My first experience here occurred right before they closed temporarily for renovation, so it’s my only experience here so far… but the experience was very positive & I look forward to going back in the future after they reopen sometime in Sept. I went to Grand Central to do some shopping & as this store is right off the subway station, the window display naturally caught my eye. I didn’t even notice any of the«Renovation» signs. Since I recently made a jewelry purchase elsewhere, I only went in to look, but I came out with 3 rings that I highly admired. I spent quite a lot more than I really should have, but I love the items & am happy to have them, no regrets. The sales lady(Shashi) was VERY friendly & super helpful in finding a way to finance the 3 rings all at once, as I had found that I’d recently maxxed out my 2 existing credit cards without realizing how quickly $$ adds up. She told me I could open a new credit card acct through the store right there on the spot, which I agreed to, & with subsequent cash pymt of the balance on my 3rd ring(which the new acct couldn’t cover) on the next day while they were packing down the store for renovations, I was able to have all 3 rings in my possession without waiting until their Fall reopening. I shouldn’t have bought anything actually, but I’m really happy to have them — they’re rings that I couldn’t find anywhere else(so far) in as good a quality as these at the reasonable prices I was quoted. Shashi was immediately able to give me the details of each ring(diamond quality, stone & ring sizes, gold karat) that I asked about & I admired many other beautiful rings I wished I could have besides the ones I bought. She even let me use the store’s 20X loupe to examine the rings myself — I want to know what I’m getting before giving my $$ away. While I have to work to pay off the bills in the meantime, the rings always put a smile on my face when I wear them. I’m thrilled to have found ring styles that I’ve always wanted but have been HTF, especially petite ones. With this spur-of-the-moment purchase, the sales staff also threw in gifts of a Chan Luu bracelet(I googled the the type I was given — $ 75 on the Chan Luu website & $ 35 elsewhere online) &2 jewelry cleaning pens, which I’ve started using & works really great. I saw last wk that they actually have closed for renovation, so they were telling the truth(sometimes businesses use such types of claims as sales tactics, but not here). I’m getting a good sense that they have a fine reputation of exceptional service provided here. I asked many questions(some repetitive) & took time thinking things through(I was the last one out at closing) & they were consistently very patient & always informative. I appreciate that they were interested in making a sale without being at all pushy or aggressive. I’m looking forward to going back when they reopen(& after I’ve paid off my dues) — I’m interested in knowing if the petite eternity ring I bought is available in yellow or rose gold as well(hope so). Mmm, sorry for the long review. Too many details apparently… but helpful, I hope.

Purchased a piece from them March 14th. Charged me for same March 15th. Allegedly shipped piece to my address that day. Still waiting. After numerous calls and inquiries, now the piece is at the post office. They claim the USPS attempted delivery but no one was home. Never saw a note on my door and there is always someone at home. When someone finally called back to let me know what was going on more than 12 days later, they were extremly ride and belligerent. They never provided me with copy of the receipt or tracking information until I asked to receive a credit. Sad that a store that has such a great collection could have such baaaaaaad customer service.
