I’ve been meaning to review this place for the longest. I’ve been coming here with my girls for happy hour and with my bf to eat. Let me begin by giving them credit with the food; the food it’s amazing although the portions are a bit small. The happy hour is lovely mon-fri until 10 pm; can’t go wrong with $ 5 margaritas n monitors & $ 10 hookahs lol. The service: it really depends who is servicing you in order to make this review. I’ve been coming here for long enough to know who to avoid: no offense but the female waitresses really suck here. My favorite person there is Luis; waiter with glasses, he is super cool; he will suggest happy hour drinks as well as good appetizers. He is amazing and he is mostly the reason why I keep coming back. I’ve had 23 bad experiences here with the female waitresses; they are just not attentive and forget to bring stuff and then are quick to charge you for something you feud not order so be careful. I also came here to celebrate my bday for Sunday brunch; it was awesome I would do it again; and this time another Luis was assisting my table. Overall I give it 4 stars, although I’m here almost every weekend; the manager needs to change some of his staff and keep both Luis lol FYI the mofongo appetizer and the entrée mofongo and pretty much the same size; the taste is great: save yourself the $ 10 n just order the appetizer

Had the appetizer platter and it was amazing. The shrimp dumplings need to be their own appetizer. The hookah is also very good

Great place. Happy hours are POPPING. Great tasting drinks, delicious food, GREAT customers’ service, great atmosphere, great music. To me, it was the perfect place to have some fun and forget about my horrible week. I was here last Friday and had a great time. I recommend anybody to try The Coconut Mojito during the Happy hour or ANY time, it’s definitely a most have! Sangrias are also really delicious and Piña Coladas too. I read some reviews and noticed a few people were complaining about the place and the service, but in my POV service was great. My waitress was like my own genie in a bottle, as soon as I raised my hand to ask for something she was already getting it for me, furthermore she came every 10 minutes to make sure everything was alright. Seriously, i have no complains. I got there around 5:40pm and left almost at 11 and I’m looking forward to go back on Friday. I DO recommend this place to anybody!

The places is good. good people, Good food, Drinks are ok .Can be a little stronger.. Spanish plays a lot, but they switch to hip hop. But not for long. But to be expected for location. Wish I knew Spanish to appreciate the music more. Would come again for sure. Small but not uncomfortable … For now. Night still young.

This place needs a whole new management and staff !! Many places around this area are serving low budget liquor as top shelf and there food is not all that, they are over priced, bad service and a total scham with there fake liquor !!! I can’t stress this enough I order some shots and it tasted like very cheap whiskey ! The vodka I had before was water down and when I asked the bartender about the fake shots she was extremely rude gave me an attitude and the waitress also kept asking me if I was ready for my check… Musics okay but overall it just simply sucks don’t waste time or money ! Fake drinks !!!

Been here at least twice and so far the food is not that great and the drinks suck. They add on a tip to the bill which is fine because it always less than what I would have given anyway. This place is a dump with TV’s right by the train. Also, they clearly only worry about the money they make than the safety of their patrons. Don’t go here. Walk a little further into Inwood or Dyckman. There are plenty of other good places down there.

I visited this spot a few weeks ago for happy hours, It was ok, it wasn’t the BIGWOW! that people make it seem like. Drink for happy hour where pretty cheap literally speaking in both ways in price and in liquor quality. But I guess you can’t go wrong! Service was fine for the simple fact that I was accompanied by someone who knew one of the waiters so we received an ok servicer who seem to be attentive. The atmosphere is nice relax adult crowd music is good. Would I consider to come back maybe.

I didn’t like this place at all. The waitress was very inattentive, she never checked on us, kept disappearing during happy hour. We had to ask another waitress where our waitress was because we saw her by the bar on her phone. The other waitress told us that our waitress was taking her lunch. We questioned her saying«how can that be, you guys just opened at 5& it’s only 6:30. We were told that they’re required to take their lunch break before 7pm. How convenient that happy hour is over at 7pm. Lies My sangria tasted nothing like sangria, more like juice. I ordered an appetizer of mofongo with shrimp -$ 12 the shrimp were cooked well & I liked that in the middle of the mofongo there was a few avocado pieces. But too many onions & peppers(overdressed). We ordered the guacamole appetizer to share amongst 3 of us. I think it was between $ 10& $ 12. The portion was way too small. The flavor was good, chips were warmed up, but, the guacamole itself had too many big onions in it.(Not finely diced). We sat outside. Beware — every 5 minutes the 1 train is passing by so you need to scream across the table. And there were people walking by trying to sell their goods to us. The other thing I disliked was all the hooka smoking. I can’t stand smoke of any kind, and EVERYONE at every table was smoking hooka, in & out of the establishment. When it was time for us to pay & we received the check, there was a 15% gratuity added on. Really? For three ppl having drinks & appetizers during happy hour? Not! My co-worker asked for the manager & our waitress said he wasn’t available, but wanted to know what we needed. She told her she wanted the tip removed from the bill. The waitress said that she has no problem taking it off, she brought us a new check without the tip included. I would never go back here again!

I visited this spot last night for some evening drinks and hookah. If your looking for a low-key place after a long day of work… This is the spot to be. I had a strawberry margarita, which tasted pretty good and some calamari. No complaints. The hookah was very smooth, the staff is friendly, the bathrooms are clean and the restaurant is located away from the madness Dyckman. The prices are also very reasonable. I can’t comment much on the entrees because I did not have any. Overall, I enjoyed myself and I recommend checking out this spot if your in the neighborhood.

My daughter and I was looking for a place for brunch so we randomly picked this place. It was a great choice, the ambience was great and the food was top notched. Brunch consisted of two courses. I had the shrimp mofongo for my appetizer and it was well seasoned and right up to par. It taste just like the mofongo that you get at Raices in San Juan. For my entrée I had the sausage, eggs, bacon & cheese on an English muffin and again it was really tasty and good. My daughter had the steak and eggs and her steak was very juicy. The mimosas were good, not too sweet and not too tart. I will definitely come back again for brunch and I will try something different.

I had a few months without visiting this Uptown spot & needless to say not much has changed… Still slow, food & overall, atmosphere was not great :/I don’t understand why these spots Uptown fuss so much about things; why does it take 10 ppl to sit a group of ladies down when the place is empty? I really cannot grasp my mind around it at all. My friends ordered a pitcher of sangria & returned it bc it tasted like pure juice… My food was bland; I wanted a chicken taco & they didn’t have any in stock(those were the waiters words). I def won’t be returning back here not even on a Monday.

Reviewing solely for the night/lounge hours: You get here at 12:30am. The bouncer ID’s you at the door. You walk in and you’re smacked in the face with thick hookah smoke. A waiter finds herself over to you — she’s short, black hair, Hispanic, wearing really tight clothes, beautiful smile, guides your group of 5 over to a stand alone table — the ones with the hooks under the head. Reggaeton is blasting from the speakers, girls in neighboring tables are dancing, guys in other tables are dancing, you order a round of drinks and a hookah and the music changes to bachata. The drinks get to the table, you start dancing, the music changes to salsa. The hookah gets to the table, you take a few pulls and pass it to your home girl, the music changes to hip hop. You down your drink and start singing along to the latest Drake song. Another round of drinks. The music changes to reggae(if I was rich girl, if I was a rich girl, na na na na na na na na). More dancing. More laughing. A couple of Instagram pictures. Another round of drinks. It’s 3am… You walk out and realize you’re hungry. Repeat 4x during the year. I like this place. I’ll get around to having an actual meal here.

Holly crap this is a must go to spot. First lets gets some random things out the way. Free valet and coat check. two thumbs up. not a shady neighborhood. kudos the ehh part of my night. i made a reservation for three, and i wasn’t informed that there are high tables in the bar area and dinner tables. either would have been fine but not for this occasion. the host knew that i wasn’t happy with the high table was so genuine and called us up within two mins for a table which were reserved for a later time but accommodated us. the food was simply amazing. we ordered two or three apps., the calamaris were superb and im a picky ass. and tostonsitos. if i recall . i ordered the rack of lambs. it was a great presentation and the mashed potatoes was made with love. my comadre and close friend ordered two different churasco meals. one was stuffed with maduros. i think it was called mata hambre. something funkie. it also had melted cheese and shrimp. delicious. fair warning. the happy hour is on point, the drinks aren’t watered down, and they aren’t strong enough where u think you are drinking rubbing alki. very tasty. we ordered the watermelon and hooka. this is perfect for any occasion. we got there about 7 ish and even saw two families there with there little ones. they were about about 8ish. i guess they are regulars there since a mature crowed started to roll in. very trendy spot. i seriously wish the tolls from nj to ny weren’t so pricey i would seriously make my way there at least twice a week.

My boyfriend and I came here on a Sunday night. The food was good(pechuga relleno), the drinks and hookah were good and they had a live band and after 12 it turns into a party with a DJ. Decent spot I gave it 4 stars. Service was ok I guess since we were seated fast.

I don’t like establishments that falsely advertise. Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way… my girlfriends and I were looking for a place to do a little Pre Cinco de Mayo celebrating and we found this place online. Their website stated that on Saturdays they have $ 5 Margaritas so we were down to check it out. We walked in the place(it is very small) and they didn’t have that many tables. They originally wanted to sit us near a group with small kids(a no-no for a group of women that talk about any and every thing). We asked for a table against the wall — we were originally told the table was reserved and that we could sit at the bar. The bar was small and there were only two chairs(there was six of us). After some talking back and forth, the hostess told us we could sit at the table because the table is reserved at 10:30. When we inquired about the $ 5 margaritas we were told that they don’t offer that. When we showed that it stated it on their website, first we were told that they were working on the website and that was an error, then we were told that they were under new management and the manager was not able to get into the website to correct it — huh? It seems to me that if you advertise something you have to honor it but they wouldn’t give us the discounted price. So we’re looking at the menu and it has pictures of frozen margaritas — which is my preference. We were told that they don’t do frozen margaritas, only on the rocks — again, huh? They why have pictures of one thing if you’re not serving it. My girlfriends wanted to stay so we did. We had two drinks each — I had the pina coca loda(or something like that) it had coconut rum and vodka with pineapple juice served in a pineapple. It was ok but nothing to write home about. We also had the nachos with guacamole. That was pretty good although the guacamole could have been a little more spicy for my liking. I think I would have given this place a better rating if they had honored the prices that was listed on their website but I’m not a fan of false advertising!
