Pork with garlic sauce over rice($ 7) and dumplings($ 3) made for a hearty meal. Pork was served over a shit load of rice. Dumpling skins were a bit overdone but that is to be expected from an operation that does not specifically focus on dumplings. It wasn’t perfect but for the price I can’t complain. In this case, I discarded the remaining rice after my meal. If i were better organized, I would take the rice home and make fried rice afterward. It was fairly well cooked rice which is more than I can say for some real, sit-down Chinese restaurants.

I love this unsung little hero of the Fidi truck scene. For under $ 10, you can fulfill your midday nutritional needs served with a big smile and no need to chase the truck around town. He reliably there every day, braving the toughest weather. The duck is my favorite, consistently meaty(just enough bone for authenticity) with solid BBQ flavor. Amazing the degree he can customize your order given the lean and mean menu and ingredient list. As far as carts(or even local Chinese options) goes prett health conscious. Meat noodle soup always has a healthy mix of lean meat and veggies, not overloaded with salt. Twice I caught the neighboring carts begging for rice: «dude, I ran out!»(likely story…). I used to be obsessed with«sesame noodles» until I convinced myself I was a Chinese food snob and deemed the dish«for amateurs.» Chopstix’s version got me back on board. When coworkers ask me where to go for dumplings I always say«Flushing… but since it will take you twice your lunch break to get there and back, Chopstix.»

Is this even Chinese? Ordered the shredded pork over rice and dumplings. The dumplings are passable, but based on the shredded pork, I’ll never order here again. Another lunch mistake chalked up to being in a rush due to the rain.
