My husband and I stayed at the Millennium Hilton so we ended up at the restaurant at the end of evening. The food was average but the dessert was delectable we had the cheesecake, the service is what made it for us. We had a wonderful server named David and he made our evening a wonderful experience full of laughs and stories.

David was the best thing goin for this place. We are all over the neighborhood and this gentleman was charming… This spot was in our hotel, that’s why we went at all. Not the best view or the best food. however this waiter made my birthday special… He was just what we needed, after a long day on the pushy streets of downtown. A genuine human. Burger was so-so., service was great… Hope ure listening Paris:… I’m sure she’s not

I wish I had read some reviews before eating there. For starters, the service was terrible. Our waiter never came to take our order; when a different waiter finally took pity on us, he didn’t let us know that they were out of almost everything on the menu. He then went on to sneeze on the silverware and handed us dirty plates. When the food finally came, it was subpar at best. Will not be returning there.

I realize this is a hotel restaurant, so they are there to primarily serve a captive audience. That being said, there is no reason to charge $ 23 for pancakes. We dined for 3 meals here, because it was the most convenient location considering we were only in town for an overnight business meeting. The roasted chicken dish I had for dinner was easily one of the best chicken dishes i’ve ever had. The savory bread pudding was questionable on the menu, but once i pair it with the sauce, and briny flavor of the olives, it worked great. Breakfast was standard, nothing really stood out, but nothing was bad either. For lunch i got the turkey burger with portobello, swiss & bacon. Again, another decent option, but didn’t «stand out» If you’re looking for convenience while staying at the Hilton or nearby, this is a good option. But don’t make a special trip.

Currently staying in the Millennium Hilton and decided to try the restaurant. I had the Mac & Five Cheeses, Grilled Asparagus, and French Fries. Aside from the fries being a little soggy, the meal was delicious.

Service was great! Went for an early bday celebration and everything was perfect! Reservation was for 8:30 and it was pretty empty in there which I didn’t mind. Although the menu seemed limited it’s Delish and worth a visit

First this was a good place for a business dinner. It was near Wall Street and City Hall as well as WTC. The service was excellent and we had a peaceful dinner, not rushed where we could all hear each other talk and complete business. Our starters were very good. And the dinner was fine. There are few places in the area for a decent business meal. At end of meal you could either go to the hotel room or back on public transportation and home.

We had $ 75 breakfast for 2 and $ 95 lunch for two, very expensive, but there’s nothing special about the food or the service or the décor. We had scrambled eggs with sausage and potatoes, very mediocre. $ 5 for each cup of coffee and $ 5 for a small glass of orange juice. Still nothing special. We waited a while to get served, i asked for white toast, I got rye instead, no big deal until I saw the check. For this much money, everything should be perfect and should be exceeding our expectations on taste & quality, but they failed miserably. I feel terrible that I wasted so much money.

I’ve had numerous ‘business breakfasts’ here over the years, and the food was excellent. Walked in for lunch this week, and it was empty. I stood for 10 minutes before being acknowledged. Then I was seated, after a water took an order for some soup and I waited for my colleague to come upstairs formt he lobby bar, I was approached by 4 different waiters, two of them took my menus when I said I was waiting for someone. It was just ridiculous and uncomfortable. So, the kicker was they don’t serve Alcohol in the restaurant during lunch. What??? They also don’t serve any bar food at the lobby bar. This is perplexing. On top of that, what I di order was plain jane bland, and about 80 bucks for squat. lunch, no breakfast, yes

It’s $ 27 for a Breakfast Buffet — for a slightly better version of a continental breakfast you would get at a nice Inn. I forgot I was at the Millennium Hilton.

First off, it’s a hotel restaurant, again in case it doesn’t sink in, it’s a hotel restaurant. I know you may be thinking, but it’s NYC and shouldn’t it be just top notch? Well, no. Let’s break it down, first it’s in a Hilton, second you’re in the financial district so it’s a business hotel. Okay, I thought I’d have a third thing, but I don’t. I’ve been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I’ve also been here alone and with my husband. In each case, the food has been consistently very good. They put out a respectable breakfast buffet, the fruit is always fresh and cold, and the oatmeal just the right temp. For lunch each time I’ve ordered a burger I get the medium rare that I’ve asked for, this last time I ordered the turkey sandwich, with bacon, brie, avocado and cranberry not only was it delicious it was huge, served with a field greens salad on the side I ended up taking half back to the hotel and had it for dinner the next evening. Oh I forgot to mention, the turkey was real turkey just like it was cut off the breast on Thanksgiving. The other thing I love about this place is that it is relaxing, I usually end up having a late lunch or a early dinner when I come here, so there is only a handful of tables filled up, and you can usually get a table by the window. I caution you here depending on how you feel about 9⁄11 because the windows face right over the site, you can see the memorial in the distance and the new WTC building in the forefront. Right now the construction is progressing a rapid pace and I think I counted eight cranes operating in the pit, what an amazing feat of coordination and skill, for a brief moment it looks chaotic, however if you watch for a while you realize it’s anything but that. Even if I’m not staying at the Hilton, and I don’t that often anymore I do stop here because I can count on a good meal and some time to take my system down a notch. BTW, on the other side of the restaurant are the restrooms, sometimes while in the area I’ve run up just to use those.

While staying at the Hilton we stopped in for breakfast before a long day of being completely touristy. We really really should have walked around the block and picked up a coffee and bagel to go. The breakfast selection was overpriced and the buffet was $ 27 a person. When you first sit down beware the server who offers coffee and juice — when you flip open your menu you’ll see that basic orange juice in a small glass just cost you $ 6. We ordered the huevos rancheros and while not bad certainly weren’t anything memorable. The service was awful, beyond awful. I unfortunately was seated facing the wall therefore missing the heated argument between our server and another at their serving stand. Our server stopped by twice — to take our order, deliver it an ungodly amount of time later, and when we were long done we flagged him down for our check. He wasn’t in the least bit friendly or even polite. I wouldn’t venture in there again or suggest it to anyone. It was by far the worst breakfast I’ve had at a hotel restaurant.

Ate here twice during my recent stay at the Millenium Hilton. The restaurant is located on the third floor of the Hilton. There is also a nice bar in the restaurant. First time — had dinner, sat at the bar. Ordered their Churrasco Skirt Steak — medium well, which comes with three very large potato wedges with a nice crunchy coating, and some lightly charred, halved Brussel Sprouts, served with a side of some sort of Ailoi — plus a glass of water with a wedge of lemon — and a glass of Brooklyn Pilsner. The steak was pretty tasty — although I would have preferred it to be a bit more well done. The potato wedges and the Brussel Sprouts were darn good! I love Brussel Sprouts and have never experienced them prepared in this fashion. I lightly dipped Aioli on the steak, potato wedges, and Brussel Sprouts. Beer was enjoyable — I am not a fan of Pilsners per say, but I do get a kick out of trying locally brewed beers. Ambiance was nice during dinner, some old-school Coltrane-ish jazz was playing low in the background, Second time — I had breakfast. I opted for a light, healthy breakfast — a bowl of Special-K cereal, with chunks of strawberries and large blueberries, served with Skim Milk, and a cup of coffee. The fruit was fresh and tasty! Good light breakfast and strong coffee! If I had only eaten dinner here, I’d probably up the rating to four stars, however, the price I was charged for a bowl of cereal and a cup of coffee seemed steep. I guess it is to be expected for a hotel in New York City. With tip: $ 16.33 for breakfast. Cons: — The bar has no beer chiller — thus you won’t get a chilled glass for your beer — I asked! — The milk served in my bowl of cereal was not as cold as I thought milk should be! Service was decent.

If we werent trying to kill time, i dont think we ever would have eaten here… NYC needs to stop referring to themselves as «the city that never sleeps» to «everything here is damn expensive and small» — Coffee $ 5 — nasty diluted american coffee poured into a tiny small mug — there was a starbucks located right outside, a tall would have been more than here… since i didnt know at the time, i wasted a good $ 5 on this crap. — OJ $ 6(small glass, not even a tall glass) — i heard it was pretty nasty, they had to down the drink so that their $ 6 bucks didnt go to waste. — Omelette with only 2 toppings and some hash browns– $ 20(HALF the size of a dennys omelette) 2 of us shared one thinking it would be enough… WRONG! — NY Bagel $ 7(i didnt see anything new york about it) To top that off, add in 18% gratuity and the bill was about $ 130 just for breakfast that most of us shared… for sure we never went back there again…

Before dinner, we wanted an afternoon cocktail so we stopped by the hotel bar, Church & Dey. A quiet little retreat from the hustle and bustle of New York, they serve a nice variety of martinis, cocktails or whatever tickles your fancy. I enjoyed a Bloody Mary while hubby had a Dirty Martini. May I add, both were delicious! A nice little pit stop before heading out into the city.

We were here basically to meet friends, and ended up having dinner. Service was lackluster. Waiters seemed almost surprised that we wanted to see a menu. Food was good but not outstanding. Waiters seemed mostly distracted by more important things. I think the most interesting thing about Church & Dey is the outstanding view, from some tables, of Ground Zero. I am not sure you can get a better view.
