Camper

I bought shoes at Camper that after one day of wear had white heels turn blue. Apparently heels on Camper shoes are made from some super absorbent rubber that takes in any color. I brought them to this store where I was immediately accused of staining with ink from jeans even though I never had these shoes on with jeans. I even offered to exchange them for store credit. The employee looked at me like I was some scammer with zero concern about my situation. Told me the manager would not come up to the counter from downstairs until his break is over in 20 minutes. Basically this store has no concept of customer service and the quality of the shoes is highly suspect.

I think I like this Camper better than the others. Let’s face it, any of them you go to they are the devil: really fun, cute shoes that last a good long time with a not too crazy price tag.
I came to pick up an online order (they ship to the store!) and got enticed into purchasing another pair of shoes. Sigh. Shout out to Harrison, who listened to me go on and on and on about why I needed all these boots… I really did need them. (really!)
The selection is the same as online, which I appreciate. I guess my only gripe, and it’s not really about this particular store, is that they should somehow marry the distribution center and the stores together so everything would be online or one database. That way I could have had MORE shoes!!!

This Camper shop opened very recently, and it is an absolute MUST SEE.
Strolling by, incredibly, I almost missed it, as there is some construction going on and a scaffold is currently obstructing it from plain view.
HOWEVER, the interior is incredible! This is their fourth New York location, as I was informed by the incredibly knowledgeable and helpful staff working there. The design was done by a Japanese artist, Nendo, and he’s done a few other Camper stores worldwide as well.
This is without a doubt the best location to visit if you appreciate a personal touch while trying to find the right pair of shoes for you. While it does occasionally get very busy, for now this place is one of the best kept secrets in the area :]
