I’ve heard a lot about this restaurant and decided to give it a chance. I reserved a table for 2 but as soon as I showed up there was a 15 minute wait for my table, and not only that I was asked to wait a bit longer as my 2nd party hadn’t shown up, but I insisted on the table, so I got it.
Had a glass of Rose, which was good. Ordered Chicken with Waffles, which was just OK. Ordered a Pecan Sundae, which was amazing :)
In terms of the service, the waitress was friendly, the Host needs to improve on her abilities as a host, seemed grumpy!

Two pieces (drum and thigh) fried chicken and cheddar waffle wedge for $ 10. Having recently had fried chicken at bob white and the cardinal. this chicken just didn’t really stack up. Maybe it’s not fair to compare fried chicken sold at a tent outside at Smorgasburg to proper restaurant eating but I can’t help but compare and it just didn’t measure up. Not as crispy or flavorful.

The chicken and cheddar waffles were delicious and the best I’ve ever had.
You’d be good with just the chicken alone. Very juicy and flavorful. The syrup has some sort of vinegar infusion going on. Awesome.
Next time, I will try the duck meatloaf. Someone next to us ordered it and it looked incredible.
Great cocktails too! I want to come here for brunch.

They only serve two things here: Chicken with cheddar waffles ($ 10) and bottled water ($ 1)
Unfortunately for me, they ran out of waffles so I got two pieces of fried chicken for $ 8. You would think that if this was the ONE food thing you were serving, you would have enough of both elements.
What I really wanted was the total package and because there were no waffles, I had to imagine what my meal could have tasted like had there been some.
On the plus side, the chicken was definitely delicious — the skin extra crispy and the meat tender and juicy on the inside.

Chicken with cheddar waffles. We are talking nirvana here. Tried today at Smorgasburg and I’m sure to eat this again. Crispy juicy and perfectly seasoned on top of that waffle, oh yeah. First time and I want to know why I didn’t have this before.
