AWFUL. DONOTORDERDELIVERY. I placed my order at 10:45 and it was expected to take an hour at most. It arrived at 12:30 with a teaspoon of dressing on it. When I called the restaurant the woman I spoke to assured me extra dressing was on the way. It’s been over an hour and still no dressing. I’ve ordered from the downtown Chop’t locations and experienced similar problems with delivery. Chop’t– your company is growing too quickly for your own good. You will not be getting another penny from me. New York Unilocalers– check out Sweetgreen and Fresh N Co. Or the greens in Central Park! You’d have a better experience, I assure you.

When you work in Times Square, a cheap and satisfying lunch is tough to find. Chop’t, while is satisfying because you literally pick and choose what you want to eat, in this location is chaotic and overcrowded, taking away from your lunchtime experience. There is always a line wrapped throughout the store when you enter and the staff rushes you to place your order so be sure to know what you want! The salads are no different(at least to me) compared to other Chop’t locations, I just dislike the anxiety this location brings me.

Quick service on delicious salads. Everything you need to create your own or choose from one of the many predesigned salads they’ve got to offer. Prices are good and the quality is nice. This location unfortunately has bad service. Limited interaction and no questions asked. Just made the salad and rang me up. I would expect this during a busy lunch hour, but there were only 4 people in the store. In the end my salad wasn’t even chopped… which I thought was a given due to the name. For next time I guess I’ll know to ask for that.

Just ordered a salad through seamless. And it was swimming in dressing. It was disgusting. I don’t know what these people were thinking. I am never ordering again from this place. There was more dressing than salad.

Worst delivery service ever! I would place my order by 11am thinking it’s giving these people more then enough time to get my order out. Nope. They run 1 ½– 2 hours late. Today is the first time I’m ordering from them in months. Now I remember why I stopped. Every time I call to check on it I get«it just left» or «let me call the driver to check on it for you» The food is always fresh and tasty, but with the delivery service as terrible as it is, it’s just not worth it.

They’ve gotten way better. We love their salads and wraps for lunch and now their service as well.

I’m so bummed! Chop’t has changed their«bread.» Their previous bread, which I believe was the wrap tortilla cut into pieces, has been traded out for a much heavier and far less tasty piece of pita. Blech. It made me realize how much better the bread made the salad.

Long lines during lunch time in midtown are a given so this place is a-okay! Order ahead for pick up and skip the line, but you may have issues with your salad :( It’s a filling salad especially if you get protein, and they have a lot of topping choices. If you’re super indecisive like me you can get one of the already chosen salads that have a preset mix of ingredients. It’s nothing special but it helps satisfy a salad craving(SORRY I GETTHESEOKAY!?)

They switched the bread!!! And it’s so gross! That was the only joy I had when I would have a salad @ Chopt!!! What happened?

Not a fan of this location — the line is really long around noon/lunchtime, it forms a little snake inside the store. Also, the guy making the salad added too much dressing, drenching the whole salad! The salads are overpriced, though they are tasty.

This was an extremely average salad. For the price and the speed with which you can get through the line, it was a good option for a healthy lunch, but, overall, I would recommend trying one of the organic restaurants or smaller café options. They will offer fresher tasting protein options, more variety(ie. not just salads), and better bread/sandwich options. If you are ordering through Seamless, they do a fantastic job with accuracy, speed, and relative price. For this location, I would definitely recommend ordering to go through Seamless or planning to eat outside in Bryant Park, because there is very limited seating in this location.

I wanted a light dinner so I decided to try this salad spot. Though I liked the idea of the personalized salad, my salad was too chopped– if that’s even possible. I like spinach salads, so naturally I ventured toward a spinach based salad, which I added garbanzo beans, corn, cucumber, avocado and boiled egg to. I picked Asian dressing(the 5 spice one) which wasn’t that yummy and the guy who was chopping my salad chopped it a little too much– I felt like I was eating mush, not a salad. I was a little disappointed with this place. On the bright side, the employees shirts are really cool-very stylish!

I ordered from here through Grubhub at 11:43AM. The estimate given to me for delivery time was 12:25 — 12:35. At 12:46, I called, explained the situation and was told that the wait time was 90 minutes. I explained that Grubhub had quoted me an earlier time and asked for an update on my order. I heard, «hold please,» and didn’t even have a chance to reply before being placed on hold. No one ever came back. I hung up and called again at 12:50. No answer. Tried again at 12:51 and got someone on the line who continually called me by the wrong name and wouldn’t listen when I tried to correct her. After being placed on hold AGAIN, I was told the salad was out for delivery already. At 1:28, the salad had still not arrived. I lodged an online complaint with Grubhub. At 1:36, I requested a refund. At 1:43, which was exactly the 2-HOUR mark, I called Grubhub and complained over the phone. During that call, Grubhub reached out to Chop’t and inquired about my food. At that point, they told me my food should arrive within 10 minutes. Grubhub gave me a credit to apply to a future order. When I hung up with Grubhub, it was 1:48. My salad arrived at 2:05PM, 2 hours and 22 minutes after I placed my order. Given the long wait and poor customer service, I will never give my business to this establishment again.

I just want to say that I have been eating at Chop’t for a while now and at a native New Yorker it is my go-to salad spot when I feel like spending more than $ 10 on lunch. I have also been to a couple of locations by now but I had to write a review about this one! Back in early February when it was really cold snowy and gross I ordered a salad to be delivered. I have gotten the delivery before and had never had a problem. Well this time is took almost 2 hours to get to me and my office is only a couple blocks away. I called and spoke to the manager Leticia and she was so nice and apologetic. She offered my next salad to be free because it was kind of ridiculous she had to call the delivery guy even. I am not the type of person to make a big deal but the next time I went into Chop’t I said hi to her and she was so nice! She really cared about the customer and I could tell she wasn’t just doing it to make me go away either. I have always loved the salads and it’s hard to have someone make your day during the week. LETICIA should be employee of the month! So kind, nice, and understanding. Thanks Chop’t for hiring such a friendly staff! :)

This place has nice salads, premium toppings, and a wide selection of nifty-sounding dressings, but it’s just not worth the agony of the lunchtime rush. The line regularly snakes around inside the store and out the door. Try to beat that by ordering online and you are told to wait 30 – 35 minutes. Comply with the wait time, and then go to the store. Fight your way past the crowd to the registers in the back and wait in line with customers trying to pay. You finally reach the register and give your name to the cashier, who then prints out a receipt and takes it to the kitchen. I believe this is when they actually start preparing your salad. So why bother with ordering online? You can’t mix 5 ingredients together and have it ready within 30 minutes? Order online, wait 30 minutes, then wait 10 more minutes after going to pick up your salad.

Kind of expensive but you are getting a lot of food! I love that this chop’t actually has 3 sections to sit in which is a big plus. When getting lunch in the city it’s rare that they have more than just a handful of tables squished in the back. It is best to come before 12 or after 2:30ish if you want to beat the insanely LONG lines. They are pretty fast and I think the hold up in when people are ordering and they don’t know what they want. This place has an insane amount of topping to pick for your salad, classic toppings you expect on a salad as well as some fun new things. I would recommend checking out their menu online before you go so you know exactly what you want(they do have the menu posted on the wall too so you can check it out as you wait, but I personally love having my meal planned out when I walk in the door anywhere) I know they have sandwiches as well, but I never ordered one before. Also if you are not in the mood to pick your own toppings and creative your own custom salad/sandwich they have a «classics» menu to choose from. Not only do they have lots of toppings but they have so many dressings to pick from and if you ask they will offer you a sample if your unsure about which you want. Like I said they are pretty expensive, I went with my sister and it was $ 22 for 2 salads. But I love the place and will for sure be going back!

Anytime I’m in NYC for work, I always make it a point to stop in to Chop’t for lunch or dinner. Though the line can be extremely long, especially during the lunch time rush, it is well worth the wait(and the line usually moves relatively quickly). My go to order is the Mexicali Vegan with chicken and the Mexican goddess dressing. The salad has just the right amount of kick to it due to the jalapeños. The portion size is just right for lunch and it makes for a healthy but delicious meal! All for around $ 10, which is reasonable considering NYC prices. I’ve been tempted to try another salad option, but this one always hits the right spot! I usually frequent the Broadway location and have never been disappointed with my salad.

You can really only write so many reviews for a chain you frequent, so here’s the quick and dirty: Close to the subway and Penn Station, so it’s a great last minute stop before heading home or out of town. Ingredients are fresh, seasonal, and sustainably sourced. If you’re not getting a super caloric-heavy salad(meats and cheeses) go ahead and order the dressing they recommend on the board instead of trying to go lighter by getting their«Spa» version. I always have terrible luck with the Spa dressings, finding them pretty bland, and am consistently bummed out when I get a salad with one. Most of the time I find I need salt and pepper on their salads as well, so ask when you’re on the line or remember to grab some on the way out. The menu rotates seasonally and I’ve really enjoyed all the different combos I’ve tried. This is definitely a good place to explore the menu and try something new every time!
