happy to have discovered. The chalk sign outside the store promoting it’s lavender agave brought me in. I ordered an iced lavender latte(2% milk) and it was to die for. Truly one of the best coffee drinks I’ve ever had… It was borderline dessert. Next time I’ll try it with whole milk like the barista suggested. The shop itself is very clean and reminded of the interior of shops in LA. It was quiet enough to do some reading and had bar stools lines up along the window.

One of those moments where I truly love Unilocal.Thank you for introducing me to this place. The staff are friendly, ambience is great and the coffee is the best I have had in New York yet. I even had a donut because everyone wrote about them in their reviews and it was delicious. They make flat whites that are just as good as the best ones I’ve had in Australia which makes me even more happy. I will be coming back here a lot.

Stumbled onto this place while in the neighborhood. I’m happy I did. My server was knowledgable and even let me test try a few of the different flavors. I chose the Kenyan iced coffee and my wife had an espresso. Both were fresh and delicious. Will be back!!!

My favorite coffee shop in Greenwich Village, or is it East Village since it’s East of 4th Ave? Excellent coffee they roast in Brooklyn. Baristas are friendly and very good at their job. I’ve never gotten anything other than their cappuccino, but it’s just the right amount of acidity and frothy sweetness for my palate. Doughnuts from Doughnut Plant are an indulgence. Sometimes they have gluten free vegan salted chocolate chip cookies(which are tasty, but the salt dries them out), and rarely have gluten free vegan peanut butter cookies — which are amazing. I end up here about 5 times a week. I should really just buy their beans and pick up some milk and make my own at home. But then I would miss those friendly baristas and their super cool under counter espresso machine.

Great, cozy and quite atmosphere. Fabulous latte. Whenever I go to a new shop I always get be latte to see if they pass the new shop passes my tests test, they passed! I sat for about an hour and a half reading my book and drinking my latte. The shop off to the side so not too much foot traffic in an out, when I went it was not crowded at all. The large windows are also a huge bonus! I can’t wait to go back.

Delicious soy latte coffee! Very friendly staff that are always happy and smiling. If they have the peanut butter and jelly donut, get it! Don’t wait. Don’t ask question! Just get it! You’re welcome.

Since my first review I’ve been a few more times. Yes, they don’t have wifi still. Some coffee shops are better left untouched by laptop lovers, don’t you think? Have tried the following: Clementine brownie(gf) — Indulgent, fudgy & decadent. The portion size is huge! Sometimes, I admit, I feel a bit sugar woozy. Ethiopian pour over– I usually like light roasts, but the barista convinced me to get this dark roast with fruity finish since I like to drink it black. Great recommendation. Tastes exactly like she described and is probably one of the most smooth yet flavorful roasts I’ve consumed. Clementine brown sugar blueberry bread(gf) — I’d pass. It was weirdly dry in some bites but moist in others, as gf treats usually are moist due to the oil. Almond milk cappuccino– Good amount of foam with a smooth and velvety finish. Increased rating due to its coffee. Recommendation to the business owner: Get handwritten(pretty) signs for your pastry display. I heard the barista explain the daily pastries at least ten times during my 20 min stay.

I almost missed this place without the little chalk sign outside its establishment. It seems like it was a storefront that was renovated into the steeled, glass paneled place that is City of Saints. The counter provides that earthly wood paneling that all these modern coffee shops are going for. Steel + wood + glass = class? I walked in to some Janet and ordered a very good iced coffee. It was cold brew actually and they’re serious about their coffee. The ingredients you place inside your cup are also pure of heart… agave syrup, simple syrup, little glass containers of sugars, raw and processed. No splenda or artificial nonsense here! I’m going back again and now I’ll find that little glass door in the white exterior walls of this building. Its slightly confusing the first time as the glass reflects and you can barely see it is a coffee shop but now that I’ve found you its on!
