Carteret Apts

I have been a tenant since June and I am more than happy with my apartment. The onsite manager, John, is great as well as every staff member on site. The door men are friendly as well as maintenance staff. I put in a work order and things are fixed that day.
4.5 stars would be my real rating– only because there is no A/​C in the apartments and the laundry downstairs does not clean your clothes. (I’ve tried it more than once thinking maybe I did something wrong or had a bad washer– nope. They just don’t get your clothes clean!) I searched for an apartment that had laundry in the building and I can’t even use it. I now resort to sending it across the street.
As long as they keep the rent reasonable there is no reason I would move out of this building. It is a perfect location with the one directly to the right, the C/​E to the left and walking distance to F/​M and N/​R.
Update– still 5 star. (July 2014)

I lived in this building for three years and loved every day of it. The staff is friendly and helpful, repairs are done almost immediately, and the people who live here are very neighborly. I wish I had never moved but I can’t wait to get back. This is the first place I’ll look for an apartment when I do.
