I could not rate this pharmacy any higher. The best compliment I could provide would be to give them rave reviews on their own merits: their service, consistent retention of information and desire to go above-​and-​beyond. All true. But when you think about the alternatives (the CVS down the street, for example) where one feels like they are stuck in an infinite loop in an Ayn Rand novel — you simply cannot go anywhere else. Small businesses are not always the best option in this day and age (unfortunately). But not so in this case — Broadway Chemists is on it all the time.

Hands down the best family run, independent pharmacy on the UWS. I make a special trip there even though I do not live in the neighborhood, because they always remember my name, go out of their way to deal with any issues I’ve had with prescriptions being renewed, and are extremely courteous. I have been so happy with them. They have a level of customer service that one rarely gets from CVS, Duane Reade or Walgreens. Highly recommend them.

Outstanding. Old-​fashioned courtesy and personalized service from this family-​run independent pharmacy. They remember your name, your kids’ names, everyone’s medications, your address, etc. Will never go to big chains for prescriptions again. A great asset to the neighborhood.

I’ll never go to Duane Reade again! I went here for the first time today on the recommendation of my daughter’s pediatrician who practices down the street. I needed three prescriptions filled. Two they had in stock and filled those quickly, but the third they said they couldn’t get in until later that afternoon. So they delivered it to me this evening, free of charge! Amazing. The people were really nice and I’ll definitely be back!

This place is fantastic. The staff is super friendly, they remember me every time I go in, plus they make getting my prescriptions filled super easy. Last time I needed a prescription filled, my doctor called the prescription in and an hour later the prescription was delivered to my apartment which is a good 25 blocks from Broadway Chemists. They saved my credit card info on file (with my permission) so now I just call in or go down there, hand them my prescription or ask for a refill, and BAM they deliver it in less than 24 hours if they don’t have it in store. If they do have it in store, it takes about 5 minutes for them to fill the prescription. Even though this place is far from where I live, I will definitely keep going back for the great service. Also, did I mention? Delivery is totally free!

Broadway Chemists is a family operated store. Everyone who works there is extremely friendly and helpful. Service is impeccable.
They are a small pharmacy, so if you have a large quantity request, you should make sure to ask in advance (they always have enough for first few days but may need a day to get a month’s worth). So, if you are going out of town and need a rarely prescribed medication, I would suggest leaving a day or two for them to fill it before you leave.
Broadway Chemists has a nice variety of drug store products including the newest season of nail polish, high end bath products, hair accessories, reading glasses, and an assortment of OTC aids. They do deliveries as well. I would highly recommend using them.
