Only giving stars because of the variety of food they have; workers are rude and food is basic.

Food market-deli offering many options for breakfast, lunch, dinner and in-between to local hospital and construction workers in the Bellevue, NYU Hospital area. Large variety of juice, soda, snacks, sandwiches, plus hot and cold buffet by the pound. Fast moving service, the lines move quickly. Count your change!

This place is horrible… The Korean guy who works there is half nuts doesn’t know how to speak and has no manors. Place is a major rip off. Do yourself a favor and go up the block to 2nd ave or 34th street. Never going or ordering from this place again!!!

I soo loved this place when it opened initially. I was able to get a decent meal for a fair price. The service was impeccable and fast. Everyone seemed to enjoy what they did. Fast forward 2 years later. Premade salads are $ 1.50 more than they were. Salad Bar is nearly $ 4 more. Grill items are through the roof. Also, think you are going to this place and spending less than $ 8 using your debit/credit card and they will tell you you’re sadly mistaken. They accept nothing less than $ 8 if you’re not rolling with cash. So pre pay day when you’re down to $ 5 in your account and you just wanna run over to delish for a $ 2.75 cup of soup, THINKAGAIN! As much business as they get being across from 2 Large Medical Centers I’d think they’d be thankful enough for the business as not to try so hard to inconvenience their patrons. So in just 1 month I have been witness to lots of attitude from the staff. Examples: There is only 1 premade salad in the case(in the morning) Can someone make a salad for me? Response:(rudely) No! They’ll be ready in a couple of hours.(Ok but I’d like a salad like now for my breakfast like I normally eat. Behind the counter they’ve gone from nice greetings and a thank you to barely saying a word aside from«NEXT!!» Using foul language as they talked to each other even as they’ve spoken on the phone to whomever. My advice, you folks want to charge 5 star prices then then lose the 1 star attitudes and bring back the 5 star service. My co workers and I have opted go elsewhere. Thank you but no thank you Café Deli-cious!

With a name like café delicious you expect to be disappointed, but this place actually lives somewhat up to their name. I’ve gotten a bunch of different sanchwiches ranging from chicken cutlet, to burritos, to steak sandwiches. Never really been disappointed.

Not quite sure why there’s a bunch of negative reviews for Café Delicious. I live one block from the deli and have been stopping in recently. I’ve only ordered breakfast sandwiches and they’ve been really good each time I’ve ordered one. I normally have a bacon egg & cheese and the cheese is extra cheese and delicious, which I love. When the cheese isn’t even melted that’s the worst. I did get an iced coffee the other day and didn’t love it, but that totally could’ve been my fault because it’s a bar where you make your own coffee. I’ll definitely try out the coffee again. The prices are a bit high, but there’s really nothing else around at all. I would totally suggest stopping by if you’re in the area and looking to grab something quick!

Come here often for lunch on workdays. Great salads and buffet selection. Line is always super long during lunch time but moves fast. Reasonable priced.

Not the best food, but one of the closest food places by NYU College of Nursing/Dentistry School and NYU Langone/Bellevue Hospital. When you have 15 minutes in between classes, this is the place you go to. This deli is actually quite large and has a lot of variety. Their sandwiches are gigantic here and they look like they were made for 2. For me, personally, I stick to their buffet section and order some grilled salmon, avocado, veggies and quinoa. Food hits the spot when you just want a quick fix.

I’m a fan because the prices here are quite a relief from typical NYC prices. There is an extensive menu for breakfast and lunch, as well as other typical deli snacks, drinks, and goods. I got bagels with cream cheese both times here and payed only $ 2.40 each time. The bagels itself were a bit small, but i don’t eat that much anyway. The first time, I got the lox spread, which was very good! but could have been better with a few more pieces of salmon. Second time, I got scallion cream cheese which I thought was delicious! Just the right amount of scallion: cream cheese ratio, nicely salted, right amount of cream cheese, etc. And both times, the bagels were nice and hot and toasted. The salad bar is also decently priced, and about 5.50 to $ 7.00. You can make your own salad or there’s pre-made salad. The serving size is pretty filling too. The lunch bar has a nice variety ranging from Asian food to american style, and its $ 7.99 per pound.

This place is much bigger and nicer than your average NYC deli. They have an extensive bar of hot food, mostly generic food and Chinese food. There’s also a really popular salad bar that usually has a long line. I stick to the soup, which is pretty solid. The chicken gumbo fills me up for lunch, however I’ll update this post as I try more things. Just for scale, my cup of soup and bag of pita chips cost me $ 4.74. It’s very hard to beat that price. Note: bring cash if your order is less than $ 8 and to avoid the rush of doctors, nurses, and the like, don’t go at 12 noon.

Clean and fresh; Words that describe both the interior and the open food bar. Large selection for meat lovers, vegiterians, and vegans a like. No matter how busy or long the lines are, they move quick. A great place to catch lunch on the go.

As the only game in town, Café Delicious does not have to do much to stay afloat. They have a decent selection at the hot bar, their sandwiches are not bad and the salad bar is one of the better ones I have seen anywhere. For the only lunch spot around it is nice to have such variety all in one spot as to not feel like you’re eating the same thing every single day. The service is fast and they know what they’re doing when it comes to dealing with the lunchtime rush. Some pro-tips: — Ask for your salad chopped before the dressing is added — Substitutions can be made on the special sandwiches. Some I’d recommend: buffalo chicken on the chicken cheesesteak and pesto chicken on the bellevue

Café delicious is your typical NYC deli. It’s nice cause it’s located on 1st Avenue where only hospitals reside. There really isn’t anything to eat here so I appreciate this place very much. Café delicious has a hot bar which I will say is pretty decent. It includes sushi, yes sushi that is stuffed with rice but nevertheless it’s one of the options. They also have a salad bar with your typical meat and 5 add ons. One annoying thing is that they have a minimum credit card of $ 8. I always get the salad which a small comes out to $ 7.50 and always need to pay with cash. Did they do that on purpose??? Probably. Anyways. For where you are this is a great find in the land of no restaurants.

I was going to make a joke about 1st Avenue being«Bedpan Alley» but then decided that this is a family friendly website, and going down that road would get gross. So let’s stick to the facts. There just aren’t a lot of food options in the lower 30s/upper 20s on 1st Ave. It’s a wonder there aren’t better food truck options. But Delicious is a pretty standard lunch spot where you can get nine different things. The cashiers are fast, the food is unremarkable, but it’ll do in a pinch. Most of the time I get the salad. And being this is a generic deli, you get the generic deal: 1 meat, a few fruits/vegetables and dressing. It’ll do in a pinch.

I’m glad it exists, yet I believe they prosper from the drought of food options in the immediate area. Their prices are too high, and the $ 8 card minimum is annoying,

Around Bellevue there can be slim pickins so this is one of my go to-spots. The buffet is pretty clutch however it can be pricey and you should go by early afternoon to get the freshest stuff. Also be weary of the Bellevue lunch rush. Their grill top isn’t bad either — I highly recommend the steak fajita lunch special — it’s packed with flavor and at a bargain price that will definitely fill you up and leave you satisfied.

This place is crawling with people in scrubs and lab coats. The need to leave that stuff at work! PLEASEDON’T LETHEALTHPROFESSIONALSINTODELIWHENTHEYAREINSCRUBSANDLABCOAT! IT’S NOTSANITARY!!! they are leaning over the salad bar area in their gear!!! WEDON’T NEEDTHEIRGERMSINFESTINGOURFOOD. I’m pretty sure health inspectors would not be happy if they witnessed that! ugh! I wear a lab coat at work. And it stays at work where it belongs when I go outside into the real world.

Café Delicious is what it is. It’s a conveniently located deli that caters to the big crowd of doctors, students, and patients from NYU Medical, Beth Israel, and the VA. They have a big enough grill to tend to a large group of customers during peak morning and lunch times. Their menus include everything from breakfast sandwiches, paninis, and a hot food salad bar. They also sell baked goods that I would not recommend– their muffins and croissants are horrid, but it hits the spot if you are running low on sugar on your way out of an on-call shift at the hospital. They have a huge selection of hard-to-obtain Whole Foods-like snacks from Protein Bakery brownies to organic Theo chocolate bars. They do have a few bags of Lays and Ruffles but it seems as though they try to narrow their variety of snacks to items that are deemed«cooler» and«healthier». It’s managed by Koreans who use Spanish help, and both parties cannot care less about the quality of service. There are no seating area at Café Delicious so take everything to go. There is a $ 8 card minimum.

I really wish I could like this place since it’s so convenient for me. However, the service here is atrocious. Do not get delivery from this place. Even though I am located at Bellevue, directly across the street, it took them 1.5 hours to deliver my salad. They kept telling me that the delivery guy had already left but it only takes 30 secs to cross the street. I called them 3 times and each time their promise was broken. I would go to the lobby to meet them but no one would be there. Eventually, I called to cancel my order. The guy reluctantly agreed to refund my order but then called me anyways 10 minutes later when the delivery guy finally got to the lobby. I felt slightly sorry for them seeing how they are a new business so I just paid for the salad. He made no offer to comp it for my troubles. I ended up eating dinner at 1AM thanks to café delicious. Also, most of the time when I go in person to order a salad, the guys behind the counter just go about their business. No one acknowledges my presence for about 5 minutes. When I tell them I want a salad, it never fails that the guy on salad duty has gone somewhere else. It’s as if no one else there has been trained to make salads. Of the food that I have had from here(breakfast sandwiches, salads, wraps), everything is just average. Nothing is outstanding. It’s all just sustenance. NY Bagel down the street and, dare I say, even Panini Tozt does it better. I think I speak for all Bellevue employees when I say: Get your act together café delicious! Just because you have cornered a market doesn’t mean you can just half-ass everything! Since this is literally the closest place to Bellevue that serves any real food, I have no doubt that I will have to come here again at some point. If they somehow improve their operations, I will reconsider my rating, but as of now, I will be taking my business elsewhere if I can help it.
