This is the best deli ever. You will never get better service or better consistency food anywhere else. Be sure to try a breakfast sandwich which is made fresh while you wait and extremely quick. The coffee is also excellent and there is always a fresh pot no matter what time you visit. On top of it all Charlie and Jean are the friendliest people you will ever meet.

Absolute classic as far as corner delis go. Quintessential New York, good spot for a quick sandwich or snack on the way to the train.

Charlie & Frank’s Deli Grocery is a family owned business and I have to say the husband and wife are the nicest people ever! They always greet me with a smile, even at 7am.
Conveniently located right by the LIRR (eastbound) douglaston station. They make some delicious breakfast sandwiches. Coffee is terrible!!! You have been warned. Its self serve and it always tastes old… not a fan. They also make some great cold cut sandwiches. Charlie carries everything from cigarettes, beer, chips, lotto tickets etc. There is absolutely nothing to do in Douglaston, but I’m glad I have a good deli just a few blocks away from home.
