Chez Andre

Wow I’m first!
Chez Andre is the basement lounge/​club in the East Village version of the Standard Hotel. It’s sleek, has an underground feel to it, and if you like Andre Saraiva’s décor at other spots (Le Bain, Le Baron) then you will like this one as well. It’s like a bar meets a fun house or something.
I came here a bit ago for an event that I was on the list for, so I wasn’t really worried about getting in. The décor is crazy, and there’s a nice little mini stage which worked for the performance I saw (which was Chrysta Bell, who was awesome). Drinks are in the Le Bain price range, but the space is NOT very big. I’m not sure if they use it for regular club nights yet but they have events there every so often so you could stop by and check it out.
