This is an old school pizza place, nothing fancy, and does not scream«we strive to be the next Grimaldi’s or Lombardi’s»; so with that said — their grandma slice is pretty darn good! The sauce, tomatoes and cheese ratio is perfect, and the crust is not too thin or overly thick with bread.(Sometimes they even surprise u with fresh basil!) They have a good selection of pizzas, cook pasta, heroes and salads(which is a total skip! Had chicken caesar and Greek salad at our staff meeting, not the best, plain as Jane!). Are there better pizza places? Of course! But around here… This is it! This location is more of a take-out vs. eat-in; good news is they plan on opening a new location right off 8th Ave &27th St, with table dining — should be soon! Service is more like indifferent, just like any fast food type eatery, so that’s a wash.(Looking forward to the dining service!) Ok — about the value… keep in mind it’s Manhattan prices, 2 grandma slices will cost you $ 5.99, I personally think that’s not crazy expensive; especially in this Chelsea hood. A salad sets you back $ 10 around here. Is it worth the $ 5.99, you bet! Is it gonna change your life? Nope… But your tummy will be full! Happy feasting my fellow Unilocalers!

I just got charged $ 9.36 for the slices of pizza. Not fancy slices, mind you. One plain, one pepperoni, and one Sicilian. I felt a little ripped off and looked around for a price list only to realize there isn’t one. I sucked it up as my kids were hungry. I went to buy a bottle of water, and she quoted me a price of $ 2.32! I told her that was ridiculous, and she immediately laughed a though she’d made an error and said«sorry, that’s $ 1.32.» SO– the pizza was good. The space is cramped. But the prices that they invent will keep me from ever returning.

Unassuming, Delicious, Hits the Spot! My friend and I were famished, took the chance with this place because it doesn’t look impressive, I had the Ziti Pizza Slice and she had the Chicken Calzone. We ate them both — still had some left over and I know it was good because the next day I ate it and it still was delicious! We also got the fried dough puffs and the server smiled at us and dumped a ton of powdered sugar on them for us. Hiiighly recommended. I’m excited to come back.

Nasty sexist owner… cashier sold me a pizza and a snapple, and some guys cut me online… so I handed her my card and she was like… youre gonna have to wait… then my snapple falls off the counter. I helped pickup some of it, so she came out with the broom. Told her I was sorry. I Was waiting on line to pay and her manager came out… my pizza was getting cold… she took a buch of guys who cut me before me again and didn’t offer me a replacement snapple. I looked at the manager and said«my snapple fell, do I get another one???» He told me if I can get a new one if I go behind the counter and get one… I was like, wow. Forget it. I said«forget the drink then, just getting the pizza.» I guess the cashier felt bad so she apologized and said«ill get you one on the house.» I sat down and heard manager complain about how crazy I am. Nasty.

This was near my hotel in Chelsea and I stopped in. I had both the pasta pizza and the bbq chicken pizza. The bbq pizza was fab and the pasta pizza was good and something I hadn’t tried before. Would go back in a minute.

Over priced for a slice with only tomatoes & basil… and by the time I got to my office which is only a block away the pizza slice fell apart with a soggy crust. And the dude behind the counter is as nasty as ever. I haven’t been to this pizza shop in like 2 years and now I remember why I haven’t returned until today. I won’t be back…

I don’t really like writing negative reviews for places I do go to once in a while, but the only reason I keep coming back is that it is near where I work and the food is Better than the 1 $ pizza and yet still not super expensive. But the they are a bit shady when they serve you. You see a fresh pie come out, you ask for it and then they go tell you to pay and then give you the old pizza. So now I am careful when I order it. Also I find them a bit lazy here. Although I always see the same people working so I hope the owner is being honest and giving their employees reasonable pay and not over working them.

Stopped here because it’s close the Megabus drop off location by FIT. Service was quick, got a pepperoni & grandma slice. It came to $ 7.35 so I’m not exactly excited about paying that much for a couple slices but whatever, it’s NYC. As for the pizza, they were tasty. The sauce on the grandma slice was a little sweeter than expected. Would probably come back here if I had to.

I saw a sign that said«pizzeria» while walking to my hotel in seven degree weather and decided to stop in for a beer and a slice. I got what I was looking for-two Peronis and a slice of pizza with mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes and goat cheese-for $ 15. They weren’t especially friendly, and the pizza wasn’t exceptional. But it was tasty and a perfect escape from a freezing night.

I ordered from this place based on the recommendation from the hotel that I’m staying at. It was deliver quickly and was hot and cheesy but the sauce didn’t have any flavor at all. It filled me up but I probably wouldn’t order from them again.

The pizza here is phenomenal. We came here around 2am on new years eve and they were packed. Some customers were very rude to the workers, who were clearly understaffed, but doing their best. The pizza took a while to be made, but the workers were beyond pleasant, friendly, and apologetic for the wait time. The pizza was so amazing. We came back two days later for another pizza. We got a cheese pizza with fresh garlic on it. But apon learning the garlic was an extra $ 3, we just got a cheese the next time. The crust was thin and crispy, the cheese wasn’t oily, the sauce was sweet, it was perfect. We will definitely be back on our next trip to the city!

Horrible service. They told me that they didn’t have plain but it came out as soon as I was paying since I had to end up getting pepperoni. All they had to tell me was wait a few minutes for the plain instead of just trying to get me out of the restaurant as soon as possible. The pizza turned out to not even been that good. The sauce was bland, barely any flavor to it, no spices, nothing. Seriously nothing special and so overpriced. You’re better off going to the $ 1 pizza place across the street on the corner of 27th and 7th between 6th and 7th. Now that has flavor.

classic ny pizza. slice is as big as my face. crust is paper thin & fully loaded with satisfying topping. as for vegetarian, my(oyster) mushroom pizza & veg were fresh and tasted good.(read: not stale nor soggy) staff was friendly & service super fast. not bad coming off a Megabus. as for interior, it is warm. no complaint for winter!

The unheated pizza didnt look too great. so we opted for the zepoles. For all you value eaters looking for a sweet treat… this was the best treat Ive ever had in my 2 years in manhattan. The zepoles actually looked appetizing from sight. Make sure there is a heap full of them atill in the pan. so you know they are semi new. They heat your 5 large sized zepoles in the oven for 3 minutes… and put a heapful of powdered sugar in a paper bag. add the hot zepoles and shake. like a shake and bake. It ends up perfect… crispy on the outside. a little undercooked doughyness on the inside. Then the powder adheres with little goeyness. Its an outrageously decadent and devilish snack/meal/dessert for only $ 1. Must try this and forget about the pizza.

JUSTGETTHEGRANDMASLICE&SHUTUP! Their sauce is so sweet it’s delicious. & their dough is cooked to the T. One of the best pizzas I’ve had in Chelsea besides Tappos. The pizza service is lightning fast, the space of the place however sucks! Always so hot in there but take it and go!

Not the best for NY… Actually one of the worst pizzas of NY. Over priced… $ 14 for 3 slices. Tastes like the pizza was made yesterday… It may look good but don’t let it fool you. Would not come here again.

Came here after a Unilocal Elite event many moons ago and split a chicken roll with a friend. We were hungry, but not starving and this neighborhood doesn’t exactly have a plethora of options that are super close to the train… Even though I noticed Unilocal reviews for this place were polarizing and mostly negative, I went for it because A.) it was the closest pizza spot when I searched on my Unilocal app and B.) upon entering the staff was friendly and the food didn’t look too bad. Our chicken roll was warm, flavorful and a great ratio of chicken, cheese and sauce. The portion was also huge and perfect to split among two people(my photo looks like there are two, but it’s actually just one roll that they cut in half for me). I would totally return here again if I were hungry and in this part of town.

The food is okay, as cheap lunch goes, but good luck getting it. Service is slow, not helpful, but the main problem is that they’re never prepared for service. The amount of times I’ve been told they’re not making their entire pasta menu, or are out of all rolls, or another pizza won’t be ready for a while… outnumbers how often I’ve actually eaten there. Not worth your trip.

Delicious and fast. Close to Times Square, but without the crazy wait. Will definitely be back.
