Have to agree with the first reviewer, the pizza here is great. Very fresh and made just right. Location is wonderful, close to subway. The service that I received was good, no complaints there. Overall, solid pizza place, with good food, good service, and affordable prices. Recommend.

I’m surprised this is the first review because this place has seemingly been here forever. It’s got the«we haven’t touched a thing in 25 years vibe» going on. But maybe it has something to do with the fact that there’s no name on the sign out front… it simply says«Pizza.» And if you do go inside, the«to go» menus are carbon copies of something made in 1983. The offerings stay the same, but every now and again someone«whites out» the price and hand writes a new cost. A meatball parm hero is now topping out at $ 6. I arrived by accident, after my intended lunch spot was closed up. By now I was hungry and didn’t want a sit-down meal. The selection pretty much seemed average, with 4 – 5 different types of slices including a square. What caught my eye, however, was a tomato pie. A simple slice of what looks like cheese and sauce. Lots of sauce. I like pizza sauce so I ordered one and one is all I needed. The first thing noticed was the heft. This puppy was twice as thick as a normal slice. Kinda like a mini Chicago pizza. And not to be content with just tomato sauce, there were actually slices of tomato mixed in. Also, this slice reminded me of nearby L&B Spumoni, where the put the cheese on the crust first, then the sauce on top. This creates an interesting chew, but also elevates the sauce to the main stage. I have to say, if you have a tomato fetish, this might be the best slice in town. Upon leaving, I took a look again at the other pizzas and none had the same thickness. It was an oddity… a no name place on a quiet street turning out average pizza has created one special pie as an homage to the Gods of Solanum lycopersicum.
